Green House in my room!!!
Sorry for the long wait but I have been working on building a green house. Since I don't have the ability to set one up in my yard right now why not just stick it in my room...right?

Drilling into a clay pot

Carnivorous Plant Repot
มุมมอง 3787 ปีที่แล้ว
Just a quick repotting of some of the carnivorous plants in my collection.
5 years later let's say the tree did survive lol it looks almost exactly the same lolol should of repotted to a gallon pot to grow out. I'm bout to buy one that looks way better than this actually looks like a dwarf tree. I'll be letting it grow a bit before trying to jam in a bonsai pot. ill decide if wana repot next spring. Thanks for the video though man ..
Great video! How does it look now 4 years later?
A great little Eastern Redbud. I hope it is doing well today!
Roots on African violets grow outward. .best to get a shallow wide pot
Can you save time by mixing first then rinsing with water through the sieve?
Wow thank you for this helpful video I learned so much!👍👍😍😍😍
Nice and quick video about making bonsai soil that anyone can easily buy without spending a lot of money. The best bonsai soil video I've seen, I wish I came across this years ago!
Je to drcená borová kůra?
Love this. I needed to drill my tray for bonsai too
Crowns will re root correct?
Thank you for your useful video
Love that watering pot.. 😍 man I bet you have learned so much since you made these videos... I hope your still at it bro.. or always remember to Fertilize your Plant's when they start shooting new shoots
To all the questions about how the little tree is doing.. I don't know but I would be surprised if it lived very long before he did a couple of things really wrong... one.... you don't remove all the soil when repotting a new plant.. two....you don't Fertilize a bonsai tree after doing a root purning either.. wait at least a month or two.... three they're was no need at all to cut any of the roots as the pot was plenty big enough for the root system. Plants are very and I mean very finnicky when you dig them up or repot them so always with the least amount or truma.. try to keep at least the soil inside the root ball and expect some die back.. always remember to replant a deciduous trees in early spring before buds pop out.. right now would be pushing it as it late April. He did get some things right of course... like teasing out the roots with a fork or chop stick.. being very gentle.. and spreading the roots outs from the center..
I’m a sucker for a clump schefflera video. I see the video is quite old. Hopefully it is developing nicely. Thanks, keep growing
Succulent just means the leaves and stems are fleshy like a sponge. No botanical succulent family. That plant is Ceropegia as other have said and is from the Apocynaceae or dogbane family. Same as Hoyas and many other very interesting groups.
Gymnkcalyciums are great bc their flowers last longer than most cacti.
As a Californian those jades are so tiny and cute. Make friends with one of us and we'll mail you some thick trunked big Boi cuttings of this plant :)
House holds are used to being discreet, children are brought up to keep secrets, your gonna be running blind 90% of the time because you have designed no alternative to your way, when you make fuck ups you'll just keep running that individual straight into the ground because you will point blank refuse to acknowledge it. What a prick!!
It's been three years, how's it progressing?!?!
What soil would you recommend for bonsais? Oh and does adding moss affect how you water it? Finally, is there a specific moss you use? Or could I literally just take some from outside that grows on concrete
Since you haven’t done an update, I assume it’s dead.
I'm getting some fall collection seeds soon but where I am its the last month of school
I wonder if this would extend its lifespan. I know if they aren’t the healthiest they’ll die around 20 years and the general lifespan of a healthy individual tree is 50-90 years
Thats nice lookin soil
Yes me too.. Im growing one from seed. Its growing good.. But dont know where to go from here.. So just going to watch it grow
How did you get it to branch out more? Mine is just one long stick! Thanks!
That's likely due to the soil you have it in or the pot it in or both . The softer and less compact the soil is the less the roots have to work to go through it resulting in a weaker root system and an all around weaker tree . Once your tree is older you can get it to ramify by doing a type of selective pruning . Basically you cut it back to a bud or leaf scar on each branch and the branches will then bush out you cut one branch back to a leaf or leaf scar it will then grow two branches from that point then those branches get bigger and do it to those so then one branch will bush out into four branches off the one main branch . Be careful tho when deciding where to cut bc some species of trees have been known to have entire branches die off using this method
After a tree has seen a few seasons of growth it's generally better to get them into a bonsai mixture soil or a soil you've mixed up for it's species to grow well in . Considering ph and composition the tree does well in
@@MikeHunt-lz2hq great thank you! I will wait until winter then prune it back so it branches. It will have no leaves though, can you prune a single branch back to any length?
@@MikeHunt-lz2hq .my judas is 16inches high with 14 leaves..so very tall and skinny...should i have pruned it back.?
I'd love to see what this looks like now, if possible
thanks so much!! my mom bought a ficus and she didn’t water it or give any nutrients to the plant so i’m trying to save it.
I have one about 5 ft, should I cut it Now???? Tks. John
Are you in prison?
Basement.
Great video thanks for showing
Love how the video gets straight into it, perfect 👌
Would this work with a big ficus?
Hi..do you have a video of how you propagated by stem cuttings? Also.your plant looks very healthy..how did you water it?Thank you
There is another species of zelkova.
Any updates ?
hi bro :D
Mine has a lot of dry branches with no leaves on one side. The other side sill has leaves and recently started growing new ones. What should be done to the dry branches? If I cut them will they grow new ones?
Hi I have this same problem rn. Did you ever figure it out?
Hey! It's time for an update on your Schefflera! ;)
Great video. I’m trying it right now. Do you need to add fertiliser?
Jóni de Sousa you can use fertilizer but honestly I don’t use it anymore for focus because they root so easy. It takes a little longer but still works as long as you make sure the water never drys out
Cutie pa tootie. Is that a Shark watch?! Makes me want to go find one!!!
Where do you get your deeper pots? And what size are they?
Good job
I'm wondering if you are still sifting 1.5 years later?
Adam Bomb yea it takes about that long haha
@@thegreenerthumb3868 Ha I was serious. I wondering if you sift for your bonsai's. Also While you are responding, I'm wondering if you have any Bougainvillea experience? Maybe some soil advice or other tip as I have been really getting into them.
have a total of (8) -- the mother is ~3 years old and 12" across; 4" depth pot 5.5" circumference only once did i cut part of the leaf and sit in water what you are showing here is quicker in terms of achieving multiple plants
Could you please do an update on this tree? I have 4 redbud saplings
Hey would you publish the next step.? I'd like to see how it looks like now.!
Can you update your red bud bonsai? Do you keep it inside? I have some in my yard I would like to start ?
Please update? I’ve grown one from seed and it’s now two years old and want to know what’s next. Thank you.
Congratulations on getting 100 likes on this video I was the 100th if you could go guess what tree I have on my channel that would be great
Can u do UPDATE
How is your redbud bonsai doing? The one i planted from seed has just started sprouting! How old was your redbud in your previous video? :)
