do you think we’d be more sympathetic to Light if we didn’t know exactly what he was thinking?

If Death Note didn’t have internal monologue, I feel like some scenes would be more intense, some funny, or some just being very awkward

If death note was like this It would be way more unsettling

Now, it feels like "Monster."

It's honestly impressive how much is conveyed with just his actions and reactions. I think the show might have been better off if the audience was left to figure things out!

This is so much more mentally engaging to watch, it makes you feel more intelligent as a viewer thinking through all the things going through his head. It’s like the director’s cut of Blade Runner

My father is in idiot he couldn’t recognise my oldest siblings I hate how everyone have a normal father except me I literally have no emotional or empathy to him even when his leg was broken I didn’t feel anything

now imagine without music and more realistic environemnt/ambient sounds, and more realistic shots . itd be so fun to watch

It wasn’t too late at that point to turn back destroy the notebook or whatever. It was the moment light wrote a second name down later in the story that there was no going back

this is so much better. I hate the deluge of exposition that basically chews and digests what I see and vomits it directly into my mouth. let me chew on it myself, I wish to find out what kind of person he is by seeing him act not hearing him tell me.

Death note really made me realise that YOU can’t erase your enemies, you have to live with them being around, imagine you have writes their name in the death note, and they say “sorry” starts being friendly for 40 seconds and then they just die, you realised you had an opportunity to be friends with long lost enemies, this is why I think death note teaches a LESSON
