@ grab a pan. There’s flour gold in that black sand. Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan all have it on Lake Superior! Not many know but it’s true! All the glaciers from millions of years ago washed all the Canadian gold down! Now it’s pretty evenly spread across the land as flour gold. You don’t make a living off of it but it’s a fun hobby!

@ I have a small channel myself and have a video coming out tomorrow morning as my first gold panning video on Lake Superior. I actually found some specs…nothing worth a damn but it’s fun to see if you can grab a pan and find some specs! lol

I used to use a flap disc on my grinder. This is soooooo much faster lol.

Thanks. Yes the xj ones are to short. You can use the stock liberty ones though. For me the bolts ended being easier to track down in the small town I live in.

Probably not gonna be cheap at a shop. Nope I’m in Michigan unfortunately. Check out the brown dog motor mounts. They have ones that use other holes in the block. That’s what I was going to do if couldn’t get the broken bolts out.

If I remember correctly I used nylon lock nuts.

This mod will not work on the dana 35 as far as I know. I believe you have to use the jeep ZJ rear disc brake parts if I remember correctly.

It’s basically all Jeep Liberty rear disc break parts other than the ZJ break lines.

Oh and the studs are front Jeep XJ Dana 30 studs.

Big lifts aren't necessary. My buddy, who off roads all the time out in Idaho, told me years ago that 33s are plenty for off-road. I will likely do the Kryptonite 3" lift on my Z71 Burb and run with a set of 285/75/17 tires. Brand new FX4 super duty trucks come with that size, so they have to be capable.

I agree in Michigan especially. That’s all I run on my actual wheeling rig. My Jeep XJ is on 33x13.50x15 Open Country MTs with a spartan locker up front. The suburban is more my tow rig and back road cruiser lol.

Thanks. I didn’t want a ton of extra weight so kept everything as minimal as possible. But still have everything I need inside for a trip at all times. Just throw some food in the fridge and grab some clothes and go.

The wheel centering is the same as far as I know. Never seen a issue with this swap.

Definitely hard to beat the upper peninsula of Michigan in the summer!
