New Lawn Care Trailer!
Just got the new lawn care trailer in and setup with racks. Will be putting it to work for the 2022 season. The trailer I got is a triple crown 6x14 open trailer with 15 inch sides. It was hard to get this trailer surprisingly as suppliers near me make few 14 foot trailers and quickly sell out. I Luckily managed to find one in my area to buy. Will be making more videos on it later!

In this video I show how I plumbed my belt drive pressure washer to my buffer tank. The pressure washer I have now is a belt drive that sucks water good and has a bypass hose going to the tank so it does not overheat. I previously tried to plumb my direct drive pressure washer with no luck to my buffer tank so I got a belt drive instead. I believe because my last pressure washer did not have a ...

Just made this quick video to show a belt drive pressure washer I recently purchased. Of course it’s used but it’s new to me and it runs good so that is good for me. I will be making future videos with it as well. If you can like, comment and subscribe it would be a huge help. Thank you and have a great rest of your day!

I’ve uploaded a couple videos before this one of trying to run my direct drive pressure washer with a buffer tank. I’ve tried to gravity feed it with an ibc tote and did not satisfy me. Now in this video I tried using a 12v pump to feed the water in my buffer tank to the pressure washer. The pressure washer I use in this video is a BE 4200 pressure washer with a Honda gx390 and a 67dx Cat pump....

Hello everyone, So here is how I hooked up my direct drive pressure washer to my buffer tank. I’ve tried it out connected using a gravity feeding method but I don’t believe it is most efficient method for the pressure washer. However, the pump does suck water ok but it feels like there is inconsistent amounts of water coming out. Next I will try connecting a 12v 5.5 gpm everflo pump to force fe...

    Did you ever figure out your water pressure issue with your buffer tank?

  • @UriValdez

    A buffer tank is not needed for a 4gpm machine. A faucet normally yields 8gmp

    I use a direct drive no issues if you use a buffer tank it’s a must to use a 12v 3-5 gpm pump to support that pressure washer otherwise u can burn pump but no issues

    $150 bucks on 5 gpm pump on buffer tank outlet,no need to worry about flow or cavitation.

  • @douglasjennings09
    @douglasjennings09 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The only work around using a buffer tank is for the tank to be slightly higher than the inlet on the pressure washer if you dont have the minimum GPM that the pressure washer is rated for it will cavitate and pulsate because the pressure washer is not getting enough water flow. The electric pump needs to be at least 60-70 psi and about 20% more GPM than the pressure washer is rated for.

      Do you think this set up can work for just priming the pump and then just using the buffer tank to run a 8gpm pump?

    • @douglasjennings09
      @douglasjennings09 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @cozmozreveng I run an RV water pump to pull from my buffer tanks and it works fine. But I also had my newer designed CAT pump replaces with the older more tried and tested CAT pump. Open your ball valve or squeeze the wand trigger while doing this turn in the electric pump until you have flow out of the valve or wand then start the pressure washer engine. When shutting down just do these steps in reverse. The choice in water pump is important also as some will shut off for thermals and you will have to wait a while before they will re energize.

    Not all pumps can suck from a buffer tank, most pumps are designed to have a garden hose connected directly to the pressure washer. For a direct drive system you need either a belt or gear reduction drive system. I agree with your vent, but if you are depending on water pressure cuz your tank is full, as your tank empties you would eventually lose pressure

    The noise may be that the pump isn’t getting a steady flow of water like it would from the tap. If your tote was full of water it would flow a lot better also. If your pressure washer was lower than the tank it would flow better.

    Since this video was 2 years ago I'm sure you've already figured out your problems... but from what I could see... your tank wasn't vented and your water line was to low. You don't have to raise the tank as long as the water line is higher than your pump. The tank has to be vented while your using it so the water can flow freely... I've been using a buffer tank for over a year now with no issues and I get just over 4 gpm flow. The only time you need an external pump to feed the pressure washer is if you over 4 gpm. Hope that helps!

    I have a direct drive also yes it can be done but you might fall in the risk of burning your pump because u have to hold trigger - but now they sell these unloaded valves that will not have to hold gun constantly and can pour the released water in buffer tank with no issues

    Replace that 275g monstrosity with a 50-70 gallon tank and mount it higher than your washer with a 1" feed line, you'll save yourself hauling that thing around and it will gravity feed your washer better.

  • @joshuamckinley8707
    @joshuamckinley8707 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why aren't you feeding the buffer tank from the top? Keep enough water in it and a larger supply line to the machine and the water pressure in the tank should feed it fine

  • @bryanmontgomery4050
    @bryanmontgomery4050 ปีที่แล้ว

    That little noise is pump cavitation, it will ruin that pump!!!

  • @bryanmontgomery4050
    @bryanmontgomery4050 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only reason you need a buffer tank on a pump that small is just to send water from the unloader to keep the pump cool when not using the gun, you can even just let it run on the ground.

  • @bryanmontgomery4050
    @bryanmontgomery4050 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tie into a line feeding to a float valve and double feed the pump, you will always have a good amount of pressure feeding the pump, when the tank gets full the supply water will feed the pump 100%.

  • @bryanmontgomery4050
    @bryanmontgomery4050 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dual feed the pump with 1” and use a bypass back to the buffer tank from the unloader and you will be fine.

  • @JacksoClean617
    @JacksoClean617 ปีที่แล้ว

    4gpm machine most cases needs to be gravity fed, so you have to fill that tank atleast halfway up and it should be plumbed down towards your inflow

  • @wehttamgtrekce
    @wehttamgtrekce 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Funny to come across this video. Earlier today I tried the same thing with a 2.5 GPM /3000 psi. It worked fine but it felt just slightly light in the volume. But even still my surface cleaner was working great. The surface cleaner is a better indicator of a proper amount of water volume and pressure than a wand with a yellow tip on it. I tasted it with only about 10 gallons of water in the tank with a 75ft garden hose feeding the pump. If I tested it with 55 to 100 gallons of water and a 5ft hose to the pump, I would probably not be able to tell the difference between gravity fed and house fed. I believe that any pump that is pushing water out one end is automatically creating a vacuum on the other end. A 12 volt can start off dry and suck up water, just like a wet vac. But my 2.5 GPM pressure washer most likely needs to first have water fed to it, then as it pushes water out one end it creates a vacuum and continues to draw water in and through the pump. Can a belt driven pump start off dry and suck water up like a 12 volt can?

    Some of the direct drives may pull some water, but some won’t. Either pump water from the buffer or swap to a gear drive pump.

    Your chemical injector is sucking air, that’s why it’s pulsating with ball valve
