There are plenty of fish in big bend but because the desplaines river access point, cook county doesnt stock it like the other Cook County Forrest Preserves.
@@FourthCoastOutdoors that’s interesting, it doesn’t seem like the river flows into it though, it seems like it flows downward into the river, or is there another access point?
@@JaySunfish That's the one. Think about it more so that a lot of stocked fish could potentially wash away into the river during high waters. It happens the other way around but only when DPR is very flooded (which happens quite a bit because its a small shallow river). It's one of the few cook county lakes that doesn't get stocked.

I finally picked ok e some of those lures. Used it today for the first at Belleau lake. Nice action at first, then just twisted around the line above the swivel. Either way, nice catch 🪝
