It's weird---society holds onto a lot of ideas that are outdated because most people simply won't say "Wait, why are we still doing this?" When I was a kid, our teacher told us "When you are adults, our country will have changed over to the metric system." I'm 53 now.

@@davidsroom260 Yeah, the metric system is a perfect example - it's so much easier to use and the rest of the world is on it but we're still clinging to Imperial for unknown reasons. Personally, I thought for sure we'd all have self-driving cars 20 years ago. We'll see, I guess time will tell!

Great question! The devil is in the details - just making sure your suit fits you well and is good material already will help a lot. You can also add some color with your shirt, tie or pocketsquare. Accessories like cufflinks or a watch can also make it feel more personal and less like a uniform. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

@@dapperconfidential I am studying law and often has to wear black suits as a uniform code occassionally so what should I do different to look like The Guy in crowd. I mean cufflinks and pocket squares are out of the question here and please also tell me what would be better small tie or big tie ?

⁠@tejveer2060 imo small tie. Have you tried anything else that works (other than ties) to seperate yourself from cookie cutter? My concern with black is not overdoing it, seems to be a fine line. Took a lot of trial and error with simply ties alone big/small and color to figure that one out. I’m not that interested in cufflinks but haven’t ruled out, and im not into pocket squares… for myself at least, just personal preference, they looks good on others that I’ve seen, doesn’t fit my personality I guess.

I'd need to research it a bit but I think you're right, the Hawaiian shirt was that low first button and open notch neckline characteristic to the Cuban collar. I'll dig into it and see if it's worth making a video about. :)
