      I would’ve said Polaris back when I made the video, but the can am has proven to be more reliable and refined. So I would go Can Am

    • @ognjenarsic4432
      @ognjenarsic4432 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is cf 1000 also in option would you still get can am, in my country cf 1000, canam 570 and polaris 570 are about the same price

    • @tylerdevisser6705
      @tylerdevisser6705 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ognjenarsic4432 I don’t know too much about the Cforce quads, but i know they’ve come a long way as far as quality recently. 79hp for the same price as 48hp I’d highly consider. Not sure where you’re at but the cf1000 where I’m at in the US costs more than an outlander 650 dps. ($12,399 v $9,999 for the 650 with dps) So for us it makes sense to still go with a can am.

    Hi Tyler, thanks for a very useful 'real world' review. The bolts you mention on the snowblower - are they what would be called 'shear bolts'? And, how easy is the snowblower to attach to the tractor? Thanks

    • @tylerdevisser6705
      @tylerdevisser6705 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they are shear bolts. We use stainless steel bolts now and have had very few shear off so far. I understand that the JD shear bolts are made that way to take stress of the whole rest of the blowing mechanism in wet/deep snow, but these stainless ones have worked just fine. It is a relatively simple process to attach the snowblower or mowing deck back on. Do try to do it with two people that way there's one person on each side. Takes us about 20 minutes to swap/clean and neither me nor my dad are great mechanics.

    i have had both, a couple sportsman 570s and currently a outlander 570. i never rode them back to back, but from memory the can am actually seems to have more low end, but flattens out in the upper revs sooner. i guess everybody feels something different or they changed something after 2018, which i doubt.

    Nice to see review on a mower that’s actually been used instead of a review based on a couple hours. How is your deck belt holding up? I’ve heard the single belt breaks whereas the 48” dual belts last longer. Great post!

    • @tylerdevisser6705
      @tylerdevisser6705 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! We personally haven't had any issues with the belt breaking on us, although it does wear quicker than you would normally expect. I've seen online that this is a common problem with these machines. If belt life is your main concern, go for the dual belt.

    • @tylerdevisser6705
      @tylerdevisser6705 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not anything major, just a few annoyances, the biggest one being the belt slips on the Polaris when going through mud/water. The Polaris also doesn't like to start anymore until like the 5th time you try. No problems on the Can-Am either, except again just some annoyances like the loud noise coming from the rear of the vehicle [something to do with how the air passes through I guess], and with both of them their is some clunking with the suspension and sometimes whenever you press the throttle after letting off of it.
