It sounds like you are trying to plough the furrow of the self help books to get no harvest. Last year a friend was reading Manson's self help book and I could not find out from them what they got out of it. This led me to ask questions about the whole category. Personally I have purpose and I find that few people have that. If one has purpose then self help books are a mere curiosity. Although time is wasted on reading a given book, awareness of the category and what people get from such books is worth knowing. As an aside, even though I only watch in 240p, I can't help but notice how gorgeous your skin is. Clearly you look after yourself and it shows. If only more people looked after their health as much as you clearly do. You need to hold on to what you have got so others can see what is possible if they look after themselves with what they eat, how they move and what they read!

I have read the the subtle art one of the first books I read and omg I know the book goes and i understand why it was hard for her to say anything maybe will make a video about it . Self help is like a reminder to us on purpose just like you said I agree but hopefully the writers get better at this at one point . Aww thank you about the skin I appreciate it . Thanks for watching.

@@LucyAkao As a Brit I am intrigued as to whether self-help books are really an American cultural phenomenon. I would like to know about whether people in places such as China or Russia have their own self help books, and if so, how they differ to American ones. I don't think it is necessary to read them to get the gist, really they are always going to be one idea padded out to 75k words. So the Audible approach is all that is needed, or even the Wikipedia page. Here is one for you that can be downloaded as a PDF or presumably on Audible: The Inner Game of Tennis. W Timothy Gallwey. I don't play tennis myself, but if I had arms as healthy as yours look, I would! I don't think the book will make you play tennis, it is all about the 'inner game and the outer game'. The inner game is about conquering yourself when you get defeated, and using your subconscious to not over think things, a bit like gut instinct, I suppose. The outer game is with the opponent. The author is also teaching newbies to get good at actual tennis, those videos on YT are incredible and date back to news reports in maybe the 1980s, or earlier. Anyway, I think you might like to add it to your list. Maybe for content, you could rate your reads in the self help category for things such as waffle, anything learned, timelessness and other metrics, to see what gets to the top of the rankings... Putting in the effort to read or listen to a whole book for your content is a good idea. It shows you value the viewer's time. It takes a lot of work to get a channel established, and I think you will find the effort will pay off, even though book reviews are never going to compete with Mr Beast. It is best to have an engaged, smaller audience than a vast audience that don't really go intellectual on things. Keep at it and maybe give The Inner Game of Tennis a go!

I appreciate if a person wants to dress in an elegant manner( not necessarily to depict classism but individual style) however my qualm with the whole issue is the creators who jump on the internet to belittle others because of what they choose to wear. To me soft life means working hard so I can get to enjoy the pleasures that come as a result of my hardworking. For example paying a cleaner so I can relax on a Saturday morning because I am tired after doing my two jobs and looking after a family. The important aspect here is ensuring affordability. Now let me watch and then I will comment again 😊

Awnnn Lucy, babes after watching this all I can say is that I’m so proud of you. It takes courage to be this open… If no one has ever told you, you’re doing great, yes you carry what you carry inside of you, but like you said, we all carry it too, our baggages are real, they leak through our lives wether we want them to or not. So babes, yes you’re doing great🫶🏼. I pray that the healing you seek, you find it sooner than later and that good things and good things only find you❤

Your one of the strongest people I have met. Your drive and determination are unfathomable. To bare yourself to your audience like that takes a considerable amount of bravery. We all have many different problem but Lucy you are not alone. As you said we are all broken from past traumas but it's how we move on and understand them. Without probably realising, you have come a long way. You haven't let any of those problems define you. I am proud of you. Thank you for all of your help, you always have a supporter here ❤
