INCREASE YOUR SKATING SPEED - 10 MINUTES WORKOUT FOR HOCKEY PLAYERS
Hey guys !
In this video, I prepared tabata for quick feet and skating movement workout 8 rounds of 20 seconds work / 20 seconds rest. Drills are more focus on speed and agility which is very important for ice hockey players. This training session you can do at home without fancy equipment. If you want to improve just do it ! I recommend practicing to repeat 3x and at least twice a week at home, but ideally every day if you can.

So is it true you should land on the outside edge before collapsing the ankle and starting to push with the inside edge?
As a grown as man who hasn’t skated in 20 years and starting again, that outside edge drill is definitely humbling… try it if you think I’m talking sh!t

I think you would do it based on your child's stride length. You could have your child do a lunge (comfortably) and use that as a starting point.

Why is the deep squat important or why do it?
Deep squat is important for ankles, knees and hip mobility. In my opinion, If some players can't do it. Something is wrong. It can be their equipment size or wrong lacing or mobility problem.

You can get a wooden one or a hard plastic one that he has it the same. I use the wooden one and it works.
