Shield-bro's and other enemies immune to physical damage are usually these rare opponents worth using magic on :) Another way to deal with them is to press "block" when in Punisher mode, that makes YOU immune to physical attacks. But you figured it out anyway, on your own. Congrats!

Awesome! :) thanks for hitting a pause on Rebirth to enjoy this masterpiece! A little technical advise that will help you a ton. When spending your shiny "atb" bars in combat, rather than using "spells" or "items", try to use "abilities" a lot more. They are by far the best option most of the times. Spells use up your mana and items are also finite. Cloud is also a physical fighter, he doesn't have much magic attack power in his stats. In other words, Cloud's spells suck ass for now and are very situational. Abilities will do the most damage and are free to use. Their only downside is you need to be close, but with Cloyd you'll be anyway while slashing at your targets. While you only have two abilities it's not hard to get a grasp either. Braver is for massive damage, and focus thrust is for staggering (filling the orange bar) And that's it. Easy, strong, reliable. Try it out.

Nice to see your perspective on Rebirth as someone with zero context. I would still recommend giving Remake a go if you like what you have experienced with Rebirth so far. At the very least watch the 'Story so far' summary from the main menu in Rebirth, It will summarise part 1 to get you somewhat up to speed with what is happening in the story.

Hi! (NO SPOILERS IN MY COMMENT) This game "FF7 Rebirth" is a direct sequel, or part 2, of the game " FF7 Remake", thatis also available for PS5. This game won't hold your hand when it comes to story telling, it will assume you have played the first game. Though you probably will catch up to most of the events that are going on and characters, there will be parts that will make absolutely no sense without playing the first part of the game. If you can, I'd advise to postpone playing this game further and playing the first part. FF7 Remake is an excellent game that properly introduces you to the world and characters. It's not a very long game either (30-50 hours), compared to this game that you can play for 150-200 hours, easily. If you play this game first, you'll probably still enjoy it, but the game will be on a whole other level if you'll play part 1 first. It really is worth it. Good luck in any case!
