how to enable telnet setting?
That was very painful to watch. Dude just set the hostname and IP address, rebooted, added a user... and IT TOOK 12 MINUTES!!!!
Nice video Matthew!😀
Nice job Matthew
Hi , what is the command to enable igmp snooping and global mukticast mode
Holy! That's pristine audio quality!
May I ask if the host can track its audience if they are connected through a mobile phone or laptop??
Yes you can. People who join via phone number will still show up on the attendance report. You can find the attendance report by going to user.webex.com > Meetings > Completed > Click on the meeting > Attendance > Export the Attendance report. Please note, the people who call in will need to provide their attendee ID if you want them to tie their user information to the called from number, otherwise you will only get the number they dialed in from.
does anyone know of an easy online emulator for this
Hello, I have an AP9115AXI-B without WLC featrue, my problem is that "configure terminal" command is not present and I need to configure SNMP. Do you know wich command can help me? Thanks
If it is without the WLC feature you should not be able to use the AP at all hence it is a lightweight AP requiring a WLC
Thanke mate, best video ever. Just that the name - Catalyst or Catlyst BTC was used so many times that it caused confusions yet the best video on WLC on YT
Excellent tutorial on WLC 9800. Eagerly waiting for more of your videos. Keep it up
What is the default credential for rhe virtual appliance?
Any idea on how much coverage these offer? We have a large meeting space and are questioning if we need more than 3 and the AV integrator license.
I have used one to cover 14ft without issue. True Coverage will depend on other noise in the room and installation configuration. As noise increases, your gain should be lowered to block out other sounds.
Thank you so much I was banging my head with this. 4 years later
How many mic pros can the EQ take and how do you pair this mic?
The Room Kit EQ codec can technically work with 3 Table Mic Pros by default or up to 8 if you buy the AV integrator license for the codec. The back of the unit has one network connection to run to your general network and 4 additional ports for connecting the peripherals. So, the number of mics you can directly connect may be limited based on other devices connected. That said, you can also connect a small POE switch to the unit in order to add more ports. As far as pairing goes, the mics pair automatically when connected directly to the codec as they are hardwired.
@@IngramMicroBTCCisco Thanks very much for the reply. Ok so you are saying that switch is connected directly to the codec and the mics connected to the switch. Is it possible to connect to the corporate network (PoE) and set them on the same broadcast domain as the codec?
Correct, it is recommended to connect the switch to the codec's local ports. Connecting through the LAN can result in audio lag due to other data traffic on the network.
@@IngramMicroBTCCisco Great news, I will test on the LAN as it will greatly reduce the cabling needs for an existing room. How about pairing the mics to the codec, presumably not too difficult?
From my understanding, you would need to connect directly to the unit. If connecting elsewhere, the codec may not find the mic pro. Cisco recommends using a switch from the CBS250, CBS350, or C1200 series. The Cisco device recognizes these switches and assigns an IP address to them. Read how to configure these switches in the Configuration of Cisco CBS250, CBS350, and C1200 switches for use with Cisco video collaboration devices technical paper. help.webex.com/en-us/article/zks7jeb/AES67-interoperability-on-Room-Devices Note: this article assums you have the AV integrator license on the codec
Does this trick also work for the Catalyst mobile app stuck trying to deploy the controller, but the web browser GUI is already fully working? Or is there something else that must be set for the mobile app to look for in order to decide this is not a provisional SSID?
Thanks for this Overview!! Quick question, if the meeting is hosted by the device, will we get the lobby function and the capability to admit or reject people in the meeting the same way as we can do it with a regular MS Team user? Thanks!!
How come there is no Call button? Is there any license or configuration needed on the resource account?
There is the meet now button which lets you dial out to a meeting. There is also the Join button if the hybrid calendar has been enabled and the device has been invited. If you are missing the ability to dial out at all then you are most likely missing the MTR license from Microsoft or have misconfigured the setup of the device on the Microsoft side.
Hi, I configured a Cisco 9120AXI but I cannot enter the web page because it says that credentials are wrong. I created a user exactly like you did. But still credentials are wrong. Is this because I activated password encryption? I also made another user before that using "username xxx privilege 15 password xxx secret xxx" Did you ever encountered this kind of problem?
Cisco Codec Pro to Quad Camera other brand HDMI cable support or not?
Yes, you can use other branded cables. However you must make certain they support the resolution of the Quadcam at the length of the cable. I often talk to people who get the incorrect cable version for the length they needed to support. It is recommended you use an HDMI cable that supports 4k @ 60fps.
let pretend one has zero CLI experience, we need a guide step by step how to get this all working.
In the wireless policy section. Are we able to prioritize specific SSID traffic in the QoS and AVC Tab? Is there a way to do this?
How I can shift between MTR & Room OS by Factory reset only? Or I should have like specific type of licenses before installation?
You need to factory reset the board to switch between MTR and the Room OS. It is one of the first things you need to decide when setting up the board. MTR requires a Microsoft Teams Room License from Microsoft and optionally you can cloud register the board to Cisco as well for more advanced features. If you go with the Room OS you just need to register the board to Cisco with the optional license integration to Microsoft.
Great Work 👍
Thanks ✌️
I change to DHCP client but it not detected that switch. Anyone know what problem?
Nice overview. However you can wirelessly share to the MTR Board. It’s called Teams Casting from Windows/Mac/iOS/Android clients.
Thanks for the heads up. I just tested that feature with the Webex Board Pro running MTR and it didn't work. I get the following message, "Didn't find any Teams Rooms nearby that we can cast to." I know officially Cisco is working on wireless casting to the MTR Board Pro, but as far as I know its not GA yet. Hopefully this will be out soon.
thanks a lot for a wounderfull video. It explains a lot
Glad it was helpful!
Perfect
Hi Dan, is it possible to reach you on email or mobile phone? I got a problem after rebooting access point
As a distributer, we do not currently support end users directly. If your Cisco reseller purchases from Ingram Micro USA they can definitely set up a meeting between the BTC engineers and you.
Can I do this using SSH? I am able to login using Cisco/Cisco login => enable => Cisco, but when I type "setup" it does not recognize the command. I have C9105...
Good question, the 9105 is the only AP we don't have. We would recommend reaching out to Cisco or your reseller for support.
what if you are deploying this outside the US ? should you still use US as the country ?
No, you should select the country in which it is being deployed.
hello I ask do you have the cisco c9800 capwap software?, I want to restore the firmware from WLC to capwap... Thank You..
please go to software.cisco.com to download firmware for Cisco devices.
Hi, thank you for the video! That's really helpful. I have a quick question. If I'm an invited guest of the meeting, does that mean I can only dial in and find my attendee ID to connect to the meeting after the host comes in? If the host hasn't joined the meeting, does that mean I cannot find my attendee id? Thank you so much!
Your attendee ID audio code information will not be able to be found until the Audio portion of the meeting has connected. This can be restricted by the host / the admin on a host's account to only turn on after a host has arrived. So in short, it will depend on the Host's account and how it is set up.
Very helpful , thank you
Glad it was helpful!
How many webinars can we make in once account? and for the breakout rooms, can we unmute the participants at once or one by one?
You can have a bunch of different webinars scheduled under one account, but a single host account can only host one at a time. help.webex.com/en-us/article/WBX54546/Error:-'Meeting-Limit-Exceeded.-You-cannot-have-more-than-1-meeting-running-atthe-same-time.'
And, yes as the host you can unmute/mute the participants individually or all at once when in a breakout session.
the native vlan can be done from web gui as well
You are correct that this can also be done from the GUI once it is accessible. (Configuration->Interface->Ethernet page) This video was recorded with version 16.12 release and at that time to gain access to the GUI for the first time this step was found to be necessary.
Amazing Video. However I still wonder, then which IP did clients get? Is it possible to configure the DHCP scope in the WLC?
www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/config-guide/b_wl_16_10_cg/dhcp-for-wlans.html
MAN!!!!! I have been fooling around with this damn thing for months, and was ready to send them back! It had became an expensive paper weight on my desk! Thanks, and much appreciated!!!
Paper weights are great, but glad we could help get it back to being what it was meant to be!
amazing
Thanks
Top
Big change from previous wireless controller. This is hands down the best video. I could not wrap my head around how this is suppose to work. Thanks for putting this together. With the awful cisco support they currently supply, you would think they would hire you to create some videos for them!
Thank you for this great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Quick question… if I have an interview through Webex, and I’m using my iPhone… do I place my phone on “Do not disturb” so that way no incoming phone calls disrupt the meeting?
The meeting app is separate from the calling on your phone. So yes you would want to put yourself in do not disturb so your phone does not receive a call through your cellular provider.
Thanks, this is really helpful
Glad to hear that!
Hallo,I need hepl. Need firmware for 9800L-C,cant download from the cisco web site,do you have installation file?
Check out this link for software downloads for the 9800-L-C: software.cisco.com/download/home/286323158/type
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Hard sell. Can just use ipad on stand
It really depends what the user needs. Yes, you could use an iPad on a stand with Webex installed if all you are looking for is low cost connectivity into the Webex meeting. However, this device gives you the ability to use it as a secondary screen, more simple interface for whiteboarding, much better camera, audio pickup and speakers then an iPad has built in, the ability to use it in a kiosk mode or a shared hotdesking situation, and more.
how to hide (not disable) ssid in embedded wlc 9100 series..? thank you
You would want to disable the "broadcast SSID" setting under WLANs. www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/config-guide/b_wl_16_10_cg/wlans.html
how to filtering client with mac address..?
When people where not asked if they want to unmute when the host unmutes them there where SO many reports of teachers unmuting children and hearing private stuff.
Webex Moderated Unmute was made to help with the issue that not all students or meeting attendees have the knowledge or ability to unmute themselves. I agree, anytime you take control away from one person and give it to another you will run into issues where that person did not want to give away control. This feature does need to be enabled by the Host of the meeting and all participants are made aware of the moderated unmute meeting type before they could potentially be unmuted. I would highly suggest anyone using this feature have a discussion around it before using it so people are fully aware of the potential to be unmuted.
Please note, to use Webex virtual background you will need to download the Webex program and install the virtual background pack (this will happen the first time you go to use the feature). Virtual background is not supported if connecting through the browser based version. If you can only connect via the browser based version and still are interested in virtual background you could look into a virtual camera setup like Snap Camera. However please note, virtual camera software like Snap Camera will still need to be downloaded and installed on the PC. So you might as well just install the Webex application for simplicity of use unless you are jumping around conferencing applications frequently.
