Still waiting on an aluminum exhaust hanger and bracket to align the system. The one you see here is fabbed out with oem and stuff I had in my garage. I will wait on it before I mod out to make it fit well. I chose the KTM 390 Duke Chamber delete because this was the only one available and I knew it would fit at the stock cat/header pipe because it shares the same part number with the RC 390. I...

Good overall sound vs stock. The baffle is secured by a small allen bolt but is tack welded in. I had this on another yosh pipe I bought back in the day and had to drill it out.

Disappointing because you still need fairings, exhaust, suspension, decent rearsets. I thought they were actually track ready
Congratulations, brilliant bike.
Thanks! Still loving it.
Bro can you make a video without dp killer ??
Unfortunately, I this moto has sold 😥
Im looking at one this Saturday. This video is old. How's the bike still happy with it? Any issues?
Hi! Yes, this vid is old, and I really need to make an update. The bike has been a dream for me and I still feel the same way about it. There are a few commenters that have asked about issues they were having and asked if I had the same. Some included fasteners not torqued to spec, oil leaks, and swingarm misalignment which I have had NONE of these. The other is the heat. The bike does get hot quickly and if you're not moving or even camped out in traffic or at a long light it stays hot. But not enough for me to call it an issue. For me, this is just a characteristic of the beast V4 in this bike and needs to be moving...quickly lol. I also have a Pani V4 2023 and it is waaay hotter. To the point you are uncomfortable because of the heat. So, I hope this helps. I'm excited for you because I love looking at bikes that I intend to purchase. Good luck.
@tebuchenself2882 Nice okay. I have a 25 ZX10R I was contemplating on trading up for the RSV4.
@@chriscook7219 Yeah, I think once you get into the realm of great liter bikes its all about preference. I'm sure I can find things I like about the ZX10R better than the RSV4. But what an awesome position to be in!
@tebuchenself2882 Very True! The ZX10R is a great bike no question my only complaint is how restricted it is from factory which can be solved by an ecu flash. It's just tricky because I live in California.
@@chriscook7219 Understood. As you probably already know, Texas with super loose emissions rules. I can pretty much stick on some lights, horn, license plate, turn signals, and at least on mirror to a moto GP bike and it will pass inspection!
Do you still have it ? What is the red key do ? Thank you
Hello! Yes, I still have the R6 and need to get it ready for COTA 12/1. I just been slacking on the content. The red key is the re-registering key. The other keys have a transponder in them to marry with the immobilizer unit in the bike in case it gets stolen. If you lose a key, you take the red key to the dealership to get a new key with a transponder in it.
@tebuchenself2882 thanks for the follow up, I did notice the cylinder looks different on this bike compared to others , so it has the immobilizer like the European models ?
@@jieevo This is what the owner's manual says. I have not had a situation where my bike was stolen or needed key replacement, so I do not have any experience with this.
@@tebuchenself2882 😂 thank you , thank you 🙏
Great video! Ive got one as well. Does yours drive straight, or does it want to pull to the right on its own? A buddy and I have both brand new models that want to strongly veer right on their own, and it's really the only thing I haven't been able to fix pulling it all apart.
Hey thanks! No, I have not had this issue. Mine is straight as an arrow.
@tebuchenself2882 man, jealous. Wish we knew what the problem is. It seems like the back end is the problem, since the bike actually pulls to the right even when you're doing a wheelie. Its strange. Somwthing must be different between say your bike and mine, and we can't figure out what it is. Think I'm going to pull my swingarm off this winter to at least have a look. Thanks for replying! Enjoy the machine!
@@michaelsaalwaechter9889 Man, that's crazy. And I have not heard of that problem yet but sounds like a lot of work...dangerous even. Any chance aprilia can get involved?
@tebuchenself2882 funny you ask, the dealers and even when I contacted corporate acknowledged the issue and said they can't fix it. Bummer. So i take to my own devices and try to measure stuff out. The front i confirmed with a lot of measuring is centered and good. The back i need to find more ways to measure it precisely. Maybe a spacer in the swingarm pivot is missing or something to that effect.
@@michaelsaalwaechter9889 Bummer indeed. Good luck with your project and I hope it goes well!

I definitely don't consider my self lucky buying this bike. 23 model too. It consumes oil like a two stroke engine. 3000 miles on the clock
Man, sorry to hear that. Mine seems to be holding its oil. Do you think this is normal? Have you had it looked at under warranty?
@@tebuchenself2882 Aprilia says it is normal since it is actually running in until 3000 miles. If you get an oil consuming machine you are actually screwed because they have many tools to evade warranty claim
Agreed, aprilia has resources to fight not to honor a claim. I’ve heard others speak to disappointments with Aprilia customer service after purchase. Hopefully my bike is as good one. I established a good relationship with AF1 Racing in Austin where I got the bike and feel they would help me if I run into issues.
@@tebuchenself2882 So if you don't live in the US and have the support from AF1, don't buy aprilia
Hey man one question. Can u put a second seat in or its not possible ? Keep up the good work
You can absolutely put in a 2nd seat, however, might not be the best platform for joyriding with a passenger.
How’s is the comfort and compared to your other previous bikes? Could you ride it for a day etc?
The comfort is fair for a sport bike. The seat is wide enough to move around and the ergos are good for my frame. A day of riding could be done with plenty of breaks. I could easily do a weekend at the track where our sessions are typically 20mins long with an hour or so in between.
I own a v4 but must admit I prefer looks of 1299
Agreed! And with the 2025 out it seems like Ducati sexiness (although still very sexy) is going backwards. But I'll wait for my final thoughts when I see the 2025 in person.
just take it out man lmao whos going to catch you
Tru dat!!! 😆
My goal is to start a bike channel and buy one of these and make it street legal for a video series
I think that's a great idea! This is a very popular motorcycle and based off of the number of questions out there about making this bike street legal will provide wanted content. Let me know how it goes!
Does yours have 17 digit vin cause i would want to register mine
Yes it does. I also have the title and a couple of things that are different than my other titles are in the odometer area states, "EXEMPT" and under remarks, "OFF-HIGHWAY USE ONLY".
The tail section are known as rocket fins. Congratulations.
Thanks! Definitely a fitting name.
And also do you have to do anything else other than just buy lights and plug into the existing harness?
If you're talking street legal; Lights, turn signals, horn, license plate bracket with light, and at least one mirror. That is what it would need to pass inspection at my local shop that I have a really good relationship with. Then its the whole DMV circus to get it registered. I opted to keep it track only for now.
@@tebuchenself2882 thanks for the info bro you're the only person I can really find has done a in detail review
Im thinking about getting one and was wondering if it has a catalytic converter?
Yep, full stock exhaust. I think the GYTR version of this bike has some exhaust upgrades. I recently got my ecu flashed from Moore Mafia, have a full akra exhaust, and sprint p08 filter. Just been so busy with work I haven't had a chance to post an updated vid. Hopefully, I'll have time in the next couple of weeks plus with the weather getting better here in Texas.
Cannot wait to get on track with my RC390! Great vid!
@@ORNG_KRUSH thanks! You’re in for a real treat.
Hi, I have pretty much the same setup. If you don't mind can you share the ejk setting in case you use a diferent one than the one on ejk website?. The fuel compsumtion increse quite a bit. I decrese it setting to 2-2-2-1-3-3 as a compromise. Thanks for your nice video 👍🏻
Hello! I used the default settings on the EJK because I thought it would be a good starting point for my mods and make adjustments as needed. For me, the default settings made noticeable improvements and feel I do not need to adjust them. I think the default is for an exhaust and air filter. I may make a bold decision to take this on the Colorado BDR July '25 and feel very good that I may have to make changes due to altitude. What do you think?
@@tebuchenself2882 thanks for the replay. Well since I fit the Acerbis gas tank of 13,5 liters gas compsumtion is not a critical issue. The ejk do a bypass of the ecu signal trought the injector sothe lambda sensor still working making changes acording presure, temperatura and emissions. With the ejk just maintain the + fuel step the controler sent to the injector. I guest the bike work ok even in high altitude. Enjoy the ride 👍🏻👍🏻
did you have clearance issues with stock rearset ?
Hello! My heel on the exhaust side felt like it hung up a couple of times but ground clearance was good. However, I think most bikes will benefit from aftermarket rearsets to get them dialed in to your specs and riding style.
It must resonate in a perfect 5th 😅
Hmm...again, I do not know the music. I once took my son to a musical orchestral concert when I attended a junior college. They played Beethoven's 7th symphony 2mvt. with tubas no less and it was Amaizing, I was so enchanted and so was he. This might have contained the perfect 5th but I know not. God Speed.
Yo can you do more videos of this bike
I have one too 2022 model, i ride old gen rc too love them always. I am from india we have crazy hype for ktm here, fun fact that our indian brand bajaj bought ktm half shares so ktm bikes are made here in india too, we here preety cheap prices on ktm.
Hi Samrat, hello from Texas! I have done a lot of research with videos from India on the KTM before I purchased it. It seems like it is very popular there and I love the celebration at the dealerships when one is purchased. Ride Safe!
@@tebuchenself2882 yeah dude 🤜🏼🤛🏼
This or Panagale v4? I’m picking either one up later this year. Prefer the SF in grey/ Nero but the Pani in red. Find riding position comfortable on both but I’m sure the Pani would cause pain after a few hours. The heat is something else too which the SF seems to manage better. I wear full motorbike gear and can still feel the pani heat :/
I own a 23 V4 pani as well and agree with everything you’ve said. The pani V4 is noticeably hotter immediately and gets a little achy in the knees for me with long distances. The SF is much cooler and more comfortable. The only time I wish I was on the V4 instead of the SF is when it’s really windy or you’re running at high speeds you’re kinda out there like a big wind sail. But both good choices I love both bikes.
I dont like the colour, bike is nice,i like the r1 sound a bit better, but the aprillia is nice.
Yep, I think once you get to a certain price point it becomes preference. All these bikes are quite good.
What size are the spools for the rear stand?
It must be a great feeling! I myself have owned new big bikes as well and it's like a strange kinda happiness. I mean you think day and night about it... Intoxication is the word lol! Gotta love it!! California is where I lived most my life, but now am in Europe motorcycles are the in thing out here "thank God" Enjoy that beautiful ❤️ beast👍 Safe riding bud
Thank you very much for your kind words and enjoy motorcycling in Europe. Still love the beast and enjoying my time and ability to ride. Life is good right now! Juuuust working a bit too much lol. Guess you gotta pay to play.
Hi is the bike so far many people state they have oil leak problems?
I have not noticed any kind of leak anywhere.
Dude can’t find a legit answer but I just got a R6 Race the other day, and I want to know if I can modify it with 2020 parts. You mentioned in the video and wanted to confirm since my bike hasnt arrived yet.
Yep, there has been no changes at all since 2020. Exact same bike.
can u put a light blinker and register the Bike as a 600 cc motocyle? maybe put catalyst on it ? make it legal? for street?
fuckkk this looks amazing, i've seen some 2024 models in europe going for 15k euros or so, i'd love to have one also i love this rear seat style with the aero openings, is this something that comes on a stock r6 or just swapped out? ty
Thank you! Every time I realize I actually own this motorcycle, I cannot believe it! The rear section is stock.
After an exhaust and ECU flash, it will be even better.
Indeed, and I’m being patient. My work schedule has changed and I haven’t had much time to adjust. But it will be done!!!😁
@@tebuchenself2882-Can u do an updated video of the reliabilty of the bike. I'm thinking about one myself!

@@tebuchenself2882-Understood. I'll be on the lookout when your ready!
Can you add headlights?
Yes
Is it possible to add headlights? I want an r6 but there are no tracks were I live :(
Yes it is possible but if you don’t plan on tracking the bike I might go for a 2020 or earlier. Not only do you have to and headlights and the entire bracket system to house it you have to do the other things to make it street legal. Eventually, it would have to pass state inspection then be registered and titled as street legal and you know the dmv will get there’s 💰
@@tebuchenself2882well the price people are asking for used road legal r6’s, it might be cheaper. Plus it’s brand new and has better performance!

Thanks! Yeah, I still can’t believe I’m in possession of this beautiful machine!!! The 660 is awesome and you’ll love the upgrade
Have you had any overheating problems in traffic? if so, was it resolved and how?
No problems but I do notice that the bike heats up pretty quickly while in traffic but does cool off when moving. I plan on getting an akra exhaust and tune and have heard that the tune has the bike running cooler. We shall see...

Just pure insanity!!!
Now go and get that bike dirty!!!! It's time.

Is it possible to install the front lights? I mean it comes with the instalation?
Yes its possible. It has the wire harness but nothing else. You would need the whole front light assembly. Brackets and housing plus lights
Great video! I’m picking up the exact same bike next week. $18,500 out the door is a freaking steal!!
Man! Almost makes me want to buy another one lol. Congrats on a great bike and great deal.
1299 and not even close
Agreed, 1299 is a master piece!
I bought a 2023 RSV4 last year in the silver and am in love with it as well. Mine came from the dealer with an Austin Racing exhaust already installed. I added a Gabro tune and WOW. The sound is intoxicating as you have pointed out but also the power, feel, and over all riding experience is just incredible. My last bike was a 2013 GSXR 750 with tons of mods for the track and as much as I loved it this is something else entirely.
I couldn’t agree more. These bikes are flipping awesome! I’m coming up on my 1st service and definitely going for an exhaust and tune. I cannot wait!!!
I also started off in the gixxer world with a 600 SRAD. Fantastic bike but the RSV4 on another planet
Congrats. Just did a deal today for the exact bike for 18.5k otd. 1.5k + 500 mil discount and I had a trade in that took care of the bulk of the taxes. I pick it up Saturday. Doing the YT thing where you watch and rewatch every video on your new bike. Test rode a Streetfighter V4 and RSV4, back-to-back, and it wasn't close for me. Picked the RSV4 because it was just better for me in every area. Price (5k less), engine felt more powerful but smoother (single digit miles so no full beans), more comfortable ride (seat angle is the SF V4's issue I think), better wind protection and it looks better. Checked out an R1 for the same price but it didn't stir the nethers.
Yo man, congrats!!!! That’s awesome. Saturday is going to be epic and I almost can’t wait for you 😂 Yep yep…I did you YT thing too. You’re bike is something special and it’s so good, I wish every motorcyclist could have the experience. Heck of a deal for what you’re getting too. Any mod plans?
Just like the front turn signals. Does it comes with the connection for the back turn signals, daylights, headlights and horn?
Yep, all the wires and connections are there. I bought a set of mirrors to look more street legal to break in some miles and it was plugged and play
So yeah it’s plumbed
where did you get the headlights from
It does not have headlights. If I were to put some in I would check ebay if I was on a budget or order a brand new set from the dealer if I had extra cash.
Latest model has no turn signal on mirror
Where did you get the chamber/mid pipe delete?

I have not converted this bike for street use. I know others that have converted straight up dirt bikes to make it street legal and it seems pretty easy.
