Hey! Thank you for sharing the recipe, I’m definitely excited to try it. Can you please comment a bit on the grind size ? You mentioned coarse in the description, but how course exactly ? Thanks !
Ah right, I do my french press for a similar time, makes sense to do the same for an inverted aeropress.
Didn’t think of that!
Umm i've had mine for a few years now....first off this is NOT for Espresso, 2nd I've NEVER had that much dust after my grind, even with no water added.....maybe try some different coffee??
Lol so french press technique with an aero press. Okay. Cool
He doesn't mention when you turn it over there's a sudden vacuum which can force the plunger out so you have to hold the two pieces together quite firmly If you don't want boiling coffee all over yourself
Hmmm, I haven’t experienced that and I’ve been doing inverted coffee for years. I’ll definitely keep an eye out!
Try chai latte with pumpkin Spice and cider
That is an interesting combo. We make our own pumpkin spice cream so I can definitely try that are you thinking of a syrup?

I ordered the flow control filter last week and I’ve used it a few times already. It is absolutely great and using it enhances the whole coffee making experience. I don’t have to use the inverted method anymore and that is fine with. Me. The inverted method produces only about half a cup of coffee whereas the flow control method produces a full cup of coffee. It is wonderful and I don’t think I will ever go back to the old method again. Thank you Aeropress.
I picked this up and followed your recipe to make an iced latte (replaced the water at the end with milk and syrup) and it came out great. Thank you!
The only reason I'm listening to this guy is because he is wearing a Casioak.
Good enough reason as any!
okay. trying it tomorrow.
I have mine set at 75 clicks for a kalita wave pour over and it still tastes bitter. What setting do you use for pour over?
At this point I honestly don’t remember anymore. I haven’t actually made a pour over in a year. I actually broke my Chemex and never got around to replacing it. I am usually making an aeropress or espresso.
W😂why did you laugh
9 min is way tooooooo loooong 😛
Finally posting a comment about this method after trying it for 4-5 times! Was skeptical about the prolonged 9 minutes but OMG ITS ONE OF THE BEST AEROPRESS RECIPES EVER! so easy and so perfect for travels and the cup in the end was so flavorful! ❤
Glad you like it! I still do this at least once a week!
9 minutes doesn’t count as easy 😂
Mine does not work right. No crema, no nothing. Just straight sour coffee.
Hmmm, is it ground too coarse?
@@JosiahDuenes no. I grinded a step finer like Outin told me and nothing came out. Outin refuses to refund even after showing video. Going through buyer protection now. Don’t trust this company.
@@Kikiobi616its not that expensive😭
Buy the nano basket, you won't regret it. It's a game changer
Is this an attachment for this? Or a different brewer all together?
@@JosiahDuenes It's a bigger portafilter with Its own shower and tamper. It is AWESOME. Also did you know you can shut it down? I was today years old when i found you need to turn it off by a click.
@@Sala_mandr I will need to try this!
Best cup of coffee I have had out of my Aeropress. Cheers!
9 minutes??? Do you put it in the microwave to reheat?
😂
Heat of the water should be?
I usually brew around 195 to 205
Went and ground 34g of coffee only to realize he doesn’t share how much water to use, and doesn’t share how long to brew for.
That cup rocks I must have it!! Can you say where you got it?
And now you have cold coffee
I feel assaulted by that wink!
Podrías hacer un video de cómo se seca la pastilla, gracias
what number did you dial in for espresso?
How does this not lose heat in that 9 minutes. 9 minutes!?!?? That’s crazy.
It does but it should be ready to immediately drink instead of waiting a bit
Great video! I really like that you show and talk about clean up. This the 3rd review on this espresso maker I have watched and no one talked about. Dig your channel bro. Seems cool but I’ll stick to my aero press on the go! 😎👍🏽
I think the aeropress with the pressurized cap is a great alternative!
I got one, and tossed it out. POS. I have two AeroPress and couldn’t get it to fit properly. It leaked out the sides. Tried to return it but AeroPress would not reply (to multiple contact requests) or offer to replace it or refund. Total junk.
Dang I’m sorry you had a bad experience with yours. I haven’t had an issue with it fitting on any of mine. 😞
There is a newer version that doesn't got that issue... it looks wavy. I've read about some people getting it replaced with the newer one.
Dude a troll young man, I had my Aero press for 6 years, never had and isuue with it, people aren't followng the direction on how on how to grind their coffee for this press, only espresso grind will cause that issue.
9 minutes...wow, that seems like a long brew time for an Aeropress?
Have you found a naked portafilter upgrade for this espresso machine? I saw a video of someone using one. I have the Wacaco picopresso, which comes as a bottomless portafilter portable espresso pump. Have you ever heard of it? I watched your video to compare it to what I have, and preferred mine because it is bottomless. Do you preheat your portable espresso pump? I do preheat mine; I’ll run a few empty shots of hot water through and let some hot water sit in the chamber to keep it from sapping the heat when I make my shot.
I have tried finding on on my own that fit but it was always slightly off. But I think there are some people overseas that make one you can order but often times it was in a different language. I just didn’t get around to it. The company said they were making on themselves but I haven’t followed up! I have been wanting to try the one you have!
Can it make coffee with dolce gusto capsules?
You mean nespresso? i dont think so if you mean without buying additional stuff. Get the sp200 one, it can do nespresso
@@egi3762 no, I mean the Nestlé capsules, Dolce Gusto is a coffee machine from them. But thanks for answer me.
I dont think so
Why do you have the press in already? If you could explain that would be awesome!! :)
This would be an inverted method so the press is in. What I do is put the coffee and water in. Then cap it off and flip. You won’t need to do this if you have the new pressurized filter. It is meant to now let water leak out before a press!
I genuinely don't think I can get 260g water in my AP.
Deadass, when I do inverted I can get like 250 maybe 255 but that's pushing it
liquid isn't measured in grams
@@ScreechingSoup by scale you can
@@ScreechingSoup On scale it is because water (tap, or bottled spring water etc) weighs 1g for 1ml so its really easy to measure.
@@ScreechingSoup1 g of water = 1mL of water. Good times
well done!
I use a chopstick to stir.. No splashing.. Also 9 Minutes?! More than any award winning recipe..
You know they have a time limit right? At least do some research on why this recipe works so well.
@jackattack8044 I have, a lot. 9 minutes!
Lighter roasts tend to require higher water temperatures and contact time for decent flavour extraction
@@kakaderaunak agreed
This grinder is pretty amazing. The threads on the cup are different now so it doesn’t come loose. It is the best hand grinder IMO at any price.
I agree I still love using it. It’s the only grinder I go for my aeropress as of late!
Would you just double everything for aeropress xl?
I would yes. Lots of recipes work for double!
9 minutes? It'll be cold tho...
It doesn’t get cold. It stays around 170 or so Fahrenheit
@@JosiahDuenes after 9 minutes????
It gets lukewarm.. You gotta zapp it in the micro.
@@cliffcox7643 no lol
@user-il9qo4qc4n yeah, that's why people are mentioning it. 9 min is a long time w a lot of heat loss from different vessels. It will be lukewarm . You're going from boil container, to 9 min aeropress, to coffee cup. You can bathe a baby in that temp coffee. Sometimes I actually use ot to sponge bathe my infant even its so ideally lukewarm.
Wow thanks for the recipe, this was so simple yet so flavorful. The 9 minutes was worth wait !
It’s one I keep going back to!
So stirring back-and-forth is actually to help prevent water from splashing out of the sides and evening the coffee bed in this kind of brewer is pointless because water isn’t passing through a coffee bed. Especially with the inverted method you’re doing an infusion, So you’re not really working with a bed of coffee rather you’re working with a slurry as the coffee is floating around in the water.
You did not Tamp the sides of it
Yeah the method in which they suggest to tamp with the scooper isn’t the full size but I haven’t found a difference with the sides completely flat or not. Not with a machine like this!
do you know how many clicks in comandante to grind
My guess from the coffee ground size would be from 11 - 14 clickes
Is this the aeropress xl
This is the regular!
