The sad state of machinery repair I see in these videos is really disappointing. There is no legitimate excuse for that rusted through deck.
@@gizmo32456 lol as you can see I get my monies worth. That mower was gave to me 20 years ago and it had holes in it then. The three point hitch was all bent up and I beat it back straight as I could get it with a hammer. Filled the gear box full of grease and off we went. Used it mainly for chewing up blueberry bush cuttings after we pruned. Sorry if that’s not a legitimate excuse for ya but that’s all I got.
thanks
@@mrmojorisen6336 I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Hey Farmin N Stuff~ I enjoyed watching your video but, Damn, are you always that hard on your equipment. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. You are the definition of a backyard shade tree mechanic. Do you always choose the hardest way to do things? I just picked up a Howse bush hog for $400 and it is in mint condition (I might paint a couple scratches) LOL. I will make my own guards and some other mods. Good luck with your other equipment. Peace-Out
Unfortunately it does seem like everything I do is the hard way lol. If I get a good deal on something I’ll find a way to tear it up and cost me more money 🤦♂️I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👍

@@bobbyg4100 hey Bobby thanks for the comment. Yes I have put them back in the hole but don’t really know if it does any good.
I just ordered 2 of these. My concern is proper placement and correct height. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure I have pocket gophers, too. I have tried poison mole worms, and they're not working. I also ordered some Victor gopher and mole poison to try.
@@shanew7361 just make sure you get the bottom of the trap on the bottom of the run. You’ll know when the little rod goes through the run and hits the bottom. I’ve got another vid showing a little auger I found that really makes it easy as well.
@TheBlueberryFarmer I also ordered 4 of the wire tek traps, any advice on those if you've used them?
@ just make sure it’s on an active run and push the dirt down far enough so that the moles have to push up enough to trigger the trap.

@@troyshrope67 Hey Troy thanks for the comment. I hope you’re able to get yours apart easier than I was 👍
Excellent video, but just a note of caution: at the very end of the video, you push the thin, small wire (the "tripwire" essentially ), located inside the actual metal trap part to demonstrate how to get the trap part back inside. Be VERRRRRRRY careful, because if you're uncoordinated like I am, it hurts like a bitch when the trap unexpectedly springs back on its own - with tremendous force - and catches your finger in it. OUCH!!
@@ritajensen7277 hey Rita thanks for your comment. Yeah you definitely don’t want your fingers anywhere around the trip wire part unless the spring is released. Dang I bet that did hurt.

I am planning on putting one in but concerned about keeping the grass mowed in between plants. I messed up and only mulch around the plants instead of in rows. Can you offer in advice?
@@annettemack-barnett795 I started out with my drip lines on the ground but the gophers, moles and mice constantly ate holes in them. After redoing all of my field to get it off the ground the coyotes, raccoons and deer eat on it 🤦♂️so expect to be fixing leaks no matter how you choose to do it.

When 2 or 3 are together,.He is there among us ,.. Amen
Why switch out the plants every 8-10 years? Don’t blueberry plants last some 30 years as I heard before?
Yes they actually can live and produce a lot longer. These days they are making new varieties much quicker than before that are supposed to be better however where I live the older varieties seem to do better for us. It's really dependent on the climate and cultivar that grows and produces best for your location.
