Replace broiler element Miele Oven - how to remove temp sensor
I replaced the broiler element on my Miele H398B2 double oven. The only difficulty was removing the temperature sensor. The key was unplugging the wire plug which then made it possible to pull the element free of the oven and slide out the sensor. You can read about removing the broiler element here: www.manualslib.com/manual/1331752/Miele-Masterchef-H-394-B.html?page=47#manual

How to cut a whole turkey to prepare for roasting.
มุมมอง 88K13 ปีที่แล้ว
Several years ago I started cutting my Thanksgiving turkey into large pieces and roasting those. The bird cooks faster and more evenly. It is easier to roast, because it isn't stuffed. It is easier to slice when it is cooked, because you are working with much smaller pieces. Instead of stuffing the whole bird, I take part of the turkey back and place it on top of my stuffing that I have placed ...

    Based on the level of difficulty, I think I'm going to add my camera near the hitch on my 2004 Navigator. I can run the wires through the left tail light area and avoid dealing with the hatch. Thanks for the video. PS, you can access the reverse power wire in the drivers kick panel. It should be a black/pink wire. 👍

    How was you able to stain the green spots so perfectly without getting on the grout lines.

    • @amcoffee4me
      @amcoffee4me 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At 7:13 you can see that the green tape defines the grout lines. Where I wanted the green squares, I completely covered the newly cleaned concrete with blue painters tape from edge to edge of the green tape. When I finished with the yellow stain, I removed the blue tape, but kept the green tape for the grout lines, protected the yellow spaces from overspray, and put down the green color stain.

      I got it from an equipment rental store. A place like Cresco or United Rentals or any local business that rents things like tile saws, or post hole diggers, and the like should rent a concrete grinder..

    So, I was talking to my dad who's a contractor. You should really be wearing the right PPE, because you don't want to get acid on your clothes. You definitely need an n95 so you don't cause lung damage, at the least.

    • @amcoffee4me
      @amcoffee4me 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your concern! I was using a latex based, not acid stain, so no need to protect from acid. I was wearing a p100 respirator when I was grinding the concrete to protect from dust, and also ear and eye protection. You can see that at :43. I agree that proper PPE is vital and you and your Dad are smart to think that too.

    This is a fantastic video. Although you really didn't need to do all that wiring or trim removal . You should of used a wireless camera with a transceiver. Also the wire that tells your radio your car is in reverse, you should of hooked that wire up to your reverse shift, there is a 12+ volt wire around near the shiftier in a car.. Doing it this way would helped you avoid all the trim removal and long wiring job within the car. Except for the trunk trim, you had no choice to take that off.

    Wow she went through a lot of work running the wires through it. I got mine going from the dashboard up the pillar along the windshield trim and running straight on back through in my headliner for my roof. Took less than a minute. To bad wiring it isn't as easy. My reverse light positives are always hot. My van grounds the ground wire when in reverse but it is always hot when not grounded by the computer.. You read that right a ground wire that is hot+ when not in reverse, when running or not.

    • @Acelachaser1965
      @Acelachaser1965 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shawn, the '03 and up Expedition/Navigator have side curtain air bags in the trim above the doors. That is why the wiring is under the floor trim. You definitely don't want to put anything in the way of air bags.

    • @amcoffee4me
      @amcoffee4me 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a very inexpensive garden sprayer from Harbor Freight. The concrete stain I used was very thin. I don't think a garden sprayer would work for paint. Wagner sells a somewhat inexpensive paint sprayer. Maybe you could find a used one for a good price? Good luck on your project.

    What secures the camera to the plastic piece on the truck? I just looked up the camera and it looks like there's only a threaded rod coming off the back of it.

    • @amcoffee4me
      @amcoffee4me 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks like they have changed the design on the camera from when I did mine. Mine came with a hole saw and the camera was essentially friction fit into the opening that you drilled with the included hole saw. Now it looks like the camera comes with a threaded rod and nut. You drill a hole to match the diameter of the threaded rod, put the rod through the hole, and on the inside, secure with the nut included with the camera. Probably saves the cost of the hole saw.

    • @tommymack8916
      @tommymack8916 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Was the video wire with the yellow connector supplied with the camera and was it long enough to reach the back of the radio? Was there a plug end that connected it to the radio or did you have to splice into a wire from the radio?

    • @amcoffee4me
      @amcoffee4me 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you go to about 10 minutes on the video you can see and hear more about the video wiring. Yes the camera comes with about 19' of wire to connect the composite video signal coming from the camera to whatever your display is. That was not long enough for me to connect from the back of the Expedition to the front dash. I bought an extension video cable, one end male, one end female. That was probably a 6' cable. The back of my radio/head unit had an RCA type input for the backup camera and I just plugged the male end of the composite video cable into that - no splicing required.

    If you don't have a sprayer, can you just roll it on?

    • @amcoffee4me
      @amcoffee4me 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably. I've read that you can use a brush. I think the usual recommendation is to use a sprayer to allow for an even coating that you can lay down quickly. I used a $12 sprayer I bought at Harbor Freight which was pretty much single use for this project. I like to prototype so I experimented with colors and techniques on some concrete in my side yard before committing to the concrete at my front door. Perhaps you have a space where you can do the same.
