How to Operate a Loglift Timber Crane While Loading Seasoned Spruce
It is not a proper tutorial video. I am just showing the operations that move the crane. During filming i thought that it would be nice to add arrows simultaneously, but these would distract in my opinion. I tried once, just to show it. You will also see me reversing trailer. I had to do it 14 times in this weekend, since there was weight limit on the other end of the road. The load of timber was seasoned spruce this time, who doesn't know yet, then the truck is Scania 560R and timber crane is Loglift 96S.
Video was recorded 21.04.2024. It was the last day of my 3 day shift.

Hi! Normal trucking day. I was hauling the same material to the same place for 2.5 days straight. The trip lenght was 55 km and every single time i weighted 52 or less tons. It is good to drive around with a big load, knowing that nobody can bother you. #logging #timber #lumber

I failed my reversing and i decided to show that. If this place had deep ditches then i would have reposition myself but there was plenty of room. Hi ! From Friday to Sunday all i did was hauling seasoned spruce. 9 trips in total and 1pulpwood load back to my home town. Ma valdava enamuse ajast pedaalidega tõstukeid kasutanud. See pöialde all variant oli ka väga hea. Praegune toimib väga hästi , nii et ei tunne puudust uuest variandist😉
Cool video. I drive a ponsse harvester in Scotland. On forest machines the extension is on the left control and the rollers/grapple open and close are on the right.

Wow... To reverse a trailer setup like that in ONE go is a really hard challenge, especially around a bend. I think car drivers driving a single axle trailer have no clue HOW hard this is!

Osad kohad nagu lõuad/peamast alt üle päeva, lõuad vahest iga päev. Oleneb, kui palju koormaid tehakse. Kogu tõstuk + haagise pöördring iga pühapäev. Pikendus,käpad ja kabiini siinid siis kui kägisema hakkab või näha et kuiv.

Very interesting video ! I like the picture in picture bit . ..... I was trying to work out which hand/foot worked what function..... I got most of them . I didn't quite get which is the main slew or which is the rotator on the grab . That crane has a different arrangement to the HMF's that I used to operate . My HMF had : 2 foot pedals....right one was main lift , left one was boom bend , then there were 4 levers ahead for slew, extension , grab and rotator . Very easy once you are used to it ! ... You have a very good touch , I would have employed you in a flash ! 🙂

Ise vedukamehena julgen öelda, et lehtpuu kütte puhul tihtipeale materjal niivõrd kehv (igatepidi kõver, okslik ja "karvane"), et tihu hinnaga vedades ei tasu lihtsalt ära see hirmus virna silumine kuna metsaall koormet teheski on endal juba kehv neid otsi sirgu saada, virna pannes olukord eriti parem ei ole. Isegi, kui metsapoolt virn enamvähem sirge on, siis lehtpuu küttel väga tihti materjali pikkus niivõrd varieeruv, et teepoolt vaadates virn ikka kohutav :D

Hello! Thanks! I was in Germany for a short period of time. Less than half of a year. I left because of that popular virus in 2019. I never really spoke German that much, i do understand it quite a bit.
