What do you mean 6.2L is non AFM> the 6.2 engines are AFM/DOD engines. Also I was reading the DOD AFM engines run a standard high volume oil pump due to the dod.

When squaring your rings in the bore, you can put a ring in the very bottom ringland which is where your oil control rings go and use that piston ring as a stop and then just use it to push your ring that you're measuring down in the bore til your ring on the piston hits the top deck of the block and you're squared in the bore everytime.
