This week with a video on how to make a small winter diorama using simple techniques. A road decorated with UV resin, grass, with a water channel passing under the road, and a cute little fence behind it! A mini diorama scene that you can use for your figures and vehicles. Terrain conditions are up to you. Since it is very simple to make, you can make any changes you want with your imagination...
It was a product I saw during the night shift and wanted to try. 04:27 @Vmssupplies is a really useful and useful product among the products! I have been using for a long time! It is a soft but very malleable clay. It is a great product that dries quickly and is very easy to apply textures to. If you haven't already, I definitely recommend it.

      @@NightOwlModelling I was going to use some sculptamold to mimic the mountain/cliff behind the Hatshepsut temple, but will have a go at hacking away at the foam first. If it doesn't achieve the look I want, I can always go back to sculptamold. I'd prefer to keep the diorama lightweight though, and this method ticks that box.

      @@bRIZZAd Yes. For sharp rocks, cutting styrofoam is more efficient. For normal rocks, sculptamold is very successful. Of course, sculptamold can be made and shaped by scraping after it dries. 😉🤘

    How would you go about making sand dunes for a diorama? The sand dunes i want to make are probably 5-7centimetres tall (3.5 inches) I'm guessing I add foam with a sand-paint-glue-plaster mix and when that dries I add more fine sand with watered down glue and alcohol? How would i make the small slopes that are in sand dunes? Would toulet paper work for that? Great dioramam btw

    Where do you get Giotto vinyl glue? Is it only available in Italy? Can I use ceramic resin or other mix?

    • @NightOwlModelling
      @NightOwlModelling หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, don't get hung up on the Giotto vinyl brand, any PVA glue (white glue) will do the job. You can use any mixture that hardens after it dries to shape the diorama. The reason I use powdered plaster is because it is the most common, cheap and easy to find.

    • @na4211
      @na4211 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @NightOwlModelling you mean just normal glue or plaster if paris in a water and mix it and then use tissue paper as you have done it?

      @@na4211 I don't know what you mean by normal glue, but any PVA glue will do. If you dilute the plaster powder enough for the tissue to absorb it, then yes it will work.

    • @NightOwlModelling
      @NightOwlModelling 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, unfortunately there is nothing I can say that you should do specifically, but in order to shape the surface faster, after giving the desired roughness and heights with Styrofoam, you can make a mixture with plaster sand and PVA glue and cover the surface faster and easier. After that, you can use a paint brush or continue with an airbrush. ✌🍺

      @NightOwlModelling 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello mate, I did not use a flame lighter, I did it using a mini torch, I moved closely and with fast movements, but the density value of styrofoam is very important here. I worked with 32-38 styrofoam. The lower ones are vulnerable to fire. Very large cavities are opened with a little fire effect. density is important. 🍺

    The diorama is certainly masterfully executed. There is a lot to learn from you. But the composition itself, it seems to me, is a little illogical. On one side of the road there is a drainage pipe from which something flows, and on the other side there is a hill and a wooden fence. Logically, on the other side there should also be a pipe into which something flows.

    • @NightOwlModelling
      @NightOwlModelling 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First of all, thank you very much for your nice comment. You are very kind. I am not a professional modeler nor am I a diorama expert. I am trying to explain how something can be done by sharing with you the experiences I have gained in this hobby for many years. Yes, you may be right in what you say, but environmental conditions are not always logical. The soil elevation may have accumulated later, the drainage basin may not be very close to the surface, the slope may be different and for this reason it may be outside the section taken in the diorama. But I repeat what I said again. I'm not an expert! I'm trying to show you the tips on how to do something! You can see a photo of the hill slope in the link below. Thank you again. Peace! Cheers ! 🍺🍺 www.alamy.com/cement-drainage-pipes-with-stagnant-water-in-canal-amid-low-mountains-image593795918.html?imageid=1CABDFFA-4441-46DB-999F-835D4E4636D8&p=1737714&pn=1&searchId=b43afd7099c55115e3f07c4f3fca9879&searchtype=0
