I think it's because beginners can easily be played against and are more likely to use those characters. But because the character is easy to master, the people that invest in learning them quickly hit a high level of play. And the perception becomes playing against them is either like playing a beginner or a high level player.

@@novick4743 I actually don't mind fighting him. I rush him down and/or use projectiles against him and he dies fast. When he gets hit, he can't do his bug stuff so I feel like any fight against him is fair

@@normalpairThat’s what I try to do and when I can prevent arakune players from achieving their game plan it usually works out. However, that still doesn’t discount my infernal frustration with having to deal with curse and arakune’s five way mix up.

I don't think I've played enough Ranked recently to give a definitive answer but Armed, Zooey, Discard are all pretty strong. Id suggest whichever your comfortable with/enjoy playing the most.

Hozumi has a weak early game so building a strong board state before they hit the combo is a good idea. Every build also has to swing with Storm for game so anything that shuts that down (Goddess of Rebirth->Dawn's Splendor) or even general wards like (Metatron / Bellringer Angel). Hozumi also goes all in the majority of the time with no back up plan so if they aren't able to OTK, they usually just have to sit on the combo and wait.

I've been keeping up with Hozumi for a while now and it feels the most consistent it's ever been. Previously hitting the combo turn 4/5/6 was about 5/80/95% of the time now feels about 20/90/95% in my experience. If your not worried about hand management or counter cards you could also side them out for more consistency like Wind Fairy or Stay In Paradise.

So first you're going to make sure you get to the Demonic Procession ASAP because you heard Soultaker is going to be there with her friends. And you need to get to know them if you want to get with her. Get a job at a mortician company to dig as much as you can. Get at least 2 burials for her friends that might pass away in the near future. Now that it's just you two, you gotta do whatever it takes to get with Soultaker. Bring her flowers, tutor her after class, dig up some expensive jewelry, whatever you gotta do. Kyrie is your wingman but you don't need his help if you already first. Now that you're together you gotta show her that everyone you know goes through a beautiful evolution. At this point she might get jealous and make your friends disappear forcing you into a wedding. But that's Ok! Everyone was fodder up til this point anyway, it was always part of the plan. And as long as you take out the guy who brought his guitar to the after party you can live happily ever after! Hope this helps. TLDR : Mulligan / Dig for combo pieces (Soultaker + Guitarist + Rider + 2 Burials, Tutors). Drop free Evo's after you get to Soultaker. Pop Guitarist after dropping Soultaker for an OTK.

They've released some cards that have improved the build since this one. So I would recommend looking into that if you like the Oberon play style and are looking to climb. For this build, I would say 1/4 games the full combo happens at turn 5. The win/loss at time of posting was 50/50 in or around Master Rank.

Nah, this expansion didn't add many cards to unlimited.

For the starting hand you're looking for all of the 1 cost burials. Stomp, Ceridwen, Bone Maiden, Procession, Call. The early game is trying to get 5 burials as soon as possible to invoke followers and quickly moving through cards in the deck building shadows. The win con is have enough shadows to invoke Gremory then finish with Tyrant / Hound / Necroimpulse. General Tips : Drawing invoke followers will happen, they become burial fodder after they are in your hand except in some niche circumstances where you can finish with Lakendula. You can back yourself into a brick wall by reducing your hand size early on so it's usually a good idea to pass turn rather than using Spectral Stomp / Demonic Procession without drawing 2 cards. Burials count as followers hitting the board for Mikel invoke. If you only draw 1 Hound / Tyrant, you can use 2 play points to dig for the other one if Gremory Effect is live after playing the first one. If you open with 2 Call Of The Great Arm, you can copy Shadowcraft followers if you don't bury more than 2 different followers(Ceridwen or Bone Maiden are the best followers to copy).

@absol7429 Gremory will invoke from the deck and activate it's effect when your shadow count is higher than the number of cards in deck at the start of your turn. So we want to dig through the deck as fast as possible. Using a spell / burying a follower / a follower on board dieing will generate a shadow. You can use the first Gremory for burial fodder if you end up drawing it, as long as the second one is in hand or deck. If you get unlucky and draw both Gremorys, make sure to hold on to 1 because that is the decks win condition and you can still activate Gremory's effect by playing from your hand under the same condition of having more shadows than cards in deck.

My usual gameplay is for opening hand mulligan for Bellerophon or the 2cost tutor. If you're vsing an OTK class make sure to hold on to the repose amulet. The early game is digging for Bellerophon and getting the Despair Amulet out on turn 3(turn 4 if your going first) evolve Bellerophon on turn 4/5. Then copy the amulet with the spell on turn 5 or dig for Bowman and 1/0 cost heals to set up for huge burst damage with Bowman. If the amulet was copied on turn 5 then dropping Bowman in the 1 open space is the follow up play for turn 6.

It's been a top meta deck for a while. Basically you just drop your hand to invoke from the deck and burn them down with Storm followers and effect damage.

Both are top meta decks for a reason but Zooey does pretty well. Against Atomy, the amulet can make them have to play high cost followers raw or speed up whatever they were doing. Just make sure to play around Spirit Eater on your turn. Against D-Shift it's a matter of how fast you can go. The win con is just get Zooey on board. After that D-Shift is worthless because youl be immortal until they give you your turn but If they get down to 20 cards in deck before you drop Phoenix Roost it's usually over.

Will do 😊. Some of my most memorable games are when both leaders are commenting on what's happening.

That same player used Dimension Shift against me the other day. I recognize the player name. They played three of them in a row even though they had more than lethal. I was really mad at them for that.

There's some cool D-Shift players but the amount of default Isabelle, no sleeve, no emote players that feel like they only exist to waste your time is astounding.

Hozumi list that got me to grand master unlimited for the last 70% of the master rank climb. I know there is a ton of different Hozumi list out there but I feel comfortable on this tbh. I really do like Plesiosaurus but I was bricking with it a little too often and usually wanted to ramp more or drop the amulet around turn 6. It's always nice to see a deck have enough flexibility to run different builds. And congrats on the GM 😊. I'm also not a big fan of the Oberon build but your Hozumi deck is very good.

Copy-Paste the highest tiered deck of your preferred class. Do charity work and random acts of kindness to build good karma. Hope you get first and/or they brick. If ineffective, repeat process and increase duration of charity work.

Not really, I went 6/10 playing this one. The new burial cards are so strong that it only really lost to metta decks that were able to otk before turn 6. It has enough pressure where the opponent has to answer the board and many unlimited decks are high roll, so this build feels like it's fits comfortably into a rogue tier. Also its super fun to play. If you check out other videos on this channel I'm sure you find some far rougher builds. :D

I didn't really understand it myself until I played it but Memento seems to active as a separate effect from the card that triggers. So the fanfare happens normally with the burial, then the effect triggers a second time without having to bury.
