Hey no idea if you still check this but I thought I'd try, I just tried downloading the game and it's asking for a CD in the disk drive lol. Any way around the CD check?
It can be a little fussy sometimes. Try these things or combinations of them: Run in compatibility mode for Windows 98 / Windows Me. -Run in reduced color mode (16-bit) -Run in 640 x 480 resolution -Run as administrator
@Bookr No luck. I can get it to open no problem, it's only after the game is launched that it asks for the disk. Where did you download the game? Might be the installation I'm using
Iv just been down a long path of nostalgia watching this. I used to play Bash Arena, Velocity X, World Race, Stunt Track Challenge all the time. Also played Lego Racers 2, City Racing, Cars and The Simpsons Hit and Run. All these games will have a special place in my heart

@@Lionfish5656 Just downloaded it and played it. I just tried it via my desktop shortcut and it works just fine on Windows 11
how does the krazy 8s glitch work?
If you mean how to use it even though it's locked, I just navigate over to it so it's selected and then hit enter in order to load the level. I don't recall it working if you mouse click on start level.
So many childhood memories with this game. I think I got it from a Scholastic Book Fair in Elementary School or from Walmart. I remember struggling to unlock a lot of the cars, especially the cars with the gold and silver cups. I remember a glitch where you could use locked cars by selecting them and pressing the Return key and getting the traffic cones stuck in the Mars Base level.
Same oh my gosh!!! I remember discovering that bug and thinking i was a god level hacker 😂😂😂😂

When i first played this game i discovered a glitch: if you press enter when choosing the car (i think) you can use locked cars. I'm not exactly sure that this was the right way, it's been so long

@@bookr1 good luck! as I said sorry if it doesn't work, I was like 8 yrs old when I did it and don't remember the exact way
@@zuupocmen I just tried this out and it checks out. I am able to play courses with locked vehicles, but if I change vehicles once I've done this I think the game realizes and then locks this ability until I restart the game. Probably more useful for the any% category cause I can just beat all the courses with the best car. I guess 100% would benefit too, but we'll see.

i noticed in the cup runs you were able to walk out ezpz once you got em but when you got to Mars Base you had to eliminate the Cabin Fever trucks. Was that necessary to complete the level or could it have been done faster by just quitting the match?
No, it's not necessary, but I figured it's worth my time to stay in and get those points. Destroying all those trucks is a quick way to get me closer to the point goal to complete the game.
@@bookr1 that makes a lot of sense! After seeing the 4M grind it became a bit more clear to me. I commented that in the middle of watching the video lmao
I remember playing this game over and over as a kid, along with Velocity X and World Race. I still think this game looks great in terms of graphics. The game was way too easy though and the only obstacle was to grind the 4 million points.
