I have this, and America in Flames but no opponents, or time, or space to play them.

To continue on how much food the Austro-Hungarian Empire needs, they should consider Haps burgers.

I spell fatal alliances Fat Al alliances and want to ally with Jo lene or Nat ally. (my sister or niece). Looks like I need to spell WIF as whiffed. It's been three years since August 2020. If the axis don't attack Russia they likely will win. Or Japan may beat both Germany/Italy and Russia. A lot depends on where the USA goes. Based on Fatal Alliances Germany doesn't have a chance And Austria will likely stay Hungry and need food. Different world wars, similar problems. If the Commonwealth doesn't win, they did something wrong.

When you explored Venus on the FlyBy, and the result was, “spaceship destroyed,” why wasn’t your Ion destroyed? (Minute 26) thx.

Just curious, it looks like you're using the Stations Outcome cards, but in the rules it says to use the base cards and only use the Stations cards if you run out. I'm assuming because the ratios are different.

0:08:18 - I don't follow why it would be "too easy to go to Alpha Centauri" from the Scattered Disk for a *Flyby RE* . Subtracting the Scattered Disk Relative Location Value of +15 from that of AC (+45) would still take a *Flyby RE* nearly three decades to get any meaningful exploration results at AC (assuming a Flyby's exploration value of 2, it would still take 30 -(9+2)=19 years before any possibility of exploration could be done and the risk of malfunction from exploring from a heliocentric transfer box would be still be the same as for any other system. (Page 17-18 of the Rule Book did not exclude it, but I couldn't find a reason for the change on BGG): _After a Flyby RE explores from a Flyby box [...], it must immediately make a heliocentric transfer to another planetary system with a higher Heliocentric transfer number (or is destroyed if already in the Alpha Centauri flyby box)._

This series of Stellar Horizons campaign playthrough really flows like the game rules do not at all! These are exceedingly helpful in getting a feel for the sequence of play and for the nuances of the game, as well as in making me aware of the many, many additions and deductions to engine failures, malfunctions, exploration values and the like (haven't gotten to any combat yet - thankfully! - as I approach the 2060s), . It will take a lot of practice and referencing the rules to remember that there is both Movement (Flybys from Flyby boxes) and Resource Production (CV) in the Exploration Phase and not in the respective Movement and Production Phases (are you kidding me?!!) Thanks so much for this series: It is not only instructional for learning how to play and teach the game and navigate the rule book, but also for helping me fall asleep (seriously!).

Dude, thanks a lot for this recording. This must be a huge effort for a seemingly niche game. Your audio and tone is great and much better than some of the gameplay content for this title on TH-cam. Something I didn’t realize until I checked on TTS is that not only do the countries have different stats but different amount of vehicles. E g some countries may only have one telescope or rover while others have more. This must greatly affect strategy. Looking forward to play this for real one day

hello, in minute 24:51 you draw several score cards at the same time. The rules say If you are doing something that requires you to draw multiple outcomes, you must deal with each one in turn before proceeding to the next. For example, if you fire two Atlas rockets you must draw one outcome, face the results, then either shuffle it back onto the advancement or pay to remove it, and then draw the second outcome

You were right about the outcome. Japan probably only wins if the game ends in the year that it did or 1 or 2 more years. After that, North America takes it, widening the gap. Lucky roll for Japan, but then again, they had the most luck all the way through. I'd love to see you film a scenario playthrough.

If you do another series of this game, I prefer the long form showing everything. It tells the "story" better seeing the outcome of every role. It's like watching a sci-fi movie.

At 1:29:22 you forgot to decrease Galatea by 1 due to the depletion.

It looks like you played an extra year so some of those lunar missions didn't complete. It does appear as though you had more than half of the points accumulated so it didn't change the outcome.

Your ship with 2 eagles, 2 people and 3 food had no thrust to move from earth to mars cycler?

Landing on Mars before the Moon, and then leaving astronauts there for 5 years in orbit - now that's funny :D Also, landing and not exploring, just pure comedy. "Houston, the Eagle has landed"... "Roger Eagle, stay put, nobody move, we don't want something to happen."... "Houston, but why did we come here at all if..."... "Eagle, I said NOBODY MOVE! Or do you want to be left like Mars crew, eating nutrient paste for several years? No? I didn't think so. Over and out."

Just got the Outer Planets expansion to add to my Base and Stations collection so watching your playthrough helped refresh my memory on the rules. Well done. Also the reason your Uranus trip seemed to be off a year is that at 1:30:40 you forgot to move the time from 1982 to 1983 ... so technically you played an extra year. I'm pretty sure you still would have completed the moon missions. You had them all set up long beforehand. Thanks again.
