Taking the first shots on an IPSC target with my new Limcat Wildcat Perfect Sight pistols. Since this is a change from my Tanfoglio pistols, I will have to make adjustments to my grip and possibly my stance. First few shots went well.

Fort McMurray Moving Props
มุมมอง 8K12 ปีที่แล้ว
Some of the moving props we built out of wood and PVC for our indoor range here in Fort Mac. Range rules say that no metal targets are allowed, so we had to improvise using wood. The get shot up a bit, but the parts are easy enough to change out. These targets come out every time we have our IPSC practice nights in the winter months.

    • @SpideySteve
      @SpideySteve 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes for sure. Johnny and Julian Lim were great guys, easy to deal with and the guns work fantastic. 2 things to note: These guns are no longer IPSC legal due to the change in definition of "compensator" and I am actually getting the top ends changed by Limcat. They are not doing it for free (of course) but they are doing it for a discounted price. Great service from them. Personal feel of the trigger wasn't ideal for my shooting style. I bought some SVI internals and reshaped the sears to how I wanted the triggers to feel. There was nothing technically wrong with the guns when I received them, just not to my exact liking. HTH

    Hi where did you purchase that gun in Canada any link? And what price they go for?

    • @SpideySteve
      @SpideySteve 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ron Cameleon I imported them. Purchased directly from Limcat and used an importer to get them here. Not that difficult. I bought them in 2012 and received them in 2013. Cost with 6 tuned mags was just over $10k CAD. That was with exchange, shipping, duty, fees, etc. because of the exchange right now, likely you would be close to $14k CAD

  • @MichaelJMalloy

    Are you faster and more accurate with the Limcat versus the Tanfoglio?

    • @SpideySteve
      @SpideySteve 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure I would say more accurate .. definitely the Limcat handles nicer and in general shoots better. I've got a good load which is quite soft and I can recover the sights quicker than I ever could with the Tanfo .. now that I've gone to the 2011 platform I highly doubt I would go back to Tanfo

    I think it's a bit of both actually. Johnny Lim did a great job on the triggers on these 2. Both under 2.5 lbs. both break very crisp. And the slide vs pivot I think is working better for me already. Been doing some dry fire and the gun just comes up bang on. Grip is very positive.

  • @ajd2003
    @ajd2003 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Cool! So are the triggers on the Limcats more crisp or is it the fact that they slide instead of pivot?

  • @SpideySteve
    @SpideySteve 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    They are awesome. I've had them to the range once so far. They shoot fantastic. The grips are great. I like the trigger much better than the Tanfoglio.

  • @ajd2003
    @ajd2003 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Steve, I see you got your Limcat pistols and they look fantastic. So when you shoot them let me know how they compare to your tanfoglios.

  • @SpideySteve
    @SpideySteve 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hard to describe .. But these ones have a very short reset. Under 2.5 lb pull. Break is clean and crisp. The biggest difference is in the hinged action vs the straight back action of the 2011 trigger. I was pushing left for the most part. Just need some dry fire with them

  • @ajd2003
    @ajd2003 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    So what is your impression of the limited custom in 40? I shoot USPSA and I am thinking about buying one of these to shoot in limited class. Judging by you video it doesn't have much recoil with major loads and the cuts in the slide probably allow you to physically shoot the gun faster as it settles quicker. Also are you shooting 180 grain bullets and what is a good oal for good feeding? I like my glocks but they cant even come close to having a trigger as good as the limited out of the box.
