I am eating turkey jerky because I can’t eat red meat, so I hopped on TH-cam to see if someone else had a better less expensive way I can make my own and your video was exactly what I needed. My biggest question for you is, does the jerky come out as chewy as store bought jerky?
Great video, new sub here, I hunt Mid-Michigan myself. Looking forward to this season
where does the tip of the jaws reach on your hand
What county you in? I’m in Grand Traverse, loving the APRs.
Sound advice, good video. If you know, what is the difference in size between the Xtra Large and the Large Stinger XT? Thanks
I would also like to know the size difference.
just purchased one cant wait to get it, im going from a velcro strap release that came in the kit. thanks for the video i also like all the features you mentioned.
Nice video and great shirt!
Thanks mate. Would like to have seen how it was adjustable, but regardless, you sold me on it :)
Good vid, solid advice. I just invested in a Stinger XT, every thing you said was spot on. Cheers mate
that was a awesome michigan buck!! thanks for taking us along
Thank you! Hopefully will have some great footage to share this season with you guys as well!
<3 cedar swamps
Agreed! No shortage of them where I hunt in northern Michigan! Thanks for watching!
Pawn shop near me has one of these for sale for $350. Should I buy it?
Absolutely! It was worth the money for me at full price so I would definitely recommend it!
@@jameswooster7166 I the bow at the pawn shop is in very good condition and comes with accessories. But I've read online where people were having issues with the risers warp. Have you had any issues?
I haven’t had any issues with mine at all. Only thing I have replaced is the arrow rest because the whiskers wore down on it which is very common with that arrow rest and has nothing to do with the bow itself. Aside from that I’ve had zero issues with mine and it’s almost 6 years old now! I know others experience can be different and I’m sure some of it depends on how well you take care of it but if it looks in good shape I think it could be a good purchase. I paid somewhere between $800-$850 for mine new so you’d be looking at less then half the price for what I think is a great bow!
you have no idea how good that bow would shoot like a tack driver with a front stabilizer at least 18 to 30 inches long with 1 to 5 oz weight ,and a side bar stabilizer with 3 to 10 oz weight in the back , omg ! i shoot a mathews Z7 set up and am blowing all the guys with new bows away ! ,i am fixxing to get this bowtech CARBON icon with all types of goodies for just under 400 clams ,what a deal ! good review bro !
I’ve considered upgrading the stabilizer at some point in time! It shoots great as it is but I’m sure a better stabilizer could make it even better! That’s a sweet deal though! That’ll be a fun set up to have. Thanks for watching!
@@jameswooster7166 my mathews z7 went from a great bow to an awesome bow once i put on the stabilizers ! . i shoot a target with 9 to 15,,,,, 2 inch circles with a 1 inch circle in middle with a 1.2 inch red dot , this is great from 10 to 30 yards .if i somehow miss a circle i just shoot another arrow in it without fear of accidental robin hood ,its just that accurate .so this way im able to shoot 10 to 15 arrows at a time before i have to walk to target to pull them out .

Consider single bevel fixed broadheads. You'll get more pass throughs.
I’ll have to look into those! I used fixed blade up until the 2020 season when I tried expandables and have had mixed results with them-3 pass through and 2 great didn’t. Video will be upcoming talking about them!
@@jameswooster7166 I shot right through a big bucks humerus with a big single bevel ( 375 grain total head weight) in early November. As an added bonus, I got the remains of a free mechanical that was healed into the deer.
No kidding? That’s impressive. You definitely have more wiggle room with those if you catch more bone on a deer compared to the expandables
@@jameswooster7166 I posted the video where I cut the other head out of the deer.
Nice video. Congratulations!
Thanks! Thanks for watching!
WOW! Nice big Buck 👍
Thanks! I feel very blessed to have gotten it! Thanks for watching!

Hey great video I am 12 years old and I saved up my money and bought a bowtech carbon icon I shoot 2 inch groups out to 45 yards I have a truglow archers choice sight and a qad drop away rest I had a Hoyt ruckus but the bowtech is so much better
I think you’ll continue to find it is a great purchase, that will treat you well! Sounds like a rock solid set up on it too. Thanks for watching!
Nice video! I upgraded the cable slide to a PSE rollerglide cable slide cuz the stock one chewed out my cables a bit but otherwise my carbon icon has treated me well for the past two years.
Sweet man! Should treat you well for many more years I’d expect based on my experience! Thanks for watching!

Need to try out a deer burger I heard they were pretty good
I personally love venison. I have found/made some good recipes for it that I really enjoy. Not everyone loves it because it sometimes can be slightly gamey tasting but it’s definitely worth trying in my opinion!
@@jameswooster7166 I will have to try it. Deer meat is pretty good.
@Ken Davis. Venison is so lean it is hard to make a burger stick together. I've mixed it 50/50 with ground beef, and I've heard of guys mixing in bread crumbs. This year I added 15% beef fat by weight. Most guys at the processor I work for do pork fat, but I don't eat pork. I haven't had burgers yet, but it's made awesome tacos and spaghetti.
Yeah, they definitely can take more work to get them to stay together without adding stuff but if you’re able to I think it’s worth it! I’ve found making sure it’s well done versus medium well is a great way to eliminate some gaminess too!
Where can I get that shirt?!
You can find it on my wife and my website called realandredeemedco.com! Thank you for watching!
We currently have a 15% off sale as well if you use coupon code: BLACKFRIDAY at checkout!
I had a Carbon Icon and a Carbon Overdrive. I sold the Icon because I shot the Overdrive better, but They are both super solid. I always put a Bee Stinger 8 or 10 inch stabilizer up front. I've bought newer bows, but wind up sticking with the Overdrive. If I ever buy brand new again I will probably get the Icon again.
I’ve never tried out the Carbon Overdrive but could see it being a solid bow as well. Sometimes ole reliable just can’t be replaced by the newer ones! Haha! Thanks for watching!
Before my boy turned 16, Nebraska required me to be within earshot in order for him to hunt. It was a lot of fun watching his near misses.
Hunting father and son like that leaves memories and stories that will last a lifetime! Hunting with my dad has for us both made our favorite memories together and still to this day a lot of laughs at some of the funny things that can happen in the woods! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing brother. Looking so this helps! Keep loving Jesus!
Absolutely! I’m excited to start mixing in some faith content again very soon! Thanks for watching!

You’re hot
Still have my carbon knight & it's still the best bow I've shot.Always thought it was odd they renamed exactly the same bow to Icon but that's what sells I quess.
I didn’t realize that it was previously called it the carbon kinging before carbon icon! Wonder why they would decide to do that? Regardless still a rock solid bow for sure! Thanks for watching!
No creativity
Wait you’re hot
As are you beautiful
Hey James, great video! I am totally a fan of the carbon icon. Currently own two of these, one in camo and one in the carbon fiber pattern. These bows are compact and super smooth! I dont see many people shooting them but boy are they missing out! Good luck this deer season, thanks for posting!
Thank you! That’s awesome. I haven’t met anyone else who uses them but I definitely agree people are missing out by not! Have a good and safe hunting season as well if you’re getting out there! Thanks for watching!
Have had mine for 4 years now and I don’t see me getting a new one anytime soon . Super light and compact
Same! I got mine in 2016 and see no need to change it anytime soon!

But how come you don't have any advertising in your channel? , You need to get paid something for the great content you provide, - sorry I'm the only viewer.
Because TH-cam businesses says he don't have enough viewers and subscribers. It's not simple as people think it is if it was yeah. I'll be famous because I showed people how to install a toilet seat lol
I appreciate that! I definitely do the best I can to get the best content possible on here! But yeah, as Chris Perkins said it goes based off of watch time and reaching 1,000 subscribers before you are able to monetize which is where the ads come from. Thank you both for commenting though and for coming to my channel!
@@jameswooster7166 you are very welcome. The best way I can figure out is if people will tell their friends about your channel it will help it grow more. Like a radio station you start up your own radio station you get people telling people to listen eventually you will have some listeners. TH-cam without people telling their friends family about your channel it's kind of like being a sitting duck in a way. I will tell my co-workers to check out your channel. Because the only thing TH-cam seems like it's more focused on huge numbers than quality truthful content coming forth from the video. I used to hear some TH-camrs talk about how people were on Facebook about numbers of friends followers TH-cam it's kind of the same parody if you think about it. My thing is brother If a person's self-worth and value validation is based on. Likes comments shares subscribers high numbers online we have a problem. Just like the old radio DJs used to say tell your friends families to tune in to our station. At least you'll get more results that way when people in person spread your channel around.
Cool! , I look forward to more videos.
Thanks man!
