I like your voice man -- i know this video is mad old, but your voice sounded very handsome in this video
Thank you ever so much.
Muy buena explicacion y muy buen ingles. Yo soy tenor y en las mañanas mu voz es un poco mas profunda, asi que me gusta jugar a Crooning. Segun entiendo lo que dices aquí, eso no es recomendable?
A great sample of vocal fry was Robert Goulet amazing sound in all his vocal range. Some singers have their vocal resonance more pronounced than others its dependent on the facial cavity, but you can improve your resonance using the lower sound like erute and start from that note doing scale of third up and down trying to maintain the same erute sound in the upper notes and after repeated 20 or 30 time the same scale up and down you gonna notice some changes in the sound a little forward and more resonance in your face mask
HZ UN VIDEO DEL TEMA EN ESPAÑOL WERO??? si ya lo tienes me lo podrias decir???
enjoyed listening to this ive recently started singing again over Christmas. sitting down to sing for web cam although not the best. thanks for the video subscribed, have a happy new year
Good video.I sing lead in Barbershop. We dont have any use for fry.we are always trying for those magic overtones.Ive heard some vocal coaches say fry can help the voice too repair after a long session of singing ,you seem to say it could damage or hinder the upper range.
Hello there!!! Well vocal fry is considered by many voice doctors a sign of vocal health. What is really vocal fry? Vocal fry is the simplest of vocal fold vibration and thus it can help repair coordination of damaged golds or its function thereof. Uses? Well to be honest, vocal fry is an element present through out the entire range. It basically “zips up” the vocal folds for voice production. A more direct use would be as I explain in the vid: Voice coloring and lower register. As with everything: Abusing anything could be damaging. In the case of vocal fry I very much doubt that It could be damaging, but hey! Everybody is entitled to his/her own opinion. This is an old video and an old channel: if you are looking for more in depth vocal tips try: @Melocchimaster. Enjoy Barbershop! It is fun! Greetings!!!
@@rafaelvazqueztenor Thanks for your nice reply.you have a top voice good luck with your own singing
Please let me know if you have any treatment for vocal cord paralysis.
1.5x
Will this help me sound a bit better when i sing?
You have a really nice voice, but the vibrato is a little heavy for crooning.
Have you ever heard the inkspots?
Hola amigo yo canto mucho y de un tiempo acá me e notado ke el musculo Esternocleomastoideo de mi parte derecha me molesta un poco, noto como tensión al cantar en esa zona, con este ejercicio tendré alivio??
This has been the best example I have seen. Thanks so much!!
Life Rivers Thank you ever so much! Glad it helped. Sorry for the eternal delay in answering 🤪
Do this also helps for vocal damage..?
Jeugenlien Stuart yes
What is the name of the song at the beginning? Great vid btw
HI! I'm a singer and was diagnosed with soft vocal nodules in early July of 2015. I went to a speech pathologist and that helped for a little but I've started experiencing vocal issues again at the beginning of this year. I haven't had the chance to visit the ENT to get everything scoped out again but I know nodules haven't fully gone away yet. Will these exercises help eliminate the nodules?
jk much love
can this exercise help my disphonia?
Yes indeed. Disphonia is a non pathological condition that affects phonating muscles. Usually it is provoked by misuse or overuse of these muscles. Anything helping these muscles relax could provide relief. Thank you and good luck!
I just discovered you. I like your video. If I sent a cover I am doing when finished would you consider listening to it and give you opinion? Kindly thank you
Sorry for the delay. By all means do so. Greetings!
Will do as soon as I can. Thank you kindly
Raf, you need to lose the shirt - wouldn't want to get oil on that collar.
Hahahaha!!! I am flattered!!! Thank you!!
you beat me to it!
Very good explained, thank you!
Thank you very much, very helpful!
You are very welcome!

You know what you're talking about. Thanks for the video.
I had a kind of dangerous sergury in my neck.. i removed thyroid, para-thyroid and lemph. is it gonna be ok to make this kind of massage? its not gonna hurt it?
I would consult a physician prior to attempting any manipulation around the affected area. My humble opinion.
muscle tension due to inappropiate techniques of learning to sing for over an year. Have an extreme tension, specially felt when i swallow, sing or speak but neither pain nor any physical damage. Will these help to ease the tension? I always feel like carrying a weight and feel a tenderness on my right side when i massage.
Most definitely. Go for it!
+Rafael Vazquez Sir, for how long should i do and for how many days a week ?
You can perform this routine daily for about 10 minutes at a time. I believe this would be enough to begin with.
Ok,sir. I am a 3 years old patient of this strain and i experience fatigue most of the time with my high notes replaced by ghost notes. The total infrastructure is stiff.Been to a plethora of SLP s and ENTs but of no use since no physical damage. Let me continue with this, I cannot actually find a way out.
+Ayan Saha I wish you all the very best. Let me know if I can help. Greetings!
Sure thing! This can be done daily. Enjoy!!
Is this good for tight muscles in the throat that affect speaking? Is it safe to do it everyday ?
Uptown funk Absolutely! There is no danger unless you apply way too much strength whilst you manipulate your muscles etc... Happy singing!
¡BRAVO!
Great and nice video... and really useful! And not only for singers, is quite effective if you've been overusing your voice (speaking other language...teaching...). It's a pleasure follow your steps!!!!
Thank you ever so much. I hope it did help you out!
Thank you very much! I am glad it helped! Sorry for the delay but since I retired, life has been kind of “complicated”. Happy singing!
Hello! Thank you for your comment. Yes, you are right, some people will attempt forcing their voices or driving them into certain regions of their anatomy which would lead into a forced or overpressed phonation. What I mean with "adding" resonance to the voice is "waking" up different sensations that would color it therefore giving it different textures. I believe we have all suffered from driving the voice one way or another at some point. Good remark!
Very clear explanation but I worry about saying that the resonance is added to the voice.Might this not lead to people trying to feel forced resonance in the face the head etc ? I suffered from this for many years.
