The Sport hatch dynod at 332 whp, the Si most likely lands around 350 whp due to having a better fuel system.

The civic is fine. But I parted out and sold some of the parts including the turbo kit.

Flex fuel kit allows tuning with the flex fuel tables enabled. For example, if you are tuned for pump gas you can only run pump gas on that tune, same goes for being tuned for lets say E40 (40% ethanol) you can only run E40, not pump gas not E30 not E20 etc. now if you have a flex fuel kit and you are flex fuel tuned let’s say E40 flex fuel, you can run E40, pump gas, E20, E28, E30 etc all in the same tune. It will adjust on its own.

The rv6 jb will spool like a 2860r g2 and the rv6 bb will spool faster than the 2860t g2. In terms of flow if you’re upgrading the fuel system the 2860r g2 will outflow the rv6 by a lot.

@@d0mochi Yeah faster spool will help with the turbo lag and that is something I am looking for instant turbo spoil with improved high end on turbo.

The R660 for the k20c is just a whole different animal for compared to the r365 for the L15. The r365 didn’t look like it made housing diameter changes or at least not much, it’s a good unit but I don’t think it was 400+ whp good. That’s why I ended up with a big frame turbo kit. If I had an FK8 no question I would get the r660.

@d0mochi full frame is always better just more upfront vs typical bolt-on riute that leads to drop in. I'll be going full frame when u build the bottom end and aim for 800whp+ I think stock bottom end is iffy around 650whp L15 with ported head, valvetrain and full frame should see 600whp - ososik keeps messing with nitrous which I would avoid but he's chasing a number so I get it. I think a g25-660 on an L15 would be fun

Nah, the car was e tuned about a year ago. I just went to a shop to dyno it to see how much it makes.

@@d0mochi oh that's what it's called e tune? Did you have stock turbo when you first got it e tuned?

@@LynnDisclose no, when I had it e tuned I was on an upgraded turbo pure450 then I switched to the garrett 2860r and got it e tuned again. There are plenty of good off the shelf tunes for the stock turbo from TSP and Phearable, I would suggest just getting those if you’re only sticking to the stock turbo.

@@d0mochi I have fk7 I am going to put 3inch front pipe on it soon, I noticed I deleted the mufflers and put a 2.5 inch piping from resonator to tips it got faster I guess because mufflers caused back pressure. That k&n filter probably helped too though. But if get mods you got on yours put on mines I'll be pretty quick

@@LynnDisclose not necessarily true, the Si is also capable of the same mods and will make a little more power on this same setup. If an Si was to go on this same dyno using the same setup it would probably hit 350+

IMO a stock turbo especially on ethanol is harder on the engine than let’s say an rv6 turbo on ethanol, despite the latter making more power. Maybe another reason my engine is still running is because I never put it on an ethanol tune on stock turbo.

@@sapphire_m340 I noticed the Phearable ethanol tunes have the torque a little later especially on the non Si coming in around 42xx rpm vs the Si version of the same tune coming in at 37xx rpm. The TSP stage 2 on the Si would make the full 320 wtq at around 31xx rpm. My set up right now made 314 torque at 44xx rpm.

@@sapphire_m340 it’s good for both L15BA and L15B7 alike, though the B7 have stronger rods they’re still both weak. Your future higher flowing turbo setup plan will help with that.

I never had issues, yet. But I wouldn’t say I’m not worried about it cause I am lol. That would probably be sometime soon and I will be doing the 1 stud at a time method. I’m still on the OEM shocks paired with Eibach springs, I bet your car feels great around the corners.

@@d0mochi The B4's took away the bounciness from the oem shocks paired with just the eibachs, now it's super smooth and composed over mid corner bumps etc. Also please do a detailed video on the "1 stud a time" method when you decide change them. keep up the great content! hardly anyone vlogs fk7 builds

@@terryl9996 I was also debating on going for a full coilover set. Maybe something like HKS. The body roll on the FK7 is crazy lmao. I will be doing the OEM Type R middle brace as well.

@@d0mochi Apparently the hks's are the best for our car but I just can't justify the astronomical price, I'd rather go bc racing or ktuned to save a 1000 usd haha. I got the eibach sway bars with whiteline links for the body roll and set the rear to stiff so the back end rotates nicely! the rear brake vectoring almost never kicks in anymore, when they warped & wore out before the fronts prior to the sway bars

Lol yeah i probably won’t be spending anymore on this car power wise cause I’m at the point of diminishing returns. I’ll move on to a different platform power wise like an F22 m240i and just keep the civic on the side the way it is now.

Relax. It’s a straight road with ONE WAY IN secluded in the desert. The road was scouted to check if there are others that may come out before all the races started.

Your stock clutch will be ok until you start messing with ethanol. As long as you’re bot flooring it below 4000 rpm from 3rd gear and up.

@@d0mochi can you do these mods in just a CVT automatic and still get a lot of horsepower or you can only get a lot of horsepower out out of the manual

Haven’t dynoed but my guess will be around 320 whp. Car is still on the non Si fuel system.

There’s some used kits floating around, saw one on civicx forums for a 2860r and it was a good deal.

Type R OEM exhaust is very quiet

The 11th gen civic L15CA have bigger rod bearing journals if anything it should be a tad bit stronger than the 10th gen L15B7

@@d0mochi nah, look up ososik, or put in 11thgen si vs. 11thgen type r. The 11thgen si motor blew while being tracked when pushed.The guys will tell you they say the 10thgen is stronger because when they loaded the 11thgen up with power 300+ with power flex fuel kit and all, it blew the motor. But with the 10thgen Civic si they loaded it up with 500+ horsepower and it lasted even while it being tracked. So they came to a conclusion that the 11thgen Civics appears weaker. Now the 11thgen type r year that's powerful, it's made to push.

@@LynnDisclose a 300 hp L15 which is probably on ethanol stock turbo, 10th gen or 11th gen will blow especially on a road race course. I hope you realize how hard it is on the engine to be road raced where it’s constantly being beaten on the whole few minutes it’s being raced including hard downshifts, you can’t compare that to Eman’s 10th gen Si making 460 whp on a stock engine that only does pulls here and there

@@d0mochi the 11thgen si I'm talking about was not stock turbo, I'm meaning fully modified cars 10thgen and 11thgen , but even ethanol on stock 10th gen will last longer. I'm saying on the 11th gen the power blew the motor more easily, but the 10th gen upheld the power without braking. Like some 10th gen get over 600 hp and the motor still not blown. It probably will happen, eventually, but the 11th gen blows way before all that power. But the 11thgen type r can be pushed and abused and won't brake.

@@d0mochi but they saying they working on a solution to make it hold all that extra power like the 10thgen, because like you say the rods on 11th gen suppose to be stronger than the 10th gen. I know if I get a 11thgen civic, it'll be the type r.

I’m using the down pipe that came with the PRL turbo kit and a stock front pipe

Glad the video helped. I did forget to mention in the video that the rods in the L15BA in the hatch (59B) are weaker than the rods found in the L15B7 non Si and L15B7 si (5PA)
