Mosconi Cup Day 3 - Key Takeaways and Interview with Jeremy Jones
The one word subtitles are a bit distracting
Mika's behavior is unprofessional along with anyone else that acts like that. Justifying poor sportsmanship by saying thats how he's always been and he's an emotional player is a poor argument. All the other players have to deal with the same pressures. It's really a slap in the face to the community to pretend that this is acceptable. You learn a lot about people when they're are at their worst. Mika has taken it out on other players before, just because he didn't this time, doesn't make it any better. He gets a pass because of his clout. If this was a no name APA or BAC player they would've been thrown out of the league. The WPA would definitely red carded him. You guys are so close 33:04 You're confused about how SVB and Gorst are so popular? This completely disproves your point. People watch to see them play NOT act like poor sports when they lose. That's why SVB and Gorst are so popular because they play the game at the highest level. Watch auto racing if you like watching wrecks. You guys are ídolizing character flaws instead of emphasizing positive things like how to not crumble under pressure. I don't watch pool to see WWE nonsense.
Did he just say the Michael Jordan of pool? LOL. Whats this guys smoking. Efren Reyes is the king! If anything Michael Jordan is the the Efren Reyes of basketball.
53:05 Corey had this same idea and he got hosed for it 😂
SVB, the Russian, el cielo, Big O tires, and the redhead for the team
lol...keep talkin about US mosconi team when you know they not winnin against europe
I think it might be close this time. Just maybe lol
Why the double standards. Beat up on earl and defend Mika Bj Mike dechaine, Johnathan all those players get hell even hunter but Mika gets pass . Just my observation. Treat everyone like you do Mika please don't block me for having a thought
Lol “please don’t block me”. I do see your point though.
i think maybe in earl's case, and also dechaine, what people criticize is that they put themselves in losing positions with their antics. both in matches and their careers. ask mike zuglan what he thinks the difference is. because there's a difference in being a sore loser and being completely out of order. and i like all three of them - mika, earl, mike.. earl is the best 9b player ever imo
I had started looking at Lucasi for another cue
You have to pick Ko Ping Chung
Karl will pick Jayson and Albin. No doubt. Outside chance for David. Karl is very aware of how such events works. It's quite likely that we will see a close race and a high pressure day 4.
I was interested in picking up a Zen cue
WPA events are a little boring to watch compared to match room.
“What’s the over under on how many words Shane’s gonna say?” ☠️
still talkin about the Shiller Filler lmao, hes a spineless little weasel, the end.
Mike, how do we enter in this Panthera raffle?
Rubilen beat Han Yu, Rita Chou, Chezka Centeno, Wei Tsu-Chien, Kristina Tkach, then Siming Chen on her way to the World 9ball Title. Murderers' row. She was World 10ball champion is 2009 then 2013. With this win she now has an individual world title in each of the last 3 decades. Hoping to get to meet you here in Manila Mike and Mike!
Joshua mostly plays these events because Pia is playing in the women's event. The same for the Eurotour, European Championships etc.
So was Fedor's fiance'. Fedor didn't cave in or lie.
Fedor won the last 3 big Events and has more then enough money right now 😅 and i guess he dont have to pay 50% taxes on everything he wins.
@@lebronfan9293 Nothing to do with Fedor. I only brought his name up because of Krystina, and the similar situation to what was mentioned above. There are at least TEN other guys in the top 16, that could've used another potential payday but stayed united. Josh did not. Nice (weak) try. Weak like Josh.
Safe travels for Molina’s overseas traveling🙏🏾
In all fairness, Chang might have beat Filler if not for the shot clock.
World 8ball was a glorified Eurotour event
filler´s last 3 opponents were from taiwan...😂
@@konstantinkadow3869 80% of the field was mid tier euro players... also, ANYONE can actually play a euro tour event you don't have to be european
One guy i use to look up to. But he never acknowledged me when i was younger. But of an ego on this guy.
Lmao that’s funny
Looks like it's just a matter of admitting there's now a pro tour and wpa is totally out of that league
The JFPA = Josh Fillers Pool Association. - No one will ever beat him now.
Kazakis + VAR+ smoke breaks+ challenges 😂😂😂 4 hr matches 😊
Filler is a great player but also a cheat, liar and a man with no integrity.
Us Open match between SVB and Corey Duel mid 2000’s hill hill , SVB called a foul on his self when no one else, Corey included, knew he fouled. ,
In snooker where there 10 times more money on the line the players call fouls on himself all the time, not so must in pool.
Hey Mike, do you have this podcast enabled for audio only somewhere?. The one I found hasn't been updated in over 7 months.
i agree. would listen more often to them if they had
Absolutely
Why do matchroom even want a WPA sanctioned event. It seems they don’t need or want it
I'm new to pool. why is the mosconi cup such a big deal? even in golf, the walker cup isn't brought up as much.
wow. great video overall but your definition of genius is spot on. extremely observant people are geniuses not only in pool.
No love lost for Filller here. Who cares if he takes back a statement that someone else pressured him to write? He shouldn’t have been asked to write it. If a player wants a platform to speak from, they should earn it themselves like he has.
World 8ball isn't a "Major" anymore. Tell 'em!
In the same year, when Filler said he just misunderstood the Griff's tournament cueball foul rule, I believed him. When Filler touched the 6 ball twice and kept shooting in US open, I doubt him. When Filler posted and eventually played in WPA event, he lost all the trust.
Predator has squeezed them, there is no easy way out
Can someone tell me if Keith is dominant left-eyed?
oscar or billie i really believe billy would distract more than help and oscar is playing very well . Sky will have to do his best guess.
On the major topic, the US Open, Worlds and WPM are the events with the mix of history and prestige. Everything else is just too new. They are also seemingly mirroring the Snooker Tour which has basically the same major structure. Just change the K to and S in one of the events.
This was/is the best interview so far. Thanks
I love getting updated in the way that we do from the likes of you two. These shows are fantastic and I absolutely do not mind that they are an hour and a half long.
Totally agree with Panozza about the World Pool Masters and MR hyping up and making it some sort of Grand Slam.
Team USA should be Shane, Fedor, Skylar, Tyler, and Oscar.
This sounds perfect to me
ko ping chung and biado
there was a time kaci did go to the bathroom after almost every game against biado I think during the US open where biado eventually won
there was a player who took bathroom breaks after every game
their 3 day contest before the US open really helped them both going into the US open in stroke already or in the zone
I wish there were more vendors there. There weren't many there. When I was in Las Vegas in February there were lots and lots of vendors.
Molina Mike has to do a better job of letting the other guy talk and finish his thoughts. He’d be much better interviewer if he did, and he is already pretty good.
There should be rules on how many bathroom breaks are taken during a match. The following day Jeremy commentated for hours with no bathroom breaks. Thats the question that needs to be addressed. He obviously was taking advantage of a situation where there were not rules in place that controlled his behavior. What other sport allows for bathroom breaks?? None that I’m aware of.
Baseball players can go when they are in the dugout. Basketball players can go between quarters. Football players can go whenever the other side is on the field. This is not an issue.
@@jbart9309 pool is so different. The player has to take his or her own break when needed. 3 bathroom breaks during a match should not be allowed. The times I play in a tourney you’re allowed one break. It’s not fair to the opponent. Not a fan of this kind of behavior. The following day he can go for hours commentating with no breaks. Clearly bathroom breaks are a strategy for him.
@@lindsaymarks3481 From what I understand Gorst went during tv timeouts. I have seen no mention of him having held up the match. Different story if he did. In which case I would lean more toward your view. What he does during tv timeouts, I think he should haves some discretion as long as there are no delays.
Love the coverage, thank you!
