I believe that is the CO2 alarm indicator. Looks like wifi but I saw that on page 5 of the manual.

The device should at minimum emit radio signals and should be "on" in order to get detected.

No, you cannot listen live in the Knight Security small audio recorder.

The battery is not replaceable. Brand new, the battery lasts approximately 9 hours. However, over time, how long the battery lasts will depend on how frequently the monitor is used (while running on battery). For example, leaving the monitor running all day every day on battery will lead to a much shorter battery life while turning it off at night and when it’s not needed (as we recommend to do) will help to preserve battery life. Lastly, the charging time is about 5 hours.

Hi Kendra, the brightness of the screen cannot be adjusted.

There's only 1 way to find out.

It needs to be connected to a computer or laptop instead of a tablet. It is possible that the tablet does not have the notepad application which is why it is not showing up.

An you please help. My voice recorder is no longer working. When it is time to listen to the recording it is asking me to insert a disk into USB Drive. This is new to me.

This device is a standalone product and does not have any wireless connections. Therefore, no app can be associated with the AirKnight air quality monitor.

No, they are not. The little face emojis do change color depending on the noise level (quiet, loud, very loud, etc) though.

You should not have to do any recalibration unless you are getting strange readings. The first step recalibration we recommend is just to turn it off and let it sit for 30 seconds and then turn it back on again (if you are getting seemingly incorrect readings).

Thanks for buying a KNIGHT. This is our highest end sweeper. You can spend hundreds for a "higher end" one but the base technology won't be much different than ours.

Hi Jason, the AK1000 CO2 alarm can be turned off by simply double-clicking the left button on the top of the monitor. And, to change the temperature on the AirKnight AK1000 from celsius to fahrenheit , you may press the right button twice quickly (holding the button down for 1 second on the second press).

If that worked for you, great. You just have to give it a long press though. "Long press" it, as some would say.

I did a review of this product on my channel, and found that the buttons are a bit fiddly, and why you had to press it twice, but actually it is just a single press and hold to turn it on. Hope this helps. Also the alarm is very very quiet, and have had comments on my video that the alarm loudness should be put back to where it used to be, and also there is no on-screen indication that the alarm is on or off, while others have suggested that AirKnight should have given Us the ability to turn it up and down as we choose - not take the control away from those of us who are paying for the device. However - this is a great device, but would be better with a few changes. Out of all the monitors that I have reviewed, The AirKnight is my favorite because of the incredible easy-to-read screen from across the room. Love the white text with black background, I wish more companies would make their screens that way.

I just created a video on our channel, showing how to replace the LiPo battery with an 18650 per questions/conversations in the comments. Speaking of the 18650, I really thought that this would hold 2 18650's and it most definitely would if only it was an 1/4 inch taller lol - Wow!, so close to fitting, but just a smidge off, but the single 18650 works beautifully in the device, and other viewers have said that they also would like to see the AirKnight with an 18650 battery option, and also an alarm indicator on-screen, and glad you mentioned buttons, because that has been mentioned as well. I love using the AirKnight in videos when comparing and testing other monitors. ...Changes coming is truly exciting news Jim, and thanks for giving me heads up, much appreciated. 👍

Yes, that's basically how you would interpret it. You don't have to worry about battery running out until you see red.

Is it true you can find cheaper anti spy detectors, but this one has a 2022 upgraded chip set and is more advanced than say, for example the outdated K18 or K88 models. In the end, you get what you pay for.

Hello, here at AirKnight, we believe in keeping air monitoring the simple. Therefore, we do not have a data gathering function or data logging function on our monitors. Additionally precision differs depending on how high the CO2 levels are. Sometimes, our devices may be within a +-50 PPM margin or error and sometimes a bit higher. Hope this helps.

No, this product is tailored for an American audience and therefore only has the 12 hour clock.

While it's true that the KT9000 has a higher end sensor in addition to higher end materials and features (i.e. metal vs. plastic exterior, longer detection range, etc.) when compared to the KT8000, the KT9000 did hit the market sooner. No, this product currently has not option to adjust the screen brightness.

This had the same effect on me. Seemed amateurish.

The 2 best ways are to 1. take it outside and let any accumulated particles / fumes out or 2. Turn it off and turn it back on again.

I am thinking of getting the KT9000 (because of the more advanced and sensitive sensors), but if I were to do a review of this product, I would definitely have someone place cameras and gps devices in locations unknown to me, and then try to find them - I believe that would be the best way to review a product like this - and also more convincing to a potential buyer (but only in my opinion). I only wish that they could have made the KT9000 look as cool as the KT8000 model as mentioned by OrigineSoul (with the built-in camera detector). The KT9000 looks a bit amateurish as opposed to the KT8000 - also having to carry around another smaller device for camera detection (that could easily get lost if dropped) is not very comforting. However, if it comes in a nice case - then that would make it a bit more secure and comforting (in my opinion). If I get this, I will be doing a review on my channel, using it at a motel - that would be even cooler LOL. I am getting ready to do a review of the AirKinght 9-in-1 air quality monitor that these guys make, but am waiting on another monitor to arrive that I will be comparing it with - hopefully this week, and that is going to be an exciting video to do, and am also doing a tear-down of the AirKnight 9-in-1 as well. Also jh6392, if you email or call this company, they have incredible customer support, and will be able to answer any questions that you may have.

This is where my desire to purchase was lost. Having to turn the calibration up after getting close to the known device, doesn't give me confidence. I would have bought this immediately if he would have shown it beeping before turning it down. Obviously a red flag.

The nature of the gas sensor requires a larger amount of electricity (as opposed to a smoke alarm, for example) and therefore must have a constant source of electricity to function.

Shaun, the KT9000 is more powerful and advanced. The KT8000 is not more expensive though. It's cheaper at $69.99. We prefer the KT9000 as it's more professional.

@@knight9602 I guess I was mistaken on the product model numbers somehow. Last question: Why do you say the 9000 is more professional? I think the 8000 looks more like its worth $130 than the 9000 does. If there is an actual difference, I'll order the 9000 right now.

@@MoorAndMoreNetwork the KT9000 has higher quality sensors which give it a stronger RF detection capability and also more sensitive magnetic detection capability than the KT8000. Also, the KT9000 is made of metal while the KT8000 is plastic.
