They stocked during the week I was hearing the guy next to me say they stocked on Wednesday and limited out within an hour and some others were also talking about it so I guess truck chasing is a must now because by the time sat comes around 700lbs of fish which equals to roughly 350 fish would be gone unfortunately or close to gone

@@HeavyDutyKingsOutdoor I had thrown out a carolina rig. Could not believe the breeder size but cut the line since you cannot catch them via hook n line nor was it in season lol

I stay using live bait it’s the way to go I believe jack smelt you can catch them at any fishing spot

I honestly don’t know brother lol I went to adventure out and I saw the jetty and said I was going to try it but failed so I’m going back to dominate it 💪🏽💪🏽

Yessir I believe so I always carry mine when I’m out there just to be on the safe side

The live bait we get it on a sabiki size 3 it’s a really small hook and ball up tiny balls of bread put it on the hook and let it sink and just wait. It usually won’t take long to bring any up u will feel them bite instantly. As for the fish board I don’t think there is any at that location but there is a variety of fish you can hook.

What pier you Were at

We use a sabiki with tiny balls of bread but has to be size 3 small hooks on the sabiki no glow in the dark balls on it I have a lil bit of it filmed on my video in Dana point I just posted

lol I work graveyard that’s why I was up but yea we have lost big fish before I don’t know I wish we could land but they break 40 and 50 lb braid so whatever it is it’s huge! And yea there is sharks out there my buddies have caught Leopard sharks and smooth hound out there it’s pretty kool

But I'm, I have 65 pound braid. Big 150 mono. And a big hook and some Mackerel.

And yea people were catching but it was slower than my usual spot but I want to go around and try different spots for the viewers

After all, I do not know much about halibut fishing; I am a flounder fisherman, and I just assumed since it wasn't deeper sea and/or monster size, it must be a flounder. My ignorance. No problem brother I’m glad to help and for those you can use swim bait or a Texas rig with a plastic worms or any plastic on a rig you want to cat out and reel in slowly with a jerk every once in a while so the instincts on the fish kick in to attack the lure and also you can try spoons or jerk bait and they will normally come with a hook attached

Yea we had a good day I had caught my first halibut but I didn’t record because for some reason it was on record and didn’t know so when I pressed record it stopped lol major fail
