Man oh man. This is about the 9th video I've seen of this synth and I haven't heard any REAL WORLD sounds ! Where is the desert island B3 or electric piano sounds ??? I'm looking for a keyboard to play Beatles, Allmans, Bad Co, Stevie Wonder, etc Not looking to write a movie score. Any suggestions ?

Most patches have a "metalic" sound to it. Maybe that's how Juno sounds too?

sounds great but in a band you'd have to drop those effects levels way down as like most presets on synths if it has effects its drowning in it

Thank you for NOT just focusing on the piano, organ and bass sounds! Thank you for NOT playing that stupid trance, dance music that everyone always plays on TH-cam including 50 year old men from Sweetwater, trying to be hip! The just look and sound stupid! How about all of the sounds of yesteryear that made these analog synths so popular today? How about all of the new, different sounds that these beautiful analog synths can play today? Also you don't seem to play one sound for 15 minutes like all of these other guys do! Those videos are more about the guys playing the synth, not about the synth itself. They like to do what I call musical masterbation! Look at me! I'm so talented! Stick it! Just give us quick little soundbites of each sound. That's what we came to hear! We can tell if you're talented or not in those little soundbites! You seem to understand that. Thank you. And yes, we can tell that you are talented simply by what you do in each little blurb! Now I'm interested in purchasing a Deepmind 12 because of what I've heard on your video. I can't say that about the ones I've heard up until now. Also Thank you for not giving us 15 minutes of commentary on how you like or dislike about the synth! A lot of people simply trash any Behringer product out there because they are going to put a dent into every expensive synth company out there! Now we see that we DON'T HAVE TO spend thousands of dollars to have a great sounding, quality analog synth! I hope Behringer can take enough of the market share of these other companies that make it impossible for us everyday, hard working musicians who make little money playing out every weekend and work jobs that don't allow us to spend that kind of money. So if you don't make that kind of money, or have a rich relative that can allow us to join your exclusive club, you can't have one of our synths. Can't wait for the clone of the Oberheim OB-XA! The UB-XA should put Dave Smith on notice! Thank you Mr. Smith for pricing us out of your club! Behringer will rectify that situation! Sorry for the rant! Geese! I didn't have any pent up anger there! I apologize. Thank you for a great informative video that told me all I needed to know about this synth! I plan on picking one up because of your video. I love my DM12, but I definitely think that factory patches are mostly horrible. There are just a few nice and usable patches in Bank A. The rest of them, are pure cr*p. But, come on, we can always find a way to make our own patches :)

Of Behringer's new line of synths I have the DM12D, Model D, Crave, & Neutron. The Deepmind is by far the most fun of all of these synths IMO, it sounds really great especially for the price that I got it at. I bought R angle audio and power chords so that I could put it on my rack. I love that Behringer is doing inexpensive remakes of classic synths that many of us have drooled over for years, but I look forward to more of their original synths like Deepmind and Neutron.

I have your book open right now only with an ASM Hydrasynth. I can just dial in your recipes. I also combined a couple of semi-modular synths with some eurorack units yesterday to create my first eurorack set up. And now I'm just ploughing through your book, recipe by recipe. It's great. There aren't a whole lot of books out there that get into sound design. I am new to all this and had no knowledge of music theory or sound design before six months ago. Your book has been a great way to get into it.
