rotating lazer level is a spectra LL100. the CR600 can be mounted upside down for mounting on the other other side of the dipper arm. just have to make sure the bucket is in the same postion for checking grade.

    Hi, great video! I have been looking for a long time to find a suitable thumb for my TB216. This one seems to do quite well and I am thinking about getting one. I need to move trees, stones and grab brushes. How has your experience been over the past 6 years? Do u still like it? Can you still recommend this thing or is there any better solution on the market? I dont want to go with a grapple, too expensive and I would have to mess around with the quick hitch every time I want to use it. Greetings from Germany!!

    • @lovemud100
      @lovemud100 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, that’s what I use it for. We don’t use it as much as thought we would but when we need it the thumb cuts the job time by 50% or more. Still pleased with it 6 years later. Only negative could be When the thumb is fitted the excavator feels a bit “top heavy” but has always handled it ok. The grip talon is a solid attachment. Yes the grapple looks like it take too long to set up on the excavator. Thank you, Lee

    Hi There, You have miles more experience than me.. How long do you think it would take to did a hole 8 feet long, 6 feet wide, and about 6 feet deep with my Kubota U17?? The thing is about the same size as your takeuchi.. I have to bury a horse....

    • @lovemud100
      @lovemud100 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I would say set a day aside for it to make sure but about 6 hours should do it with back filling as well. We just hired a U17 and it’s a nice machine, very well thought out.

    • @caerleon87
      @caerleon87 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lovemud100 Hi there! Yes, i do like my U17!! I have not done much with it yet to be honest, but it seems all good to me!! I worked out that the hole was about 288 cubic feet, so say 288 bucket fulls to be on the safe side.. I allowed 16 seconds a scoop, and then doubled it as most things i do take me twice as long as i thought!! This works out at 2.6 hours, so your 6 hours seems pretty exact!! I will allow a day though as you say.. What size bucket is that you have on the takeuchi?? Is it 600mm?? I need to do a 600 wide trench for something, but i was a bit worried that a 600mm bucket might be a bit big for my little digger, bit like trying to dig a hole with a grading bucket.. What you think??

    • @lovemud100
      @lovemud100 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      caerleon87 that’s a 600mm bucket I’m digging with there. Got it from digbits. It’s been fine on it and I had it on there with the grader and smaller buckets with no problems at all for 5 years or more. If it’s really hard clay I put the smaller bucket on. The 600mm is our most used as the foundations for buildings require that size. (We’re bricklayers)

      @lovemud100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      caerleon87 hi. It’s been great. It has good battery life and I haven’t jolted it off the digger at all. Works for grading, footings and drainage runs on a angle. (If the laser level can be set for them). Can even use it as a normal receiver for the laser level.

    • @caerleon87
      @caerleon87 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for that!! I have not got much experience with excavators, but i have my own 2 year old Kubota U17. I got it just for my own use here at home, but now a mate of mine wants me to do the footings for his new house. It is on uneven ground [he has a farm] so i thought one of these would be just the thing to get the bottom of the trenches level and flat, the surface of the ground does not matter too much. I thought it would beat the hell out of having them stand there all day with a rod mounted receiver in the usual way.. Love the way you can keep the bucket flat all the time.. Think you might have driven the things once or twice!!

    • @lovemud100
      @lovemud100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      caerleon87 thanks I enjoy driving them. Like getting paid for playing Tonka toys. That’s a very nice machine the kubota. Yes it’s much more productive than having to dip a staff all the time and much safer if it’s deep. It has a few fine and course digging modes on there for different jobs.

      I went out today, well yesterday, and bought one of the CR600 things!! It came today in the post!! It seems very nice though, well pleased i bought it!! On monday now i am going to get a laser to go with it, a leica 640, as i want the feature where you can set out 90 degrees with it. Lot of money though!! Still, it is all free, as the bloke i am doing the footings for is paying to get me them as a prezzy, for doing the footings!! Magnet is well strong as you say, be a job to get it off deliberately, never mind it fall off or move!! See what you mean about the LED's being fine in sunlight, bright is not the word for it. It came with a very nice clamp so you can fit it to a rod as well. Got to be very well worth the £328 it cost!!

    So I want this exhaust. I don't plan to change stock intake, etc. Just want lighter, better looking and sounding. Opinions vary, but some have said I should NOT have to adde a fuel controller or have it Dyno'd. Is your bike otherwise stock and how does it run?

    • @lovemud100
      @lovemud100 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, my bike just has the air box mod, plus a k&n standard air box filter. It runs great and feels easier to rev since the exhaust was fitted, if that makes sense. It seems to have increased the top speed from 63mph to 66mph. There are no fuel mapping and no dyno.

    • @jeffholthus2009
      @jeffholthus2009 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I appreciate that. I'll order the exhaust, bolt it up and just reset the ECU. I've heard your clip, but hard to tell from video. On a 2015 model, I rode one running a DG under seat exhaust and it was nice and low and mean. Would you say the Yoshi has a low sound? Also, is it rideable on city streets without the DB killer? I know it's sold as track exhaust only and not intended for street.... Just wondering if that's what they ALL say?

    • @lovemud100
      @lovemud100 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jeff Holthus the sound on the camera isn't the best and you can't tell much from it. Yes it's a deep base sort of sound but nice with it. When I'm riding and the engine hits about 6000 revs people start to look around to see what it is (with the DB killer in) I haven't had the courage to try it with out the DB killer out on a ride yet. It's well made and does set the bike off. Now and then it has a nice pop or burble as you go down through the gears.

    • @lovemud100

      Hi mate. I find the best are air arms field Diablo but the tightest groups are JSB jumbo Diablo RS and they're lighter so have a flatter loop.

    • @lovemud100
      @lovemud100 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +waddac2 yes I have tried those. The wildcat doesn't seem to be fussy on which brand pellet it uses, I tried a few test packs and those style of pellets group well. The two pellets I said about seemed to be that bit tighter groups though. Hope you get your wildcat.

      +lovemud100 I got my wildcat today before I came to work amte and well impressed with looks and weight. I took scope off my r10 and quickly put it on and had a look through. The mounts I had on r10 were lowest type mounts and don't think they suit the wildcat due to when I put but upto my cheek it seems I have to sort of scrunch my neck a bit or move wildcat more or less to my cheek bone and not comfortable at all, so may need medium height mounts for better viewing through scope.

      +waddac2 sorry for the late reply. glad u got the wildcat mate great riffle. I use high mounts on there. It feels that I could do with an extra couple of millimetres though. I think it's a thing with all bullpups that they need higher mounts.

    Not a lot of reviews out on these from impartial people it seems, for people just now getting into PCP`s thats a big disappointment. I`ve fiddled with the .22 version and the retailer even let me dry-fire it inside the shop with just a single baffle installed, pretty much heard nothing and spent the next 5 minutes gathering all the papers that flew off the desk I used as aiming reference.. I`ve ordered this air rifle in .25 caliber (and I`m sure hundreds more have) and will have it in 2 months time, but where are the reviews? I`m sure I`ve ordered an air rifle with good quality, worksmanship, care put into its conception and assembly, but seeing reviews and videos that show what its capable of so I can make up my mind as to what I`m going to have to do to get more out of it would be kinda sweet.. Has the FX/Airguns of Arizona vs Talon/Joe/etc war over in the U.S reached the point at which none of the known YT airgun channels dares attempt an honest review out of fear of being blacklisted by either party or something? It`s as if since June, air rifles on youtube, what in the hell is going on?

    Hi, the grip talon handles every thing we asked of it. Moving felled trees and their stumps, picking up and loading concrete, old brick pillars and moving shrubs and branches. Saves lots of time loading. We only need use it 10% of a job, the rest of the time it's digging. I would say if using it as you described more than you use your digger for excavating, the 3 and 2 grapple would be easier to use and more efficient. Hope that helps. Thank you.

    Yes it's a good tool. Saves a lot of work. Your bang on with the pins getting stiff with the flexing. I put a barrel sander on a drill and sanded inside the pin holes, plus some oil on all the pins. Comes out much more free now.

    nice great piece of kit on the 016. had the same thumb on my 016 for 3 years, i found its best used with the 1 foot bucket especialy for final clearup. used it for clearing trees and sorting stone on sea defences. make sure not to leave it on your machine for long periods without removing pins every few days and carry a drift and hammer to remove the top pin as the thumb flexes and tends to grip it.
