I had a female tandem skydive instructor a few months ago, she was also my camera flyer the previous day.

My instructor told me "come on" and as we walked to the plane he told me "just walk off the plane, don't hesitate" that was my instruction lol I was expecting more guidance but it worked and I had a heck of a time.

I do get that "drop" feeling when I jump for the first 3 or 4 seconds until I get up to velocity.

Maybe one day I'll do this too. But as a first timer I would not go with an arrogant instructor. I'd absolutely need someone who is focused on making me feel at ease.

I've done three tandem skydives & you describe it very well. I will just say that once you are out of the plane and you achieve terminal velocity it simply feels as if you are floating as the air feels as though it is holding you. Also I reommend that people do not consume milk before flight as milk & flying do not mix!

Me and my wife and her brother and his wife and about 4 other people went as a group to Bora Bora and just got back 2 weeks ago, it cost everyone about 4 to $5000 a piece but the trip is worth every penny. The resort itself is amazing like your in another world, the island and the clear blue water and the cozy romantic bungalows being above the water and the beach is simply gorgeous and makes you want to stay and not return home (seriously it’s that beautiful). We stayed at the Pavilion Bleu Bora Bora Resort (there’s like 3 or 4 resorts around the island), I have to say of all the trips me and wife have been on this one tops them all and It’s really gonna be tough top Bora Bora….lol 😎✌🏾👊🏾

The place is amazing but 660 dollars per night where literally you can't even be on your boxers or take a duo shower with the window opened because the other cabins are literally in front of yours ? Mmmh doesn't sound like a private place ,i would stick to Bali for now 😅

My story is that I am a pilot, almost commercially certified. I know some people who used to be jump pilots, and one of them told me that I should go skydiving if they were to offer me a job. It shows that you are into the sport, and willing to make a contribution above and beyond just flying the plane. After 2 cancellations for weather, I finally went up today, and in one word, it was insane. It was cold at 10,000 AGL (13,000 ASL), and of course very windy. There was the initial drop, and then I managed to convince myself that I could breathe. With definite effort, I overcame the sensory overload and soaked it in. Then the parachute deployed (it was incredibly soft, I barely noticed it until I was vertical), and I did some turns and a spiral. My instructor took control at about 1,000' and we landed softly back at the airport. I still can't believe it, but is was the craziest most fun, and unbelievable experience I have ever had. Whenever you have the chance, do it. Get the photo package as well. Your first jump is something you will want to keep in photo and video forever.

Bora Bora is a beautiful place and can be done quite cheaply and you can enjoy far more than the people staying in the main resorts,my wife and I stayed in Bora Bora Moorea and Tahiti for a month and it was reasonably cheap,a tenth of the water bungalow prices is all we spent on nightly accommodation

Completed my first tandem jump with Toshi and Sarah at Bay Area skydiving in Byron California on July 3rd 2022 went up in a Cessna Grand Caravan taking 10 minutes to go up filled with people they all jumped first and then we jumped for 1 minute or 1 mi before he opened the parachute and we slowly floated down the other mile and a half before as we slightly slammed to the ground. With a flip jumping out of the plane did feel like a roller coaster but when you level out all that wind is hitting you at 120 mph and it is somewhat hard to breathe but you get used to it. I paid an extra $200 for a video and the camera girl was awesome she looked like Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible as she orbited us for a split second I thought I was in a video game when I seen her in front of me and then I felt like I was flying through crystal glass because the day was so clear and everything below was so small. This is probably the most relatable description of sky diving and the sensation, or lack there of that you feel. I love roller coasters, but the hardest part about them is that free fall feeling, when you feel your stomach drop. I have learned to cope with that for the sake of the the rest of the ide being enjoyable. I would love to have the sensation of flying without that stomach drop feeling. Thank you for clarifying that for people like me.
