    Is there someone who is willing to entertain the idea that DBR and infra low frequency synchrony (or open focus training by Les Fehmi) are the same thing - both ideologies interact with orientating tension. If someone could comment that would be much appreciated. Thanks

    And it seems like the priorities are set in a totally wrong way in the psychology world. If all the mental illnesses are related to attachment trauma why isn't that the central theme? It seems like the focus is scattered on a lot of different symptoms when it should be mainly focused on that.

    Thank you so so much for this. I've lived a large part of my life in terror. I was raised by a very mentally ill mother. I was told she never picked me up or held me. She was also filled with rage and cruelty so I feared her all the way up to her last breath. I don't feel like I'm inhabiting the right side of my body and I've also suffered from severe tremors most of my life. I've been unable to write since early middle school. I now believe that my body just didn't wire properly due to neglect and the constant terror I felt growing up. I'm nearly 60 now. I'm hoping I can feel like a fully integrated human being sometime before I die.

    It is unfortunate to hear that neurofeedback works, while also knowing that it is a treatment only open to the very, very rich. In fact, one might question the legitimacy of "proof of concept" if only rich people are subjects. Here's what I mean: I looked up what it would cost to get just an initial course of treatment in my community. $6000.00. As we know, that is cash out of pocket, as no insurance covers the treatment. Tis a rare American that has 6k cash tucked under their pillow.

    • @freespirit1053
      @freespirit1053 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was just thinking something similar. And of course, it isn't just the cost for neurofeedback--it's also the investment for therapy. I was astonished to hear that Sebern Fisher does 150-350 sessions of NF with her clients. Who on earth has that kind of money?

    • @kevinr7216
      @kevinr7216 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Your numbers are off. Idk which provider you went to, but unfortunately while there are a lot of good-hearted providers who are reasonably priced (like the one I go to), there are *alot* of treacherous providers only in it to bleed you dry of money. My provider is $500 for a brain map, and $85-$100 per session. I do one session a week. So not ultrarich. The reason it even costs that much is because insurance refuses to cover it just yet (they’re in the process of working toward it getting covered), so most of the legit providers have to charge the amount I mentioned just to be in the black financially speaking. So you do have some points, it’s not cheap. Just like talk therapy is not cheap. But whichever provider you got a quote from is a scam artist straight up and down. If a NF treatment facility tries to charge you that much, run as far as you can. They’re probably a coked out chiropractor trying to make a quick buck.

    • @kevinr7216
      @kevinr7216 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      But don’t get me wrong, I wish it was cheaper, I wish insurance covered it. It legit, no joke at all, *cured* my ADHD in 20 sessions it’s wild. But you need to find a *good* provider. Like for a comparison in the Denver area at least, a place like AllNeuro Pathways is one of the good providers that offers the RIGHT protocols, the right treatments, the right care, at a reasonable price. A place like McWhorter (you can look these up) is a straight up scam artist, it’s a chiropractors office that tried to scam me by trying to pedal Z Score training *only* (z score doesn’t really help anything it’s virtually debunked) while charging THOUSANDS of dollars. So just make sure you’re looking into whether these are legit or non-legit providers.
