Garbage. Being stuck in one position does not make a comfortable ride. Being able to change and vary your position is important to stay limber and relaxed on a bike. Slouching in a Wall-E chair is far too limiting when it comes to *_riding._*

I love that you can control the age content, block certain apps and videos, and free storage space with apps that haven’t been used in a while. This tablet has assisted my son’s learning in so many ways. We love it!

If they gan sell a upright bike for $300, you should be able to get a recumbent for $1000...just saying...

Haven't got a trike (saving for one), but cycling can actually help you recover from disability. Have peripheral neuropathy, was unable to walk, very little feeling, wheelchair bound. But once able to stand, rode a bicycle which improved the strength in my legs, helped my nerves regrow due to using the muscles. SPD clipless pedals were great as had no idea what my feet were doing , they needed to be atached to the pedals. Having only hadfeeling in the pinky of each hand , the di2 gears were reconfigured so could change gear with 1 finger on each hand.

Same for me, thought my riding was forever over when I couldn't change gears or lean on the handle bars of my MTB due to the osteo-arthritis. Bought my 1st trike in 2006....FREE on 3 ever since

Where can I find the front glass finder that can installed on recumbent??

I like the idea of having the tent or the shade that installed on recumbent. Can you please let me know where I can find it ?

After riding for 23 years on regular bikes, my life stopped. A work accident and a chronic illness left me with physical sequelae. I recently found out about electric-assisted trikes...e-bike. But it is impossible to buy one. They are very expensive.😪

It is a far stretch to claim that the BikeE is a copy of a Linear. The only thing they have in common is the use of an extrusion and that is hardly something Linear invented.

I like how all these people that are trying to express how much better a three-wheeled lounging bicycle is better than a two-wheel bicycle are fat and pretty fucking ugly.

I just turned 54 in January. I had been on DF bikes for a few years, pushing hard, but got slight neck problems from always being in the TT position on my Litespeed T1 set up with aerobars. For some people, that injury would be enough to switch to recumbents and it was the reason I used to justify my purchase. However, the main reason I bought it was because it was not only going to be tons faster than my DF bike, I would be able to maintain that speed for longer. With that said, listening to you Trikeys explain your injuries and why you made the switch from DF to 'bents makes my reason to switch seem insignificant and is very inspiring.

Most people are not aware of the innovations the recumbents have made along the years, they are finetuned into true perfection these days - recumbents are still heavy underrated unfortunately, but when you experience the true comfort and fun while understanding the philosophy behind this design and performance, it is very hard to go back.. They are the best bikes! When looking at the history of recumbent bikes you will also realize the whole 'normal' bike industry is like a grand scam, selling all kind of frame sizes to supply the misleading demand for butthurt, neck and wrist fatigue.. The UCI never adopted and introduced recumbents to become mainstream, If they would be accepted by them a decade ago - this would already been integrated into the masses way more.. The bike speed record was set on the recumbent and undefeated for 50 years in the early days! And short after even to this date, that record is claimed by recumbents hands down and done so with way more comfort and afford an 'normal' bike is just not able to offer.. Think about the fact that the 'normal' bikes have never really changed for more than 80 years and became the industry standard, that is actually somewhat a sad reality.. Some ignorant group of people called UCI just never wanted to acknowledge what is considered the best of the best and refused to incorporate this recumbent proof of concept into the bicycle sport and media.. People were indoctrinated by the myth 'recumbent bikes are to comfy to be fast and would be for handicapped users' - and like all sheep they don`t eat what the farmer does not provide - Note that the recumbent bikes are made by professional bikers for biking enthusiasts not just for profit and manufacturing efficiency like 'normal' bikes.. The recumbent culture still is a dying breed from they day it was invented - because other big cultures like the 'fixie' community are just too conservative to follow any trends, taking this into comparison because there bikes just do not make sense what so ever and are pure distraction or let say diluting the problem even further, why I could not see the recumbents being adopted for the masses anytime soon either.. Don`t get me started about the grandma and dad`s who put there retirement money into e-bikes these days and race the streets with 25kmpu like they are young again without helmet and think they become fit again - just learn how to ride your own pace and how to shift for crying out loud!.. Those bikes are overpriced and battery`s don`t last long and have short lifespan, prohibit the freedom biking can really offer, charging takes long and the bikes are useless when the battery is empty.. Try doing some cross country on those sellouts is just hopeless to begin with, but still dominate the market because shopping became more doable on the bike and cheaper than a car - but then again if convenience would be the motivation, something went wrong a long time ago was the whole point of writing this post.. I feel like people who know better need to speak up for those who are blind by themselves, so here is my two cents.. Cheers..

Well, I'sked Randy Schlitter about the short handle for rear brake and gear levers. It was to shorten hte cables for better shifting.

They lost me at the "advantages", other than comfort, what advantages? And where do you take these bikes, trails, gravel, a couple of blue and red descends? I guess only on tarmac in traffic, exactly where I don't want to cycle.

My wife has CP and was an upright trike rider competitively, last week we got to try recumbent trikes and now neither of us can go back to upright :P

Just bought two used, a 2 and a 3 wheeler at 67. Made riding fun again. The 2 wheeler has rear suspension and is very nice but hard to start from a stop. The 3 wheeler I can ride on crowded paths because you can just sit still if you want. A Burley and a Greenspeed.

One of those velomobiles would be taken more seriously by car drivers if it had a couple holes at the front with dummy shrouded machinegun barrels sticking out about 4 inches. Subtle, but commands respect.

Fat people whining about discomfort on a regular bike as if it’s the bike’s fault. Maybe lose a 100 lbs or so and try it again. 🙄 I ride both and enjoy both for different reasons. Yes, the recumbent is generally more comfortable, but the regular bike is lighter, more nimble, climbs better and is generally faster. Bottom line is regular bikes are not uncomfortable, if you’re not a lard ass.

I'm 57 now , have been on bikes since a teen . With degenerating discs , and a hip issue now . I , in the last two years have found riding a diamond frame bike becoming more and more uncomfortable . I bought an electric bike , thinking this would allow me the freedom I once had on two wheels . Hindsight now tells me . I should have banked that cash and saved for a recumbent . Now , just a year after the purchase . I am considering going to a recumbent . Since I saw my first one a few years ago , I've liked the idea / concept . As I grow older , health tells me not to wait much longer . Thank you for the very informative , inspiring video .

Just took a fall of my speed road bike; concussion,, bruises,, internal bleeding in one hand,, my left side of the ribcage got smacked by the handle bar; disaster; so wanna ride these types now,, had to learn the hard way,,

Recumbent trikes, bikes and velomobiles are amazing as long as cars are not involved. My neon red velomobile has a pole with an American flag, two sets of intense front, rear lights and Christmas lights. People still claim that they can't see me.

Put some airplane siding on that thing & make an electric assist velomobile

Quit riding regular bike 3 years ago due balance and coordination issues because of MS. Frustrating. Discovered recumbent trikes a couple months ago. My Catrike Expedition came in last week. Freedom! 👍
