Beautiful machine!

I made a couple of these last week. I lengthened the straps by an inch and a quarter as my boobs seem to be so low! My fabric wasnt as stretchy as suggested so the bras are pretty firm but I love them. However the straps do show in whatever I'm wearing unless its a Freya top. I love the support this bra gives in the more structured fabric ive used. Next I'm going yo make one in swimwear fabric and use it as a bikini top instead of the sandpiper top which really squishes me. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, I'm new to sewing and trying to make the Safiya trousers, I have cut to front legs out but unable to find the back legs, could you please tell me where they are, any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I made the trousers last year and I found the flat front needed iron on interfacing to stay nice and neat.

Brilliant video- thank you so much! I also tried the Stevie tunic and got slightly disheartened by the hospital-gownesque feel. I bought the PDF add on last year and never made it. Have finally printed off the pieces and will make a start on it today (will keep your video to hand as I’m technically challenged can’t seem to find the instructions on my computer anymore😆)

The legs are different large it is on the pattern, so it is by purpose. It is correct?

Thanks for the great tutorial. I've just made the Stevie top and I'm about to start this same add-on and was looking for some guidance with the gathering so thank you! I'm totally with you on the hospital gown look for the tunic. I made my top in a blue cotton and was glad I didn't make the dress version in that fabric for that same reason :)

It would be great if you have some ideas in your head and talk. To show a picture of it. So we can follow. I have two little kids. I want to sew again. But I do feel pretty exhausted. Everybody was sick for the last 8 weeks. Since Christmas. My son brought everything from the kindergarten that kids could have. I was sooooo sick two times. Now we are all pretty healthy again. Looks great & thank you for sharing all your thoughts & tips. I’m just tracing off the pattern for the t-shirt & pjs & graded a little between the sizes shown after looking as the finished sizes. Your dress looks super but not sure I would make it as don’t often wear dresses.😊

Hiya, just measured the shoulder seam of an original 1980s does 40s dress with grown on sleeve. The pad is sewn along the seam allowance of the shoulder seam and finishes 4 " from the neck . Hope that is clear 🙃😃 I do my zips of the flat, so much easier x x Debbie x

It’s really smart that you first read through the whole instruction. When I started sewing 40 years ago, we only had sewing magazines and big4 patterns and no TH-cam or Google. I just started with simple patterns and sometimes there would be some extra sewing tutorials on specific subjects in the magazines. Perseverance was key, but I still love sewing. I hope your dress will be a success. The fabric is beautiful and your machine sews beautifully.
