The main problem with pre-built/store bought PC's usually is the motherboard. They are not designed for 'future proofing' because they obviously want you to buy another PC in 2 to 3 years time. I know you are referring to pre-built PC's that are now a couple of years old, but I think it's important to note that anyone planning on buying a pre-built PC at this current point in time (October 2024), or planning on upgrading a PC that is a couple of years old, will be limited when/if they upgrade to the next gen GPU's early next year because the motherboard will very likely be PCIe 4.0 and the new GPU's are going to be PCIe 5.0. Yes, you can still connect a PCIe 5 GPU into a PCIe 4 slot, but you won't be getting the full bandwidth leading to less performance of what the GPU is capable of. And even though it can be somewhat rare, some of the pre-built PC's have motherboards made specifically for the pre-built, meaning the BIOS for the motherboard can be very limiting, so you will be very restricted in what CPU and Memory you can use. So yes, I totally agree that there is always the option to upgrade your pre-built PC, but I think it's important to understand that pre-built PC's are built in a specific way to limit the upgrade path. And not to mention 99% of manufacturers will void your warranty the moment you change a component (guaranteed to void your warranty if you go changing the PSU), so make sure your PC is out of its warranty period before doing anything to it. In saying all of that.. If you can upgrade, and the upgrade meets your needs and you're not too worried about the limited upgrade path, I say go for it!

Anker has the absolute worse privacy policy I have ever read. My version has a blutooth feature that helps you find your unit if lost. I downloaded the app. I dont usually read privacy policies but my spidey senses were tingling so i did this time. It basically sais that you have no privacy at all, they will access any and all data on your phone (without exception) and sell it to whoever they choose. So, i still love the battery unit and charger base, but I deleted the app without agreeing to anal probe.

missing driver problem

The app is terrible. Every cycle takes 2-3hrs regardless of which cycle, even with half loads - stupid AI. Delayed End - doesn't even allow users to set a delayed End and turning off the machine (like a standby) - it has to be on (e.g. loading washing night before. And set it to be done before I go work the next morning).

Does it have a drum light?

My experience was with 12900k a770: its ok until its not, like the new warhammer when it came out. Sold my entire desktop since someone offered good money for my 12900k to replace their broken 14700k and just use my framework 16 for now. as for which brand to go? its all down to price to performance really, here in the US I think used 3090s look really good right now microcenter sells them for $699, enough vram to last awhile while being cheaper than a 7900xtx or 4090, the 7900XT looks great as well seen it as low as $599 not sure whats a good price there just set a budget and buy whatever works better in what you play

5:54 - no, you couldn't have captured it "right on the PC" unless you used intel QuickSync Video, as the RX 6400 lacks video encoding capability. I mean, that's an option, though. QSV doesn't look as nice as NVENC, but it'll work. It would have avoided the lag that an external encoder introduces, and would have created minimal load (if any). IIRC it requires a monitor connection (a VGA or DP cable to your monitor will work, or maybe a dummy plug - the output doesn't really need to be utilized per se) to trick the system into enabling the iGPU in order for QSV to work. I ran my system like that so I could stream when I had a GT 1030 in it (which also lacks an encoder). All that being said, your Afterburner overlay is terrible; can barely see the FPS numbers the font is so tiny. Please customize it to something... better. Bigger. And the pixelation in your game capture is because you've got your capture device set to too low of a bitrate. I could see doing that if you're livestreaming and your upstream bandwidth is limited, so it doesn't overrun it. But this is obviously an offline production. What are you afraid of, burning storage? Not like it's not dirt cheap nowadays. Please, increase it, for the love of quality. Then you won't have to make excuses.
