Californias CARB has just banned all gas cars and even vintage cars and motorbikes, other states will follow. In EU the new Schlaboubve laws will bann all gas cars from 2027 on! In Switzerland you are not allowed any longer to drive with gas cars on mountain roads and passes any longer...(Heschlavvo laws)

Very nice, but 130 bhp ? I worked at a Rootes/ Chrysler dealership many years ago and seem to recall that same engine in the Hunter GLS made something like 93 bhp. 🤔

My uncle had one of these in Blue on a P reg, 75/76, early manual car. The car must've been 2 years old when he bought it. Troublesome beast as I remember and the fuel consumption was appalling. He parted company with it and went into a 308.

"Mid engined, actually might be rear engined: I don't really know" For a classic car dealer that claims "unrivalled knowledge of the more eclectic brands" this might be a touch embarrassing. When you went to the passenger side I thought you might pop the engine cover release which would have clearly demonstrated to you that the car is rear engined. There are literally no chassis connections to the engine at the back end of it. Great to see an A310 though. Terrific, under rated cars. I love mine.

Sadly soon all gas cars will be banned in EU and USA! In France they have a new banning law for ICE cars called SCHLABOUBVE and in Switzerland the HESCHLAVVO law! In Scandinavian countries soon there will be a so called SMORVERBIDEN law. In Germany from 2027 the new BABVVO and TEBBVO laws by the green peoples party will bann all gas cars from public streets only exception will be professional commuter trips and state-certified transports)

as an ex mercedes owner of 15 years, and I am possibly thinking of a decent CLK 2.3 ragtop (but only an excellent one) , most mercs 2004 onwards I wouldnt waste the time of day on- best proper Mercedes must be the R129 and R105 SL, the 190 (If you can find a good one) but the SEL . hands down , must be one of the very best models they made- if rust free and good pedigree. A very handsome looking car indeed. Very rare indeed. Normally rusted out most probably these cars, but you would see it on the bodywork if they are.. Old school. Not like the newer junk, which is what Mercs are. And I had a 190 then two R170 SLK inc 3.2 over a 15 year or so period.
