I don't know what modern tech you are talking about because the only thing it could have is ABS. No TC at all. It really is a sports naked - street fighter. My 2013 year I've had for 4 years now and I don't plan to sell it for now. Maybe in the future I'll hop on a 765 :) The only thing that I regret is that I got a standard model. The R has much better brakes and regulated front suspension. And btw it isn't that loud. You should hear it with a sc project exhaust haha

what did you think of power/acceleration? I have a '99 955 speed triple, recently picked up a tiger 800. Found the acceleration a bit lacking. The engine is definitely smoother, though.

Nice bike isn't it the one you're riding now . Do you reckon you'll keep it ?. It sounds lovely and quiet but with plenty of power without having to rev the engine . I Iove getting lost as well mate .. especially in the Peak District on a nice day no traffic.

Sou ds like fuel, check breather hose , open fuel cap and run see if any differance, is there a fuel tap or fuel filter to check , allways start with the simple first , good luck

Tough one. I loved my Bandit & now Im looking at a 24 year old bike.

My carbs were full of bacteria, and the tank full of rust.

I have a ‘98 one of those: they are fun.

Those are the roads i also ride on it's a fantastic area for bikers. Great video 👍

Having same issue with mine as it's all being rebuilt. Certain it's the carbs as that and the hoses are the only things I haven't replaced/ rebuilt yet. Lovely bikes too so spending way too much money on it haha. Glad yours got sorted though! =)

I've an SV650 that I bought nearly 24 years ago. I've always put redex in it every now and then, maybe every 3 or 4 months I give it a good shot of the stuff. The bike has never had any fueling problems and the carbs have never been cleaned because of that. I usually give it an extra shot of redex before laying it up for winter, in case it's a miserable wet winter and I don't get a chance to get out on it. Redex really is good stuff for keeping the fuel system clean and trouble free.

Bought myseft a street triple rx as a first big bike.... I can't fault it at all! You get used to the numb bum after a while 😂 theyre worth it for the sound alone though

Is defo running on 3 cylinders, also clear the fuel filters.

Backfires are indicative of a rich environment (too much gas). The pilot jets should be 1 and 5/8 turns out and adjust accordingly. Righty less gas. Lefty more gas. Also adjust idle screw. Confirm proper spark and air filter. Look for any leaks. Use fuel without ethenol if possible. Don't let fuel sit for more than month. Inspect tank for any rust/ debris to clog carb.

Just get a Bandit 1200.....a world of difference.
