My grandparents were all Finnish and settled in North east Minnesota USA in the early 1910s . I appreciate seeing this part of Finland. And since moose are very prevalent in my part of Minnesota , seeing you get of the snowmobile to face a moose my eyes bulged and jaw hang open! I have had an encounter with a mother moose and her calf crossing a creek many years ago while in a canoe with 2 small boys . They are THE most dangerous animal in many northern states! you may have been fortunate because their eyesight is very poor that it didn't come at you!

Here in Colorado, we have red rocks amphitheater, and I love climbing the stairs there, and also just getting out and hiking or biking.

This is a goal of mine, but being in May might be too early in the season for me. I live in the USA, Colorado specifically, so we have plenty of events here, but this one has always intrigued me.

Moral of this story - clearly do it with a support vehicle in tow so you're not carrying anything other than the essentials of water and food for that day's cycle.

Well done girls ... great series of films. I've done several coast to coasts but this one is definitely my favourite. As you say, so much variation. I'm surprised you commented on the 'climbs' near the start but never even gave a mention to those out of Garrigill or out of Stanhope. I thought they were BRUTAL !

Day 2 was horrendous. That hill between Garrigill and Nenthead was a killer. To make the day worse i smashed my knee off the floor at the start of the last climb at Stanhope. Had to walk up most of it

Which month you did this climbing ?

Cool video, I completed this in glorious weather in April, wild camped for 4 nights, self supported. Truly the most breathtaking place I've ever ridden a bike. It had everything!! Memories forever. Well done, great effort. 👍👍🚲💪
