I watched this video as soon as it came out and when I heard all of the songs it made me comeback. I have watched that video four times😭. The reason why is because I’m amazed by how good it is. The songs are perfect, the storyline. I am so sad the next video is the last of this series. Thank you for this amazing, beautiful, and wonderful track of music. It brings back all of the nostalgia and awesome times. For the last time thank you so much❤️.

It's great, but the only downside with those chord progression tools I find is that they are always deccorelated from the melody note. The whole purpose of chord progression is to support and enrich the melody. Therefore having a tool where you can set the melody note and have all the chords name adjust by taking into account this extension is a must for me

His soundtrack in Love Live SIP is hands down, one of the most underrated soundtracks in anime. It's limited usage of instruments yet subtle and sentimental melody is so effective that even 7 years after I watched the anime, It still burns into my memory.

Hey Gavin, nice work. I’d like to raise an issue here. One of the main point in Kayano’s book is to trying not to explain J Music with conventional western labels and although it may be a bit daunting in the beginning, I think that the method she suggest is pretty effective. So why are you not using it here? Trying to analyze this piece with the conventional western method isn’t a bit missing the point? If you noticed, in all the example you bring, every new tonality stars with IV. Considering the Multipolar Tonality theory, isn’t it better to label those starting chord I and look for the fluctuations in the following chords? Otherwise the result is just analyzing modulation without key changes in the score.

the little pedal sounds at the starts is so thoughtful I wouldnt even think of adding that in but it makes the piece so much more ''real'' edit : also, crazy harmony like what are those chords I dont even know how you learn to use those chords or if you jsut experimented but they work so well

this gives such a studio ghibli vibe but its also unique.. This also kinda motivates me to get back to one of my dreams of being a composer honestly. anyways you definitely deserve some recognition one day, good luck with it
