Do I need to bleed after replacing clutch?

What is this electronic system UE800 on this PCB board?

Why can't you just remove the round inner cover, to access the clutch, instead of removing the whole inner primary cover?

I've had the same problem intermittently for years. These speakers seem to be sensitive to the USB cables. Just swapped the cable connecting the two speakers, and they're working fine again. I'm pretty sure the first cable was original, and certainly the replacement wasn't. Notably I used a cable that had worked with a Garmin to sync device to computer, when an older cable I'd used would only charge. Not all USB cables are the same. Def try out with alternatives before giving up.

So no Part #2 but if you have basic soldering skills you can use the Part #1 info to fix your KEF speakers. I had the same problem and replaced the same capacitors and got them working again. All the components were available on Amazon. The power supply is a PITA to get out but rather than taking the speakers out I clipped off the top of the rear plastic retainers and replaced them on the reinstall. Also he kinda misleads you on the right speaker power supply...you need to replace those capacitors as well. I replaced all 3 capacitors on both power supplies even though not all of them had domed tops. Also replaced the capacitor on the DAC board as he indicated. Take pictures as you pull everything out as it will help when you have to recable everything. Final step of reinstall is to wrap batting over the top of the rear panel (0ver the port tube and down the sides) then shove it back in pushing in the batting as needed with your fingers. This is the second time my speakers have falied. First time KEF fixed them for only $50 and paid for the shipping back...cool. This time they said "sorry guy we no longer support these speakers or have parts". My theory is that even though the speakers go into "sleep mode" when your turn off whatever device you have them plugged into...the power supplies are still hot and this could cause premature death for the capacitors which have a finite lifetime. So I am turning off the speakers completely when I turn off the PC I have them plugged into in the hopes that this will prolong their life. Hope this helps.

Can you please provide a part 2? If you haven’t fixed them, maybe just record a short video saying you haven’t been able to fix them, woud appreciate it. Otherwise you’re just leaving a bunch of people hanging and believing that you found the actual problem when you may not have. You can do it! Haha. Thx

I recently bought these secondhand speaker. The first few days worked pretty well. However yesterday when I plugged in the power cable, the speaker couldn’t turn on. The light indicator didn’t light up. Anyone knows what the problem is and how to fix it?

I have an 03 and I want to take those chrome covers off to have them rechromed. Could I still ride around with just the 2 covers removed? It doesn’t seem like they’re attached to the oil at all thanks

How long after putting it together should you wait for the gasket sealant to cure before starting up bike .

I'm having same speakers, but suddenly the port 4 Aux & port 5 USB micro, both are not working anymore and no maintenance shop can do it and KEF repair shop asking for almost same price of all speaker to get it fix by them

I have these speakers but I don't know what is wrong. The main control speaker all it does is turn on blinking blue then the light changes to amber blinking then it goes to solid red. The manual states solid red equals turn off speaker. Has anyone else found anyone or any way to repair their speakers ? Now I have a £400 paperweight..

What i did is, i used the thinnest metal clutch plate and put it against the back and built my clutch assembly from there. It works good...

Gotta say, this is a very good walk through. Personally I have been working on motorcycles for nearly 20 years and there is basically nothing I haven't done on a bike from engine/transmission work all the way to a full tear down, custom paint, performance engine work, etc. With this walk through you could literally do the job for the first time and not have any issues. Well done.

IT IS DIE CAST AND WHEN IT COMES OUT IT IS PRETTY MUCH FINISHED--THAT IS WHY IT IS COVERED UP IN CHROME PLATED PLASTIC---IT USUALLY WILL GO BACK TOGETHER WITH JUST A THIN COAT OF GASKET MATERAIL UNLESS IT HAS BEE BEAT UP ON THE ROAD AS IN LAIED DOWN OR DROPPED IN TRANSIT

How do you remove the bezel to reveal the screw holes for the driver?

Same problem. Left speaker doesn’t work, and the right makes all kinds of noises. Worked fine for a few years. Now KEF says they don’t have parts or repairs for this speaker any more. Would be great to get them fixed, or I have $700 paper weights.

What Specific torque wrench is used here???,,, so i can go buy one to change my clutch on 04 vtx 1800.

HOW MANY MILES ON THE VTX BEFORE IT TYPICALLY NEEDS A NEW CLUTCH?

My right speaker doesn't re-activate after standby mode. I contacted KEF and was quoted $250 + shipping or a crappy trade in deal. I read somewhere else that some guy had his repaired only to have them fail again. These speakers cost $600+, mine are barely three years old with very light usage. This is unacceptable quality, I will never buy another KEF product again. I'd like to know if you were able get these fixed. I'd rather spend my money with you rather than KEF.

Excellent video! I just picked up a beautiful VTX 1800 with 38,000 miles. Runs super but due to the low level of the fluid in the clutch reservoir I have a feeling a clutch pack will be a "soon" project. Thank you!
