Is it that much different than living in Canada? I already do all this 😅
g35 brown cheese and a little dab of syrup, nomnomnom.
a for effort on the drinks :D atleast you liked the fish, so thats your xmas dinner. now to make it yourself :D
gotta love americans, enters the room asks a question and leaves :D like ... whaaat?
yea ive never heard anyone flush twice in norway :D our pipes are big. if it breaks, turn the water valve off, so go find that.
You have to let that brown cheese melt on your tongue like chocolate it’s amazing❤
😮 ME NEXT
👍🏼⛷️
Happy New Year. Always looking foreward to another episode.
Happy New Year!
Fun up, fun down. Win-win.
Yep! ⛷️
Not uncommon. Getting stuff to the cabin for Easter with a snowmobile with a sledge and then following behind. Try keeping the balance on cross country skis instead of these :P
Oh that’s sounds scary!
Does one do this in the US ? Thinking about the northern states and Alaska...
It is becoming more popular 👍🏼
You are so brave. Looks like fun.
Thank you so much! I am looking for fastest way to return to Oslo after skiing in Hafjell, as I will be flying from Oslo on the same day. So based on your video it seems I could take taxi from my hotel in Halfjell to the nearest station and get to Oslo by train. Sounds fantastic. I hope I can make it to Oslo by 10am the latest.
You would have to check the train schedule. Sometimes the train does not run south on certain days. Worst case scenario you could take an early bus.
Talk about your monthly income too. Norway pays more salaries
They may pay more salary for regular jobs than across the world however, when it comes to skilled labor, our current experience is that they actually pay less.
I feel this is due to the ceiling that the union creates for certain level positions.
Who ever says Norway does not have good food??? That s just stupid and silly. Norway gots alot of great food.
Just not as many traditional options with spices. Just a different palate.
Enjoyed having Stephanie join you, you should consider doing some more with her.
I agree!! She is great! 🫶🏼
Radon is actually super common in the USA, you just don't know about it because American companies don't test for it. And it's actually why a lot of Americans get lung cancer. It's basically any house on earth that has a basement. It's not a Norway thing, maybe that they're smart
Yeah but still lots of people dying with cancer here. Slower healthcare system. Every country has its’ pros and cons.
hi, how would you think of flamsbana vs raumabanen? Which one is most spectacular?
I cannot compare. I have not taken Raumabanen.
I reckon you were at Folgefonna. Please don't call it Fonna, which means Glacier - so your actually calling it Glacier glacier 😜. Folgefonna translates to Thin Layer Small Glacier from Old Norse "fulga" + "fǫnn"
😂🤦🏻♀️ How did I miss that?! Maybe because of the name of the resort is Fonna Glacier Resort on google maps?! Kind of like chia tea! 🤣 Thanks for letting me know.
Congrats!! You're doing very good ❤❤❤
Thanks!
@heatherabroad Hey! I want to live in Norway in the future! So I was wondering...how did you learn Norwegian? And, if you think about something people that are gonne live in Norway...what would those things be? Please tell me ❤️
Thats very good😅 Im also from norway
Takk thanks for watching!
About the validation for trying. If I get you right you were at a store buying clothes right? Please remember that they are store employees and doing their jobs. It's nothing personal, it's the culture and professionalism. If you directly ask someone "hey, I'm new in Norway and got invited to 'name the type of party'. I want to dress appropriately but are not sure whether this is too formal, too casual or fitting. Do you mind giving me your opinion? It would be very much appreciated" then I can almost guarantee they would be glad to give you the feedback you wanted, regardless of them working there or even shopping there themselves. But expecting them to validate you out of the blue just for buying clothes for the occation is not a normal thing in Norway. Remember these guys are employees which probably is payed minimum wages and not your friend. If you want that kind of validation then you probably should have brought someone you knew.
Thanks for the advice! I have found the more specific I am with my request, the more help I get. I think early on my insecurities with the new language and culture made this experience seem more impactful than it would be now.
Hiking on Fonna Glacier in Norway looks like an epic summer adventure. I enjoy following your outdoor explorations! 💖
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching!
Interesting. We used to have turkey on New Year's Eve, stuffed with apples and prunes, served with Brussels sprouts and gravy...
Wonderful Like 24 !
This looks like a great adventure my friend! Amazing scenery, just wow 😮
Thanks for watching! Your videos definitely have next level cinematography! 💞
Love watching the kids figure out the ice cleats! This was very interesting and entertaining.
😂 they told us to march when we walked to make it easier for the cleats to grab. Keller did it well!
Those kids impress me ! 🤗🤗🤗
They are quite the kids! They are so fortunate and don’t even fully understand the opportunities they have had at such a young age. Hopefully it will make them well rounded, mindful adults. Thanks for watching. 😊

Thanks for watching! I am happy there are viewers who look forward to my videos. ❤️
Very good 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thank you!
Hey, just curious about what you think about the bed situation. Does the difference impact your sleep quality in any way?
I will say those beds were not very comfortable for me. But we did have our bed shipped here and I am glad that we did.
@ aha, yes these things can be tricky.

Are you going to join the record attempt at Ølberg? It's the 14th of december at 10.00. Last year about 260 people participated, standing record is 395.....
So… I am leaning towards doing it! 🥶 have you done it before?!
@@heatherabroad As I said, too cold. As I kid I didn't care... If you do it, it would be nice with a full video on the event....
@@Lassisvulgarisah I read you other comment as if you only swam when the water cold and not during the warmer water time. Backwards, sorry 🤦🏻♀️. But that’s a great idea. I will definitely try to do a full length vlog style video if I do the plunge. More motivation to make more videos. 😅
@heatherabroad Good luck!
@@heatherabroad Saw in the paper that 2500 people attended. Hope you were there, and recorded it.....
Great to see you - lookin' great!
Thank you!
Pls, avoid cold plunges. Its stressful. You age more, you will get wrinkles faster.
Hmm I haven’t heard that before. 🤔
This is so cool! I'm glad you are sharing your experiences with us! I'm scared of cold plunging, but heard a lot a great things about it!
@sheshallbeclever The great things are related to stress. Endorphins. Which make you alert and later happy as a response to stress. The mood enhancement after a cold plunge is a result of you no longer being in cold plunge, making your body relieve.
@@sheshallbecleverthanks for watching!
Yeeeesssss!!!
Plus, you have a cold so you have no idea what anything tastes like good girl
It’s like you should not be the one tasting all them drinks if you hate them all
Yeah! Maybe you are right. My taste buds are cut out for it! 😅
It’s like you should not be the one tasting all them drinks if you hate them all
Yeah.. you might be right. 😅 I don’t have the taste buds for overly sweet drinks anymore.
