That isn't salmon my guy
Really??? Could you tell me what it is please?
I've never been fishing in Australia 😂.. But that looks like a mullet Edit : there are some sea run trout that might make it down there? We call them coasties cause they follow coast lines... Definitely not a salmon 😊 Maybe I don't know what you call salmon... 😮
@C.W-p8w understand 👍 yeah, this is called Australian Salmon - Arripis Trutta. The juveniles are called Salmon Trout. It's a very common surf fish and extremely popular to catch. A totally different species to Atlantic Salmon 😊👌
@@escapekat8860 they are fun to catch here... I know that much 🙂👍
Also I'm in the pacific so... I only catch Chinook, Coho, and every two years the pinks... And the coasties
Its so beautiful there!
It was amazing! 🤩
That looks like so much fun!😊
It was very challenging and heaps of fun!! 👌
good on you guys.
@markoneill9064 Cheers! Wish I could be out fishing everyday! ... Who evented "work"?!? ... 😆👌👍

Finally... evidence that fish actually do get away... and here i thought it was all fisherman's tales 🤣👅❤️

Beautiful opening shot. : )B
Thanks so much! I had to change a few things, so think I've got it right on this vid 😀👍
Good fishing session good to see the girls out enjoying the fishing😎 Just curious to know ur rod an reel set up?
@chris21979 thanks! My reel is a Penn Slammer 8500 with 40lb mono (I normally use 20lb, but just upgraded for my next fishing trip) and the rod Abu Garcia Veritas 4.0 10ft surf. 👌
Sooooo sexist. Loved the morning shot and the footprints in the sand.
@tedvaneeten9978 thanks!!! 👍
That was very enjoyable. Great close-up footage of the Echidna. You have a new subscriber. Cheers
@petermiller9115 thanks! Yeah, the echidna was very friendly! 👍❤️
Not bad
@@robmatson5908 cheers!! Thanks 👍
You have to go to Alaska and fish for steelhead and king Salmon.
Oooohh yeah!!! I would LOVE that!!! One day, when i have enough $$, I'll do the Pacific Crest Trail then continue upwards towards Alaska!! My perfect dream!! 👌👌👌@ChrisMorin-qc8ml

@paulschofield2630 lol!!! It's practical Matey!! That's what girls do 👍😆
My friends in Geelong own a tackle shop and fish were you are, best salmon 😋 was 11 kilo!! WTF was mounted on the wall ❤😊
@@paulschofield2630 Nice!!! 👍👍
Burly bag pegged into the surf will bring quality fish 🐟 👌 to your area ❤😊
@paulschofield2630 totally agree 👍
Great rod and real, after use, wash in fresh water ,all gear and store away from sun ,oil reel every few hours of using ❤😊
Absolutely!! Couldn't agree more! 👍❤️
Have you got a rod holder? Cheapest Bunnings white pipes 50mm ,cut a point 30 to 40 inches long, keeping all gear away from sand 😊
Absolutely, have 2... forgot to take them down to the beach with me ... 😞😆👍
Good tip for new fishers! 👍👍
Well done 🫡 Where is the location?
@nasjawid659 thanks! 👍 Locks well Beach, south Australia ❤️
Nice catch and cook. I lived in SA for a few years but didn't get there. Was based around Adelaide mostly. Subbed for more down-to-earth experiences like this.
Thanks so much Matey!! Heading off West soon, so hopefully another fishing vid in a few weeks. Until then I'll be posting another hiking one! Cheers! 👍😊
Wow, it looks sooo beautiful! Thank you for sharing ❤
@messy2mastery thanks so much! I'm hoping to go back to Tassie soon, back to the Walls again, but follow a different trail next time. Hopefully vid will be out end of January 👍👍
Awesome!😁💪🏼 New subscriber from Cape Town, South Africa🎣🎣
Thanks Matey!! Really appreciate it. Just checked out your page - can't wait to watch all your vids and get some great tips 👌 ❤ from Australia 👍

@@PIEDPIPER420 get over there! Late winter is the best time for really big buggers, but they are there all year round 👍
@@escapekat8860 can't wait love the channel by the way 🥹

Nice to visit Leven canyon again, and owww yes, the rope.
@coffeetwosugarswithhikingb4180 it certainly is a beautiful place. I'm going back at the end of the year to, hopefully, complete the last 2 days 👍
Love the sound track. What is it plz ?
I actually don't know... it was just something random and free from youtube. But I could find out for you 👍
This is great. What was your total pack weight plz?
@@ABCABC-fn4fg I normally don't bother about weight as I take what I need. But I reckon it was around 15kg. 👍
How did I not know about this trail! Thanks for sharing, definitely added to the list 👍
@@katndom it's a fantastic little trail, I hope you really enjoy it! 👍❤️
Be safe have fun!❤
@ChrisMorin-qc8ml it was fun, and very challenging 👌
That looked amazing. Some serious traversing there! I would even maybe consider maybe braveing the leech demons to do that walk.
Well... hey! We might finish it this Dec/Jan... just 2 days👌❤️
TARDIS! Doctor??
Lol!! Wondering when somebody would notice! It's actually a little community library.... no Daleks in sight 😂😂
Beautiful walking tour🎉❤
Well done Kat and Jason regards Buhd and Halima Rocky and Jack.
@willian.direction6740 thanks guys!! Next project will be compiling our Tassie adventures 👍👌
Thanks Budh, that was a very pleasant hike, love the Glenelg River. Hope you are all well, QLD is sunny and fine 😂👌
That looked arduous!
@curbsidechucky it was tough. I held onto the thought that it's only 3 days and there's a Cafe on day 4 with beer....
... that was type 2 fun, all we needed was the odd rouge wave thrown in for shits and giggles... 🤦♂️😁
@@jasonthompson5256 yep.... it was a real adventure that one!!! 😆👍
Hope you're up for some more giggles and shits?! 👌😆💕
Seriously, what is it with your adventures and it always raining!
lol!! yep... certainly seems that way!
I love the gourmet mushroom packet soup dish!
hehe... thanks, it was very tasty!
That's alotta danger noodles!
yep... 5 in one day! I felt like I was on the set of Indiana Jones!
Great vids! What month did you do your walk?
@@snailtrailshiking thanks!! It was early September, from memory, absolutely freezing cold! I would recommend doing the walk autumn or early winter, not late winter/spring. 👍
@@escapekat8860 We are all set to start ours mid September, guess we better take some extra warm layers! Thanks for the info:)
@snailtrailshiking warm layers for night, yes. But it depends on the weather patterns going through at the time. Just keep an eye on the weather and pack appropriately. We knew that we were in for bad weather, and we had to deal with it. Take some comfort food and treats - that makes everything better! Enjoy you adventure! 👍❤️
I love your travelogue of the Great South West Walk so had to watch this one. Thank you for showing us your journeys & promoting walking
@anthonyhall5058 thanks! The Great Ocean Walk is an amazing adventure, I encourage anyone who is able to walk, even day walks, to do this Trail. It's one of my favourites. 👍
Once again thank you for your travelogue. Not having seen the Lower Nelson River, you have whetted my enthusiasm to walk the Great South West Walk
@anthonyhall5058 thankyou! Part 3 coming out soon.... it's the beach section, which was really difficult. I would suggest hiking the trail in autumn, not late winter or spring 😁👍
Thank you for your travel documentary
@@anthonyhall5058 you're welcome! 👍
Such a good hike, I did it March this year! I can't believe how many snakes you saw in winter! I only saw 4 in total over the entire track (and I was looking for them!)
@alanah9151 yeah, I couldn't believe it! It was only around 14 degrees during the day, pretty cold! They seemed to be sunning in themselves on the track. They were very sluggish and one refused to move! Don't think I'd ever want to do this hike in summer!! Such a beautiful track though, what was your favourite part?
Goes to show they can be around at any time of the year! It was my first solo hike and snakes were my biggest fear going out there. I had one on the track that refused to move too!! I loved it all, but the Glenelg River section was probably my favourite 😍
@alanah9151 good on ya, getting out there by yourself, I've had many years solo hiking. It's great for the soul! My favourite part was the rugged coastline, just loved it! Happy hiking, might see you on the trails one day 👍
Awesome video matey.
Thanks 👍
What a pretty hike! 😍
Thanks Hannah!
Looks like it was an amazing experience! Great job! 💪🏃
Thanks! It certainly was an adventure!
You guys actually catch fish, I need some lessons 😊 good to meet you at Meningie
Great to meet you too! I've been a fan for a while. Loved your murray trip 👌 West Coast... place to be when the temp drops for big Salmon👍 Marion Bay is good too, off the beach for a few nice mullets.
