My shampoo is a body wash and face wash all combined. (Baby Cetaphil (2 in 1 body and shampoo) It does have a mild scent but it’s shampoo. Is it possible to find unscented shampoo?
If the scent is mild it should be fine, just nothing potent.

I got my hair done like that but the ends are ginger my NCO told me to take it out it’s not in regs🤦🏾♀️
It is authorized per the update in AR 670-1. Ginger is a natural hair color. It does not have to be the individuals natural hair color. Keep the regulation on you for reasons such as this! Braids are time consuming and expensive and money should not be wasted due to lack of understanding of the regulation. Pull the reg and read it so that you can defend yourself in these situations. Also make sure you do it tactfully/respectfully when addressing a superior.
@@ShayBarnes thank you but like from the roots to my shoulder it have highlights and then the end is all ginger is that still in regs or no because it’s basically two toned if that makes sense

Shay, I appreciate your content. I'll report for my training in October. Looking forward to it. Got a question for you: is senior drill an attained position or going as a SFC will automatically slot me in that position?
Hi! Thanks for watching. From my experience, SFC will automatically be slotted in that SDS position. You may get a chance to get a left seat right seat for one cycle if you’re lucky. If not you’ll be slotted immediately. If you have a good team and good junior drills, they’ll take care of you and make sure you know all you need to know.
Are we allowed to bring razors for female ? I know it will get taken but I been told we will get it taken away and only given few weeks later.
You will be allowed to go to what’s called a “troop store”, I’d just purchase them there.

Hi Mackenzie. It depends on your DS. I will say as the weeks go by you will get more time. Yes, we allowed our trainees to have razors, they are also sold at the troop store.

I'm leaving for LWOOD on the 31st. Other than tampons, are there any other toiletries that we can take from our personal bag? I bought moleskin, band-aids, chapstick, etc. Seems like a waste of money to purchase things at the PX when you've bought them at home when they don't break regulation. Having "ethnic" hair...I don't exactly trust for the PX to have appropriate brushes and combs for my hair.
Everything you’ve mentioned is necessary. Moleskin and chapstick will come in handy during rucks especially with the weather changing. True, the shopette will not have the products needed to maintain ethnic hair. They do sell gel, however none that will “hold”. If I were you I’d bring the necessary items for your hair (hair ties, gel, comb, brush, scarf, bobby pins, etc…) At the end of the day it will be up to your DS if you can keep them or not. However it’s better to have them and they possibly say yes, then not to have them and then struggle to keep your hair in regulation. Most females came with their hair already braided and around week 4 they had another trainee re-braid/cornrow it.

I believe one and a half. They are small braids and the small bundles in each pack are actually pretty full.

Sorry for the delayed response I thought I answered it. You can get birth control in BCT. I’m not sure how the depo shot works, but I know trainees do receive birth control pills.

i have eczema, i know you said no “smell good” hygiene products. but the body wash i use for my eczema, it’s specifically for eczema but it has a oatmeal sent to it. would i be able to bring it ?
Yes it should be fine. Just notify your DS of your situation.
I got my hair braided for the first time and I might cry because I think I got too thick and didn’t know how to explain how I needed them to my braider 😫 I’m having a really hard time figuring out how to style my hair in regulation now and I was so expensive
Always tell them to do the brick layered method. Many times they will free part which will cause them to be too thick and bulky.
