Trifari Modern Mosaic: Vintage Jewelry Repair & Stone Replacement
🌟Trifari Modern Mosiac Stone Replacement🌟
Finally! A way to replace these stones that can work every single time! It took a bit of imagination, but I finally made a way where anyone can have their cake & eat it too! I can not believe I finally found a way to make these. So if you need a modern mosaic cabochon replacement you have come to the right place!
I used a silicone kit to cast the original stones from the Trifari 1966 Modern Mosaic collection to reproduce the stones. This way I can always have a mold to recreate any of the stones in any of the colors.

Best informative, descriptave detailed video on the movent through jewelry! As a handmade designer I now can decipher Nouveau from deco thanks to you. thanks so much for this class, saving it to my library
@@gloriaallen68 omg! Thank you so much. I really appreciate you say that and so happy it was helpful.
Hi new to your site. Could you please share your cheat sheet with me?
Dr Lori suffers from the Dunning- Kruger effect in my opinion - outside of narcissism I can't think of any other reason someone believes they are an expert in EVERYTHING - no way - that's like a heart surgeon - deciding they know everything about neurosurgery just because they are a Dr.
thanks for this video. the evidence is sound in your video - nobody is an expert in everything --- and she holds herself out to be just that and clearly stevie wonder could see that was a fake - she couldn't see that because she's not as expert as she thinks she is
Excellent video 🥰🙏🏼
Beautiful work on so the jewelry. Thanks for sharing
Excellent content!

My dental wax doesn’t stick to my rhinestones, what to do?
@@joannmaxwell4117 are you warming it up a bit in your hands first. Sometimes when mine is to stiff or not tacky I just take the little ball off the tip roll it around and knead it for a sec and then put it back on the “stick”.
i agree she is a fraud, she spews shit and is all over the place. I will say tho, the tag being from japan doesnt mean they are japanese, just the retailer was.

1:39 what was that large cross with the or and and blue 😅beads? I have that too but don’t have any info on it. Please share
Ok, I did answer I didn’t know which one you were talking about but then I saw it! That cross is used in multiple chain stores like Catos and Talbots. The one I have is very similar to many others but in different chains or strands of beads. Here is a link to another one. poshmark.com/listing/Chunky-long-cross-necklace-14-chain-625625f5bb5937c2f42e0571

Dr Lori’s “schtick” is the bombastic know-it-all. If you don’t like her change the channel (don’t watch her). Antiques Roadshow feature knowledgeable polite appraisers. Also, remember Economics 101: value of anything is what someone is willing to pay
@@mrstacyj9496 yeah but I did like her, and my mom liked her whether she was rude, loud, or bombastic. That is why I paid so much for her service and then to be let down, given ‘googled’ and generic appraisals and information, and conflicting appraisals less than two weeks apart from each other. It’s not about her show, it’s about people paying over a grand for very incorrect and bad information. I did not say it like that in this video, but after posting it , the amount of people contacting me with similar and much worse stories astounded me. Scamming 101: Make them trust you. (Also, yes I go with your saying too! 😎I honestly didn’t care about the prices as much as I was looking for the identification and the answers to those were very bad and sometimes wrong as well, I honestly felt like I needed to show this so others would not waste their money on this service.) anyways this was way to long and sorry for all the typos. I am way to in love with voice to text
How about you mind your own business - people must be warned --- I don't care what her schtick is --- if people are getting ripped off then they should know it. Go back to her page if you are entertained by her - we aren't that impressed over here
This is absolutely the best video I have ever seen on TH-cam. Your descriptions and how to look an informational sheets are wonderful. Thank you so much continue making videos there. Awesome.
The generic responses , & lack of answering direct questions, make me wonder if AI could be responding at times.
@@jewels4028 you know I don’t know if AI was that advanced at the time. Seems more like an uneducated intern. Lol
The few videos Ive seen w/her were Cringey. Im surprised Chanel hasn't reached out to her in regards to that Misinformation. I think many people assume a "Doctor" will be knowledgeable on what they speak w/such certainty. She has a Phd in Liberal Studies... & imo a large Ego.
@@jewels4028 right!! So funny! The more I’ve learned over the years the worse her shows get. She began before everyone had the ability to fact check her in a moment. Now she is throwing around BS information and people still do not realize it. Oh well I guess. I tried to show a bit of the hypocrisy of the “DR”. Thanks for the comment.
This is a very informative video. I appreciate the work you put into it. I like this better than reviews of others’ work.
@@mullygirl1 thank you. I put a lot of this together in pdf sheets if you ever want the information you can email me and I’ll send you the sheets. Kaciepaige03@hotmail.com
I knew she was a scam when she posted a video appraising Beanie Babies!
Hello, My sister introduced me to your videos and I LOVE THEM! I am curious as to how you clean and repair pave pieces with smaller rhinestones, there are so many. I have a beautiful brooch that I would love to clean/repair but I am a little apprehensive. Do you have any advise for cleaning these pieces? Oh, the metal is pot metal.
Hi, could you share the pdfs with me? Thank you!

@@rhoward295 thank you! I wish I could find a way to monetize anything I do but mostly just help others. I want to start making videos again but I have such a hard time finding time to do it. Thank you again and let me know if you need help with anything.
How do you re-foil a rhinestone?
@@Jupefires it’s a bit of a task and it takes a little bit of learning, but it’s simple once you get the hang of it first you need to remove all of the old backing and glue from the original rhinestone. Next, you’ll need a glue or a jewelers varnish and put a very thin light coat on the back of the rhinestone, some gold or silver leaf or jewelers foil and press down firmly and coat the back of the rhinestone that you’ll need to seal that also with a little bit more jewelers varnish or something like clear nail polish then Your stone will be refoiled!
@@OlivesVintageMarket Thanks! I just found you. You are a wealth of knowledge. I just bought 4 books off Amazon on costume jewelry. History, identification, etc. You are awesome, your’e a book or several! I so appreciate you sharing your aquired knowledge.
A++
Thanks a lot for video ! I have a question that I can't find an answer to anywhere. Please help. What do the 4 numbers on a vintage brooch mean? The brooch only has 4 numbers, no letters, no other markings. What could these numbers mean? And where can I find the decoding?
@@НатальяТр-л6ж I do not know the what the brooch looks like but I would bet you it’s “sphinx” they bought a lot of molds from companies retired and gone out of business. They would then place numbers on the mold for their own reference. Sometimes they would say sphinx but more than half only had the new reference number. Let me know if this is right or not.
@@НатальяТр-л6ж you can always email me if you want to send a picture. Kaciepaige03@hotmail.com
Amazingly packed with useful info. Thank you!!!
You did a great job. Thank you, this is a master class in giving me only exactly what I need and want. So many of the books on the subject wander around too much and splash around in too many subjects that just have nothing to do with the pieces themselves they get kind of caught in the weeds. There’s not an ounce of fat on this. Well done.
So glad I found this video! Had considered using Lori but was on the fence because I saw her give an awful appraisal of opal to a viewer while berating the viewer in the process. Okay, so she only pretends to know opal when she's actually clueless, but everything else? Your plate devaluation in two weeks time was INSANE!! What a slap to the face. I would have pursued that refund due to the plate alone and I personally will NOT be using her.
I bought literally a back of a pickup truck FULL and the back seat FULL of vintage jewelry I have been selling on whatnot (on there as krazyfarmhomestead) but I literally learned most of what I know from my customers. if you ever have time, get on Thursdays at 4pm mt time. I still have about 1/4 of it left. I LOVE jewelry too. but your work is AMAZING!! I had my husband take some 2x4s and he put nails in those boards for me one right next to another and I LOVE it.
can you give me a few names of some places I can find some glass replacement stones? I have so many NICE piece's I would like to attempt to replace the stones for. these are BEAUTIFUL pieces.
@@krazyfarmhomestead2239 eBay, Mr. Stone, panda hall (for modern stones), Etsy. These all have a ton of different stones!
Omgosh seems so tedious I have TONS of vintage that is missing a stone or two. they look beautiful! you did a great job!!
You can go 30 minutes and we would watch it!!!
Hi again, lol😊, I love watching this video, it’s amazing! I think about how it looked like this in the case in the 1920s or 30s. My question is, what kind of tool is just the little narrow rod thing that you went over it with?
Him, I'm impressed with your knowledge. I'm just getting into thrifting for resale, and was wondering, where can I get knowledge? What's best books? Thank you so much. Have a blessed day. 🤗🤗🤗
Hi this is awesome. How do I get your email so I can request the cheat sheets. Thank you.
Is there any way to clean the old rhinestones? I have a brooch with several different sizes and shapes and I’m not educated on mm sizes. I ordered some retanguler rhinestones for replacement, measured and everything and they were way too big lol
Thank you this is a wonderful video
Just saw this video. I try to use those trick with my clip earrings. Unfortunately I have short hair, never even wore a scarf last winter! Not cold enough. Now what to do with those fantastic cuff links I’ve collected. Any ideas? I really enjoyed this video. Take care.
What tool did you use to replace the stones? And what is the tag on your hand when replacing? Thanks 😊
@@joannmaxwell4117 I just have a little bit of dental wax that people use on braces and mold it into a little point and put it on on a toothpick and it works really well to pick up the rhinestones. The little tag on my hand is actually just a sticker that people use to like mark things in their freezer and stuff so it’s waterproof and I put it on my hand and put my glue on that so I’m not constantly scraping my hand through glue on a piece of paper or some thing that I have laying on my desk because I have stuck my hand/arm in glue more times than I can count, lol.
@@OlivesVintageMarket thank you! I’ve been using tweezers and as I’m sure you know, the flat top is always upside down. My eyes are not the best and it’s hard to see if I’m placing it correctly.
