Monday's Update Edition- Moving the Chicken Pen, Banana tree is Blooming and Planting Late Collards
Did you get any error codes when you started it up without the dpf just wondering ?
Did your tractor macula of-knocking noise before you cleaned the DPF ? My L 47 sounds like it has a knock in it I was wondering if it has a clogged DPF. Twill start though.
More government bs you shouldn't need all this epa bs
What would happen if you just removed the darn filter?
GREAT INFORMATION 😇👍🏾
Need recipe
Do you think we could hollow out the inside filters, so this would not have to be done again? Thanks Scott
people have to get together to convince the goverments this def and pollution crap is worse than what it was designed to cure.
Im afraid of pressure cookers...
I subbed today. I live in Pensacola and bananas will die back in the winter, but re-emerge in the spring. Pretty plants.
We used to make pear relish every year. We used a pre-made pickling spice mixture with ingredients similar to the spices he used. I recommend using pears that remain crisp and firm when ripe, not the kind that get soft when ripe. We used sand pears, a type that many view as inferior for eating, but which I like quite a bit. It goes great with all kinds of meats and vegetables.
Can I get the recipe please? Really just the amounts of seasonings. Thanks!
Gotta check it out took the valve cover off thinking I heard a lose nut or something in it
thanks for that
So instead of blowing out of the exhaust pipe and then settling on the ground, they put this thing in the middle that screws the performance up so you have to take it out manually and let it fall on the ground instead of just shooting out of your tailpipe and falling on the ground😅 good to know our government is looking out for us. lol
Looks so yummy 😋 I'm fixing to make my first pear relish tomorrow 😊
That will work. On those smaller machines that have infrequent and short use... DPF's are problematic.
Thanks i figured that’s what it was and your the only one with video that is good with information thanks I thought my motor was broken to sounded like my rods were broken 😅
Diabetic recipe is splenda 1.5 splenda 3 figs. I dont add lemon. Just opened a jar from 2022, and perfectly preservedfor 2 years on shelf.
I do 1 to 3 sugar and figs with just enough water to keep it from scorching. Cook until nicely browned, about 1 hour. Jar in sterilized jars and seal.
Catalpa
Can you drill it out???
How many hours did you have on the clock before the first DPF cleaning? Good work. I appreciate your - it's not rocket surgery - attitude toward it. So many folks are scared of tasks they haven't done before.
Cool DARK place.
Hello from Canada.
The clogging is from unburned diesel coating your dpf. I would consider the fuel injection pressure and / or the turbo spooling up. I didn't hear yours. My thoughts are that your engine is causing your dpf to clog. Is the turbo spooling up? Is your fuel pump pressure high enough to get a clean burn. I own a TYM T474, no turbo, 204 hours, never regens. My point is that the engine exhaust is so poor that it's clogging your dpf. If you let water pass the separator, the injector nozzles will warp/crack. I am not a tractor mechanic, but I served as a Snipe abroad more than a few ships for fourteen years.
Thanks
If you have a hydro trans, keep your rpms over 2000 when working and your DPF won't clog and you won't regen very often.
Thank man.
We built ours on skids so they can be easily moved. Also, rather than flimsy chicken wire, 1” X 2” heavy wire screening. Covered with strongbarn. Will last 50 years.
I was wondering how long should your chicken last on the shelf. How many years or months?
I believe it is 2 to 5 years, but always go by the safety guidelines. If you google "shelf stable food safety usda," you will find a full list to go by.
want to put chicken through a grinder, bone, skin and it comes out like ground chicken, never even knowing it has bone or skin, then I want to can it for my dogs. Do I need to worry about the fat content?
Pretty sure it would be a good idea to trim as much fat off as you can. If it turns out to be too much with just the skin, it should be at the top of the jar after canning. Especially if your grinding the chicken. Good luck with your canning.
@@pawpawjohnshomesteading1004 Tried it, did great, a good feeling to have healthy food for my dogs.
Can you graft to any tree?
The short answer is no. Fortunately, these days, it's very easy to find the information for the rootstock you may be looking for. Good luck with your grafting adventure.
What was about your total cost to build this?
That's been a minute, but I believe it was a little under 250 on materials. I'm sure it will be a little more now with the price changes.
Its been awhile since I canned. Your video helped remind me how to cut the quarters and get the backbone out without sacrificing meat. Thanks!
Thank you sir! Just found your channel and subscribed. I have a few Bradford pears on our property and will be grafting some fruiting pears in central Ms. where are you located I’m assuming some where in the south as well.
You're welcome. I'm located a couple of states over in GA. You won't regret making the effort grafting those pears in. You can graft in several different pear varieties on the same tree. Good luck turning them trees into something useful.
I love Figs...fresh or preserves...wasp or not 😂
Great video. Very informative and helpful!
Thank you
Nice work, fence work is never complete
Thank you. You are absolutely right.
You have weird chickens, the ones in the supermarket don't have any feathers. What is wrong with yours? Just kidding.
I always tape a filter to the back of my fan that circulates my heat. I have been using milk jug greenhouses for years just like you showed. Thumbs up
I like that tractor!
Motor power makes a dpf flush cleaner. They have a TH-cam video about it. It looks like it does a great job. Thanks for the information about the knocking and the disassembly. Oh, they say it is reusable.
Thanks for the information. May have to go that route next go round.
@@pawpawjohnshomesteading1004 Don't know about dpf but when I clean my egr cooler on my ram pickup I plug 1 end and spray a can of brake cleaner in the other, let soak for an hour and it looks like new inside.
I like your homestead very interesting i going to keep watching ❤
Awesome! Thank you!
Just bought a brand new LX 4020 to move snow in mountain resort. dealership put howes diesel treatment in it and sold me a bottle to treat diesel because the temp is around 0 degrees F at 10000 feet elevation. I have 17.2 hours on the tractor and the thing won’t start. tried for 3 days finally put 911 in fuel filter and added a little to the tank as per specs. still won’t start. had to tow it through 4 feet of snow 150 yards as the kubota dealership in my area wanted to charge me 8 hours of labor just to drive out to and from my location because i didn’t buy it from them. took it to a kubota dealership in a different state but only 1.5 hours from me. They told me the DPF is completely clogged due to the fuel. SOOO no warranty and no insurance coverage. $12000.00 to fix. the tractor was only $39000.00 WTF! Kubota service and insurance and Sales all suck. They blame it on the other dealerships, no one is taking responsibility for taking care of tractor. Read your manual and warranty and insurance form. If it is fuel related. NO COVERAGE. DONT BUY Kubota! LIARS and Fraudsters. Does anyone have any insight or help here ? Just lost over $20000 on contracts for snow removal. and looks like i wont be getting this tractor back for at least 3 to 4 weeks, even if i pay the extortion money to fix it. and then im sure it will just gel up again and and wont start and will have to go through this all again in another 17 hours. only about 15 total gallons of fuel have gone through this engine 8 of which was put in by the dealer and i only put 12 oz. of howes in the 10 gallons of ulsd i bout from costco. tier one diesel.
Not familiar with that particular tractor but 12 grand is a bit much for a clogged filter. Sorry for your luck but we are not the first ones to get had by that DPF. Had me stumped for sure. My tractor did the shake rattle and stop right in the middle of the drive. Did the full mechanical troubleshooting and everything was good but would not crank. No air in the lines, fuel filters good, no trash in the fuel, etc... Before it took its last breath, it sounded as if the rods were about to shoot from under the hood. Needless to say, i jumped on line after that scare and discovered that all the symptoms pointed toward that filter. So thankful for the few videos i did find. Figured I would share the knowledge to save folks a little trouble. Mechanic'd most of my life, mainly out of necessity, and this one left me scratching my head.. Thank you for the comment and good luck on getting your tractor back up and running.
I hear a BS story. Love to hear the other side...
Nice job!!!
Thank you
I bet you wish you could of taken the LOADER & hood off befor this "fiasco " started. Such a GREAT VIDIO, saving yourself 1000s. The WHOLE procedures would not of been possible without your Trusty"Special-Tool". My Dad always said "if you are not using a Hammer;/ you are Not fixing it, you're just REPLACING PARTS. I am also a "firm believer ", where as, you should "Never-Force-it";= "You just Need a Bigger Hammer. Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours.
Been in tighter spots but a little more knuckle room would have been nice. Lol. Thank you for taking time to comment and to you as well.
Gas should dissolve that. Trick I used on pistons was soaking in gas overnight to dissolve the carbon off.
Thank you. Not sure about this corn gas now a days but the old school gas would do the trick.
I took mine off my brands and tractor and just put a straight pipe
Thank you for your comment. Watch out for them EPA police, they got eyes everywhere... Lol And yes, if it come right down too it, it would most definitely get your tractor moving again.
As long as you don’t care about warranty 😅
Any engine lights? reduced power?
Why didn’t you take all that shit out of the regen, put it back together as a muffler and plug your def line, then you would never have to do this again.
