Goodbye For Now?
I am having to say goodbye for now and stop doing videos for a while. I have a lot of stresses happening in my life and I don't have the time to dedicate to doing the videos as I would like. I am hoping to be back at some point in the future and I will try and film stuff in the interim to show what I have been up to.

Hi Leigh, hope your keeping well. Just got good news today regarding my PIP and decided to to share on here. Since I won my PIP Tribunal in October 2022, I have been receiving PIP until March 2024 when I had to Renew my claim for PIP, since this date I received zero, after sending in all papers along with the PIP questionnaire, I received a message with a link to a site to clarify my health details by answering questions by a AI system, which was very repetitive. Today my lovely wife phoned me from work to say she received a message on her phone saying "We have awarded you PIP. We have sent you a decision letter explaining the award. Please allow two weeks to receive this." When my wife called me on her break to say she has some very good news for me, I couldn't imagine it was regarding my PIP claim, as I thought I would have received a letter first, but since my wife used her phone number for all PIP updates instead of mine as she is acting on my behalf, I couldn't believe the good news, not just that I have been awarded PIP, but that I didn't have to go for a face-to-face or phone assessment like the last time. I don't know if I will be awarded the standard rate for both components as previously, or the enhanced rate, either way this is a huge victory and relieve for both me and my wife, as we share this torture that the DWP put us through. I just had to share this with others to show there is always hope however small. Now my wife and I can celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in October of this year with fewer worries regarding the DWP. I do hope that my news can give other claimants who are applying for PIP, weather its a new claim or a renewal, that hope is always there however small. I wish the best of luck for those claiming PIP or similar benefits. Thanks Leigh for this great channel that helps us all who are in the web of the DWP. Your keen followers Colin & Luciana.

did you know that you can do this tribunal by video and you can also ask your representative to attend on your behalf? As these are allowable reasonable adjustments, maybe you can combine both but if you do not ask you will not get, so i would do a video or ask someone to speak on my behalf, as it is a court process and people have lawyers and when people go to court and the lawyer talks to the court, so same idea get an advocate to talk on your behalf, remove nerves and stress in your life

Appeals are just as bad, my missus has been through the appeals tribunal process twice over 5 years and two claims both refused outright by the DWP and the silent assassins in the tribunal. Both times her representative not allowed to speak on her behalf even though she struggles to communicate She's autistic, has NF and various other mental and physical health diagnoses. Once the the tribunal says no there's naff all you can do. She's now suicidal.

It was lovely to win my very difficult and emotional tribunal back in late October. When I finally got the backdated PIiP in my account on the 28th of December that the DWP owed me, it was lovely and came at a great time to finish one year and start a new one financially better off which made Christmas and the new year for both my lovely wife Luciana. Receiving around £7800, made me have a little part for once. Also my wife and I applied for UC which we will get around £400 a month that will help towards the rent and bills, taking the strain of my wife needing to pay for all. Good luck to all who maybe facing a review or Tribunal to get what is rightly theirs. The best of luck to everybody this year, 2023.

I will always wear the leg brace but I will take it off if I have to get a review. I must admit that a cleaner and home shopping wouldn’t be top of my list. We're still waiting for my 16 yr old daughters PIP tribunal date. It's been months. I hope they haven't forgotten her. They have only given her 2 points for the social thing with her Autism. She can't use buses, but because I made the mistake of saying when she was first diagnosed autistic in 2019 that she could use the train if I literally put her on it & she got off & back on at the same place & I met her this end, they didn't give her any points for that. If a train had been cancelled or changed platform, she would have been stuffed! She was also turned down at her Work capability appointment recently for limited working. She works part time & can't cope with working full time. But they don't believe that. Was hoping she would at least be able to get some Universal credit top up. It's not her fault she can't work full time. Whenever she has tried she leaves after a day as it's too much for her & she ended up on antidepressants & signed off work again. But they will push her back into full time work at this rate because she wants a better income, then the cycle will continue I just know it. How long do they make you wait for the PIP tribunal? x

I want to ask if the tribunal made any recommendations to the DWP about when your award needs to be reviewed. I had my first claim awarded after MR. At the second review, a couple of years later, the case was due to go to Tribunal. I had a date for tribunal but DWP phoned the day before and said they would reinstate, and backdate, my award. I accepted although I had a choice to go to tribunal anyway. I wonder if there was something I missed about the powers of tribunal that might have helped. I'm partly paralysed from a spinal injury. There's no way my condition can improve, yet DWP continue to review and assess me every couple of years. This seems harrassing and unnecessary. I've just completed yet another review form. I've no idea if DWP will carry on messing me about. So, I wondered if you thought the tribunal was a better process to go through. It sounds much more transparent.

The gamble you take with going to tribunal is that they could award you with less points and you could get less money. The best thing would be to get more professional advice. Check if your local council has a welfare rights department (you can do this by sending an email to their generic email address) or contact citizens advice. If you have something that is going to make your health worse over time then it is worth having the reviews to be able to get more points and more money, if you're already on the highest amount then the reviews are unnecessary so then it is worth finding out if you can get the reviews scrapped

For this review, I did complete the form a little differently. This is the first time that I persuaded my husband to write down everything that he does for me, every day as my main carer. I also included some parts of my medical records that the DWP won't have seen before. That includes the consultant's assessment of my level of disability before and after surgery, as well as follow up appointments and physio. When the neurologist did the surgery, he was quite clear that I was unlikely to recover my previous level of ability, and I didn't. It's only the DWP that seem surprised that you can't regenerate a new spinal cord. What worries me is that I'm not currently seeing any health professional as a regular patient. Why would I? The DWP might assume that you must have fully recovered if you aren't always pestering your GP.

Thank you for sharing your experience, it helped me a lot. Today as in 31,October, I attended my PIP Tribunal which was pure torture because my health condition is Social Anxiety Disorder, so facing the Judge, Doctor and two other people, one by my side who was from the DWP, put me in panic, leaving me crying and shaking almost all of the time that seemed to have no end with one question after another. When the tribunal was over I was asked to wait in another room for a few minutes before being called back in and told I have won the appeal, which for both myself and my lovely wife who was my representative, left us both feeling a great relief with much emotion. Was explained that I would receive the standard rate for both Mobility and Daily living, back dated from March 2021 and would continue to receive until March 2024 before being assessed again. Still can’t believe I won, not just receiving what am entitled too, but also beating the DWP.

Hi Colin just recently had my PiP tribunal after scoring 6 points on daily living which equals to no support, i had the cab involved on my case as it was a long process and i was assured i should have got more points, the tribunal went along with assessors report however i did qualify for the low level mobility component which i didnt get through the assessment, i felt i should have atleast got the minium points for the care component as my condition revolves around mental health, im fed up

@@Taz4u12k4 Hi Tahir, I’m so sorry to hear about how the Tribunal agreed with the assessors report, they can be as bad as the assessors as I found out on my very first Tribunal years ago. The low level mobility component isn’t enough for you to live on considering your condition. It’s seems to be harder to score points for mental health and believe they should have a separate questionnaire for this. When I failed a few years ago at my tribunal, I wrote not just to my local MP but also the Prime Minister, who I believe had some effect as a week or so later I got a letter from the DWP awarding me my payment, not sure how it worked out at the time but I remember I continued with my benefit. So maybe you could try doing the same as your in your right to do this and have a chance of things being overturned in your favour. I know how stressful this is for you as I have been through this over and over many times before wanting to give up on life, but with my wife’s support I was able to continue the fight to get what I was rightfully entitled too. Take care Tahir, and the best of luck. Colin

@@ColinRussianForce i got some advice from regarding pip discriptors for the cooking part they should have scored me 4 points as i dont use the cooker no more, i burn the fryer and fortunately for me i did have family members present, i also had a doctors medical evidence to back this up and still they denied it me, unfortunately the cab who delt with my case wont be able to help further so ive decided to leave it as it is my health is more important

Its 10 months since I first applied for pip. I'm at the last stage now. I got 0 points the first time and 2 points on the reconsideration. Now waiting on the tribunal. After a bone marrow transplant and many years of building my immune system, I finally got back to work. 1 year later covid happened and I've been in isolation since. Confined to a 1 bed flat and completely on my own. Too scared and anxious to socialise out of fear of catching covid. After everything I've been through I have never been as depressed and anxious as I am waiting on this tribunal. I really doubt I will get it and kinda just wish I never bothered.

Ive read that frappe with the small ice throughout can help. It does give you throat freeze so might affect veins close them up a bit. The ear piercing helps, but takes months to heal then heals suddenly. After piercing u still get them but they dont usually fully develop thank god.

While im sad this is the last video for now, your reasons are very understandable, your health and real life are for more important. I hope things go well and happily for you! Understandable as well given how hard a youtube video is to do as well.
