Hello, our family (2 adults and 2 children) has visas under the Cuaet program: worker and visitor. We did not enter Canada until 03/31/2024. We are planning to enter Canada soon. Do we able to get a work permit permit at the airport if we will enter after March 31, 2024? What are the entry conditions for Ukrainians after March 31, 2024?

I came to Canada as an International student back in 2016. I completed my 4 years in the Bachelor of Business Administration program from a Canadian University in 2020. After graduation, I obtained a 3-year post-grad work permit in 2020. Since then I have been working in the financial industry. I worked as an Accounting technician . I have been contributing to the Canadian economy and labor market since 2016. My wife also came to Canada on an open work permit. She is also working and contributing to the Canadian economy and labor market. My post-graduation work permit is going to expire in February 2024. I couldn't become a permanent resident because when I became eligible for the CEC express entry pool, there were no draws. The express entry draws were on hold for more than 1.5 years. Also, I missed the TR-PR pathway program in 2021 as the application quota filled up within 24 hours of the start of the stream. The express entry draw resumes recently but the CRS cut-off score is so high, above 500 in every draw. There is some targeted occupation draw for STEM, TECH, Healthcare, Trade, and Agriculture which requires low CRS scores but nothing for Financial/accounting-related occupations. Furthermore, people who have their work permits expired between 2022-2023 got an additional 18 months of extension. Unfortunately, I don't fall into those category as my work permit is going to expire in February 2024. I really wish now that my work permit expires in 2023 I could have also gotten the extension for another 18 months. . I came to Canada with a lot of hope and dreams. I have been living in Canada for almost 7 years contributing to the economy. I am pretty sure there are a lot like me who are having the same issues. Considering this situation I really request for an extension to those whose PWGP going to expire in 2024, that would save a lot of people from breaking their hope who are already in Canada and contributing to the labor market. There should be a spearate stream for CEC given the contribution of a international student to the candian labor market. If you can bring people from outside then why not given priority to the people who are already working in Canada and making a diffrence.

Having CEC draws is a fair ask. But the extension is uncalled for. Deserving students will get their PRs if they plan well. New students shouldn't have to compete with people who didn't plan far ahead.

Hii , I got my single applicant ITA from this draw.. my deadline to submit my documents is 4th.. now the agent is telling spouse PCC is mandatory to apply which is not possible now.. I thought for single applicant file only my documents will be needed please guide what can I do further

Now for apply to this H1 based program , can i create another account instead of using the same account which is being handled by my associated for checking Express entry pool updates. I want to keep separate accounts.

Honestly H1Bs have built US, and US treats them like absolute garbage, so its a great move by Canada. This way it can basically get 'trained' professionals who can work for US companies using near-shoring. However most H1B workers wouldn't move to Canada because of fewer opportunities and without any sense of permanency like a green card, it will be a tough decision for them between India and Canada. Moreover, salaries in India have also gone up tremendously in recent years. If Canada changes it to a automatic PR for H1B workers and there actually is a recession in US, Canada's economy is going to see a sudden inflow of high skilled immigrants and about 840B$ (1trillion CAD) of cash from the saving and investments that H1B workers have in US.
