Cleaning
Ive emailed my local store and they never reached out to me. I guess they dont wanna make a sale. Why even put an email option on your site if they dont use it ??
What about replacement seat foam? What is the standard in your recliners and can I opt for a denser longer lasting foam?
I'd buy another lazyboy if i knew it had a seat foam that would hold up for at least 5 years.
Brand name means next to nothing these days, afaic.
Just shopped for a new recliner. Lazy Boy looked well made, but old fashioned. Didn't care for any of them, though I did like the memory positions on some of them. That was a really neat feature. Didn't like the rocking. Felt like the chair was running away from me when I sat down. Feet weren't on the floor, so felt like Lily Tomlin! Headrests weren't comfortable and didn't adjust up enough to watch TV. Really wanted to buy one...but...
In addition: the defect was a broken weld off of a metal piece which supported the leg lift linkage. So nothing worked when it broke off. This was definite a manufacturing defect which they refused to do anything about. See below!
Pants on Fire! Pants on Fire!
Pretty awesome video
Why is there such a thing as a non-genuine lazy boy being sold? I've never heard of something like this.. this answers the question as to why lazy boys are a hit and miss with their quality.
What they dont tell you! Invoice of $5200 had a $400 charge for additional coverge (5yrs) but after 2 yrs we found out when the weld broke we found that the 400 coverage was to a 3rd party not to LB! After 2 yrs we had to pay upfront 160 dollar labor plus 13 shippment to get it fixed! That 3rd party was never told to us nore was any paperwork of it. Thats fraud and deception!
Years ago, I bought a “fake” La-Z-Boy”. It was cheap and comfortable like a real La-Z-Boy. Within a couple of years, I started to notice hardware (bolts and nuts) laying loose around and under the chair. Soon, the “fake” leather began to peel like a bad sunburn. I was so pissed off,I went to my local La-Z-Boy” and ordered my first genuine La-Z-Boy. It was expensive, but after 10+ years, it still as good as day one. I thought I’d have buyer’s remorse for spending so much $$$, but no regret.
The good name of La-Z-Boy has definitely been corroding with their subpar quality as of late in customer service
I will never buy La-Z-Boy again, even though I spent nearly $6500 last year on furniture. My glider rocker after six months had a tear in the trim. I submitted a claim to the protection plan, which cost $90, and it was denied. I will never ever shop for La-Z-Boy again, there are too many competitors! 😢😢
File case with credit card company
This is the best LazBoy training I’ve ever seen. Thank you! Is there any way to get a transcript? Tons of information!!! It’s a bit out of date. But most still very relevant.
Informative. I've not had problems with the actual FRAME... but the JOINTS in the frame coming apart. Several times I have just had to repair the chair myself by reinforcing the joints with metal plates and screws, because the joint simply came apart. However, lazyboy is the ONLY brand I can use, the way other brands are designed, will cause back issues.... and primarily, you have to use your legs to FORCE down the footrest on other brands, where lazy boy's ratchet mechanism you can drop the footrest with a flick of the wrist.
My wife purchased me a La-Z-Boy before I realized all of the deficiencies with the seat cushions not being available for replacement after five years and joints like you’re saying. I feel into the trusting the name because this is what my dad had for years. But unfortunately I’m probably going to keep it simply due to the functionality. I just hope it last a bit longer with the higher density foam and my frame doesn’t come apart.
That is awful.
What recliner chairs are available as a glider
Does lazy boy make a glider recliner with a seat minimum of 20 x20 I’m having difficulty finding any
SHORT MEN 5 ‘9 UNDER/ 350 LBS - RECOMMEND CHAIR ?
Look at the new Apollo! The height is perfect for it not sure about the weight though. I used to be 350lbs too.
Had a lazy boy some of the reclining mechanism broke and lazy boy guaranteed the parts but I would have to use thier repair people at 135.00 per hr . Took the air out of my satisfaction with lazy boy but still I will buy another chair from lazy boy . They need to adjust their guaranteed.
The doggs got to it
Let me know If you have it and how much.its been 10 years I have been lookin for this darn fabric.
Supposed to be a lazy boy 🛋
Synthetic
I don't want a rocker, I want a swivel glider recliner with a handle and I can't find one!
I'm binge watching your training videos as I want to buy a Nouveau chair soon. You're a great trainer!
La-Z-Boy world headquarters are in my hometown
I bought two leather products from lazy boys: one is a rocking recliner with faux leather, another is an office chair from staples ( with lazy boy as manufacturer). Both leather disintegrated to pieces in 2-3 years. Quite disappointed with the quality. Buyer beware.
Excellent! This is the most informative recliner video I've watched.
Lazy boys r3cliners built different
Kiss your money goodbye especially on special orders. Its cheap junk now. There is no exchange or refunds on special orders even if they are the ones that mess it up. They ignore you if you have a problem with a regular order until the time limit is up on refunds/exchanges which is 2 weeks. They will get back in touch with you a day after the time limit. They are a joke now. Oh, btw they say 3 week delivery but it ends up being 3-7 months. Save your money and go to Haverty’s, Costco, Ahley’sFurniture, etc. anywhere but La z boy.
LaZboy is reliably 6-8 weeks. And is DEFINITELY not cheap junk, they are some of the best quality in the industry. Also, I notice that you mentioned Ashley. Ashley furniture is complete trash, it'll be ruined in 3-5 years. You clearly don't know what you're talking about and have some sort of bias.
@@itsmeta4 - you must work for Lazboy to make a comment like that. Customer service is nonexistent. It took months , not weeks, to get my furniture and what they delivered was not the same thing that I sat on in the showroom. I had been buying lazboy furniture for decades and never had a problem until this last purchase which is the last time I will ever buy from them again. I would rather buy from a thrift store before I ever buy anything from lazboy.
I've had my big guy leather recliner/rocker since 2008. I had to have the ratchet mechanism replaced a couple years back and only now am looking into replacing the seat poly foam, which only lasts about 5 years from what the service tech told me. This chair has been heavily used and is one I would buy again, no doubt. The service call did cost me $100 but all reclining mechanism parts were covered. No China recliner for me...me love my recliner long time...
If you have a La-z-boy recliner, you have a China Recliner, La-Z-Boy's are made in China and assembled in the U.S....
I have done business with La-Z-Boy for decades. Recently I spent $3500 on a sofa and a recliner rocker. The quality is terrible. What you sit on in the show room is not what they deliver. The quality is night and day.Customer service is out the window. They do not care on e they have tour money. It’s all about how many pieces of furniture they can crank out and they don’t care about the quality anymore. So anybody that buys furniture from La-Z-Boy is stuck with the crap they get because lazboy will not do anything to help you. So if you’re smart go somewhere else for your furniture because lazboy will screw you
Mine broke the first day I had it, then broke 2 more times before the spring under the cushion broke. I will never by another LA-Z-Boy for as long as I live. Give me LANE or nothing.
LB’s new stuff is junk! You won’t get 20yrs out of their new recliners but you’ll pay triple what you did for your 20 year old LB!
Oh it has no where for the remote to rest so Its constantly going down into the chair I had to buy a new remote myself .what do you reccomend for me ?
Remote holder fits on arm of any chair
What do you do for a chair that creaks and scrubs and creaks when lowering . The people that I bought it from told me to oil it .I paid 1,000 dollars for this chair .did they take advantage of my granddaughter, I had broken my left arm and had bad knee so I had to have this chair ..
They sell crap now. Absolute garbage. Spent over $3800 on sofa/recliner. Hated by the second day. Started calling by the 3 rd day. Sofa is rock hard and the seams on recliner don’t line up with creases so it is like sitting on ropes. There is a 2 week window for refunds and exchanges. After several calls AND several emails, no one got back with me until the day after the time limit expired. Its not about quality and customer service anymore. It’s about whipping out as much furniture as they can and telling bold face lies to keep your money. They keep giving me the runaround and passing the buck so they don’t have to deal with me. But I’ve been nagging them until they can get people out here to actually do something about the problems I’ve on one of the pieces of furniture I got that broke. The first guy was pretty good and understanding but all he could do is pass on my complaint. The second guy they sent out had a real attitude problem and try to nickel and dime me. Then when another tech had to come out they sent the first guy that I asked for. He bought a new base for the rocker to replace and it was the wrong size. So after waiting several months I called to see if they were going to send the 1st tech back out to replace the base of the rocker. I specifically asked for the first tech (Mike) that came out. They said no problem. The guy with the bad attitude was the one that showed up. I made him leave. And now they’re supposed to send out Mike in a couple weeks. I don’t know what kind of game they’re playing but I hope people read this post and do what I suggest. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
My lay boy is still like new after 20 years. I do look after it.
The new ones are NOT of equal quality.
A friend gave me a 20+ year old leather Lazy Boy. It not only still looks new but has zero problems.
Bought my LazyBoy from @t. Just don’t purchase the 5-year extended warranty, it’s a sham! I filed a claim about the sagging seat in my 17 month old Lazy-Boy leather recliner/rocker and because I said it happened over time, the warranty didn’t cover it????!!! They will only cover issues that you report within 30days of it happening. They know the foam wears over time so it’s never going to be covered. I highly suggest that with any problem that occurs, report it happening within that 30 day period. Because I was honest, I got played by the warranty people. I bought this at Wayfair, which will be my last purchase.

Why is it very hard to find repair parts ???? 😡
Mine is a mess after 5 years. I’m waiting to hear back from customer service on what they will do to rectify this
It's only been two years since your post, so they seem to on schedule.
We bought a family room full of furniture. They SOLD us the extended warranty stating it covered everything for 5 years. On one $1000 leather recliner we added memory foam cushions. The foam in that chair failed and was defective. Neither La-Z-Boy or the warranty folks will do anything for us. We do not have an issue with this store but we do with La-Z-Boy not doing anything for us. We at least wanted the useless warranty cost of $249 to be refunded but they refused. They offered to replace the cushion for over $600. So two suggestions: 1) DO NOT pay extra for the memory foam. It was the only chair that failed to perform in our 15 yrs of buying from them. 2) DO NOT buy the warranty. It is only for accidental damage and not for anything else. It is really just an insurance policy and we were told otherwise when we bought it. Sad we have an expensive chair that now looks like crap. We will not likely buy any more of their products due to the very poor customer support.
Tried chair in store not noisy but the one I got that was wrapped up when got home it is very very noisy opening and closing. Nobody can use it if anyone in the house is asleep. Scrappy very loud noisy ratcheting sound!!!!
Ive owned two recliners in the last couple years. It would be nice if they made something that wouldn't fall apart.
GENUINE LAZBOYS? That's the point.
Lazyboy is hit or miss. They use to be worth the cost. Not anymore.
@@mattjameson4087. How to tell if it’s a genuine or fake LB??
Don't be fooled ! lazyboy recliners have plastic parts in their mechanisms won't last very long !!!!!
La-Z boy will fix there recliners at a great cost!!!
