Hey Cowboy, my head is elongated but crooked. When I wear my hat it sits crooked on my head. It’s like the front of the hat should be directly over my face. Well mine is cocked to the right at about 5 degrees. How do I fix that? Heat the opening on the inside? Hatband in or out? Heat from the outside? TIA🤠

I have a small head. I am right between a 7 and a 7 1/8. Would you suggest me getting the 7 and stretching it, or buying the 7 1/8? I see where they also sell a foam insulation that will adhere inside the hat to make it fit smaller.

Will this work if a straw hat is crushed??? I found one of my grandfathers old hats after going through his stuff after he passed. He wore this hat alot when i was younger and i have a few pics in it...i would love if i can restore it

There is a Canadian family drama called "Heartland". It is set on a dude ranch in Alberta. The characters in it wear their cowboy hats in any situation, plus they have USA accents, LOOOOOOL! xD

Bro, the hat you got on ain't it. It's easy to pick a hat that don't look right as there are a lot of hats out there. And some guys can't make most hats look good. It literally looks like the shaper gave up and just handed it to you.

When a woman grabs a man's hat and puts it on her head... In Fort Worth, this literally is an offer from the woman to the man to come home with her for the night!

There is no opportunity to wear a hat inside. Apart from the fact that it looks stupid, the hat is there to protect you from the elements. If you are exposed to them in the house you should think about a new house. None of this applies to women. Especially as women's hats are often interwoven with the hair and therefore cannot simply be taken off.

I was taught to zlwats take your hat off indoors no matter what the place , tip your hat when saying hello take it off while talking to a lady . I makes me feel fantastic to do that , i must be getting very old i guess .

How would you categorize the gambler hat? I'm still new to cowboy culture, but it seems that there is a more nuanced topic of distinguishing "cowboy hats" with other western styles. I don't play Texas Hold Em, but I gravitated to the gambler because I felt it flattered my silhouette best. I am around 5-11 and have a long oval face, so a tocco hat might look comical on me. Same with a bowler, although I am jealous of people who can rock those. I tried a bowler once, but it it jus made me feel like I was in costume so I had to return it. But I digress, it is interesting how there are many fasets of hat wearing, from occupation to personal style. I'm also a musician, so maybe subconsciously that's the missing piece to the puzzle. Haha.

I'm from texas,and I always wear a felt hat and I wear overalls. I don't care what hat or how you wear a hat or how take your hat off or where and how you hang it.plus what you wear ,doesn't make you a cowboy,what makes you a cowboy,is your work ethic and heart and most of all your manners.

My Mama taught me that a gentleman always removes his hat when indoors or in the presence of a lady. Also women were to keep their head covered in church. It seems that a stampede strap would make it easier to remove your hat without having to hold it but I don't know if that is sufficient.

I got some Jeremiah watt spurs that I really like the look of but they don’t make the noise they should. I know it’s silly but watt spurs are expensive and I’d prefer them to sound nice but they don’t have much of a sound

I think you need 2 more parts...one for a basic tuxedo and another for the frock coat and vest, which would be the equivalent to black tie. Always a felt hat, and the hat increases the formality
