THE MOST SOLD CAR IN ICELAND - Dacia Duster Essential Review
มุมมอง 9985 หลายเดือนก่อน
Why is the Dacia Duster the most sold car in Iceland? It's just a very good bang for the buck. Fair build quality, 4x4, good MPG, and does everything that you need it to do perfectly, but doesn't give you everything you want. Especially in Iceland where you just need a 4x4, this is the cheapest option you can get and is not something to scoff at. Just for $21,000, I am surprised as to why Dacia...

mine got heated seats you just gotta get the option
You really need to tell me where in the Mexico this beauty of a road exists
Is the preferred mazda 3 the signature version?
Good trip car? It’s rough ride and loud. I’ll take the GTS 4.0 if you’re doing that
That water jug is a joke, right?
GT4 keeps up pretty well. Seems like lots of fun
Sick video!!!
Nice driving
is it significantly better with the dynamic handling pack? have you driven an lc 500 without one? i'm contemplating on getting the DHP, i just wish it could be opt with the glass roof instead of the carbon roof. since it's a pretty small interior and the glass roof makes things much more airy
the dynamic handling pack is a must, I also drove an lc with and without, and it makes a big difference in making the car feel like either a luxury cruiser or a capable gt car. if you have the chance, try driving one with and one without dhp
The LC500 should have been logicaly the latest TOYOTA SUPRA.
@@jacquesraymond6892 the new Supras are very nice too
@@gentianmedia3814 They are more BMW'S than TOYOTA'S.
you can feel the body roll. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Nice video man
stupid censorship, why? why?
suppoorting fellow you tubers
Is the g21 touring also sold in the usa?
This or 2025 civic lx. Decisions, decisions.
speed limiter is more of a gimmick. The best type of cruise control is adaptive cruise control, which will break the car when necessary, like when you have a slower moving vehicle in front of you and will keep a certain distance. Anything less and is one of the most dangerous feature a car can have.
Update: You can now get a 2024 Duster with manual windows in the back :)
That reflection of the dash on the windshield would drive me 'round the twist, glad I ordered the Rioja red that has the black dash, great video otherwise
This is the Essential trim level which in the entry level into the Duster. There are four trim levels Essential, Expression, Journey, Extreme. If you move up to the next trim you get electric windows all round, alloy wheels and a infotainment system. The Exreme is a pretty high spec given it starts at around £22k up to £25k depending on engine and 4x4 or 2x4. Great cars i have had mine in the UK for 2 years now and has been perfect and being the Journey spec has everything i need in a car. Check out the Duster 3 a great looking car.
Thanks for the information! We had this as a rental car, so we didn't look into the trim level it was at. Good to know!
This is the lowest trim level that you can get ..!!!! Try to look at the Prestige trim level at least 😉👍
check the 3rd gen of Duster
Skyline?
Id take previous model years with out the ugly info screen. Old ones good enough
how is the suspension on this 2024. I have rx350 on 21", is it comparable for daily driving?
Suspension is very soft and compliant, absolutely no problems with daily driving. Might be smoother than your RX
Thanks for sharing. I have the same spec. Was this in TN?
Nope, other side of the country (and maybe a little down south ;) )
gotta be my dream car
Such a shame Lexus listened to the idiots and destroyed such a beautiful interior with that fake iPad media screen. The built in screen looked incredibly well integrated before. This looks like an afterthought on a sub $20k car. You are meant to be looking out of the windscreen not fiddling with media while driving so why make it easier to get distracted with stupid touch screens. There needs to be a law against using them while driving.
Works much better than the old screen with the mouse! I’ll take it.
Agreed, it really is an abomination compared to the original and I don’t care how well it “works”. I literally get into the infotainment system once before driving off and never touch it again. I want to trade my 21 in on the last model year and I don’t know if I can do it because of this nonsense. If they add a trans cooler in the US it would make it a little easier to stomach that trash tablet.
@@thewholeeventhorizon 24 model in usa trans cooler dont ?
@@АлександрПрайм-я7б right no trans cooler for 24 USA. Maybe for the 25?

LC it's just perfect , since I live in Europe. I have drive in the Alps, Italy, autobahn. Very comfy ,power enaugh for me. Did reach speed 275 km, in Germany. Dealership they are really hands on.
More people should watch this video. The LC (and other Lexus products) are quite capable and at-home up in the mountains/canyons.
I passed one of these in the NC mountains last week and have been doing a lot of reading up on them. Looks like a fantastic car. Sounds wicked !
I own an IS500 and was given the opportunity to test drive an LC500 from my dealer....sorry guys there is no comparison. The LC500 on paper is not the fastest car in the world, but the driving experience cannot be explained. This machine is literally a unicorn. No matter how you drive it, you will smile at least, and laugh daily. Literally the perfect street car. Win on the track, nah...probably not...stop light to stop light....likely but not guaranteed....driver satisfaction..I've never driven a vehicle that I have wanted this much.
I 100% agree, it’s definitely not the fastest car you can get for the money but the overall driving experience is just incredible… still prefer my GT4 though ;) but I’ll admit the LC is a better car overall
So it was good on the twisties? How’s the steering feel? Did this car have 4 wheel steering? Did it feel big?
@@jsonli I’ve driven a lot of cars on this road from Miata’s to GT3’s and the LC is top 5 best driving experiences I’ve had. Sure it’s not the fastest but the overall driving experience is just amazing. Steering feel is a bit numb. the LC belongs to my dad and he’s a big car enthusiast and he believes the car is very soft. However, I do believe this has more steering feel than any bmw F8X I’ve driven. My GT4 has more feel through and through. This car is a 2024 with dynamic handling package, so it has the RWS. I’ve driven one without RWS and it makes a HUGE difference. The LC is still a big and heavy car but with the RWS it feels more nimble; I akin it to a hippo wearing ballerina shoes 😂. As an overall car with the comfort and leather and performance it’s an amazing package, but it’s not as sporty as a Porsche if that’s what you’re looking for. Thanks for watching!
@@gentianmedia3814 Exactly, the IS500 is a comfort sedan with some hidden sportiness that will poke it's head out when asked...also very tail happy. I've learned to live with the flashing traction control light at every stop....unless I turn off traction control at which point it is extremely happy to lay double black lines to 100+feet. The LC is more planted, firmer and sportier in all sections but not the harsh true sports car. It literally is the definition of GT coupe (Grand Touring). More then enough power and speed to get some chrome plated bracelets...but a touch of class that cannot be explained. Honestly my dream car since I was a kid was the Porsche 911....but it has been replaced by the LC. Maybe it's because I am old...and appreciate the refinement over the pure sports mindedness of other cars. If you're looking for a street racer..this aint it.
I have one and couldn't agree more. Love it!
Would you say this video provides an accurate depiction of what the “toasted caramel” interior color looks like in person? It looks terrible in the online configurator on Lexus’s website, but actually looks really good in this video
Yes, this id say the video 95% representative to how the leather actually looks. I personally love it.
caramel is unquestionably the best interior on this car
I just bought one with the toasted caramel interior! It’s gorgeous!
I just wish the LC had that one actual climate control ventilation buttons where you can quickly switch from defrost to ventilating forward, bottom, or both. Instead Lexus decided to hide the climate control button in the Lexus app along with the heated/ventilated seat button.
The 2024 cars have the new infotainment so it is just a button on top of the volume knob that leads to the climate screen. I prefer a physical button for those as well (especially a sync button) but it could be worse
I have the LC 21' with the old infotainment system. I enabled 'climate concierge' and in the 1.5 years of ownership never had to go into the climate menu to fiddle with anything. Only used the temperature rocker switch occasionally. I think the whole issue is overblown. The 24' model improved it with a touch screen, but older models are fine.
@@robohofo1 I rented a 24’ LC500 for a week and I had to go through at least two layers of the Lexus UI system just to access the climate controls. Also, the climate control UI screen is also different layer from the heated/ventilated seat and heated steering wheel screen. I’m aware there’s a heated/ventilated seat bottom under the aluminum volume knob near the gear shift, but after pressing that button I need to also touch the screen to adjust my settings vs. the traditional Lexus Heated/Ventilated seat buttons. A simple climate button would’ve solved all these extra steps.
@@gentianmedia3814 If my memory serves my right, the heated/ventilated seat button was below the aluminum volume knob…but I could be wrong. I just hated the fact I had to go through multiple steps just to achieve the desired climate settings versus the traditional Lexus heated/ventilated buttons which eliminates the step touching the screen plus provides you information on what setting via how many leds are lighted up. But, I do agree with you. It could be much worse.
@@criancrna1487 it aint that hard
Did you have this in sport+? Any overheating issues with the trans? From what I hear, the new '24 LC500s come with trans coolers so I was wondering if thats true.
Yes, it was in sport plus. I actually overheated the trans in the video at 9:50, but I kept up shifting and downshifting when I arguably didn’t needed to. I just drove it in one gear for 5 min then it resolved. That’s the only issue I had with the car. I think the TH-camr savage geese but higher grade fluid in his LC trans and it helped but it’s definitely still a weak-point in the car.
@@gentianmedia3814thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I currently own a GSF but I absolutely love the LC. Complete package GT car but I do wish it had the additional go-fast goodies to keep the temps down

How much was involved with the install?
I've been thinking of getting this or the Jetta sport manual.
I found your channel while researching the GT4 and was amused to see this because the hamilton collection is local to me haha. Henry is the man, I've rented their aventador sv and their twin turbo R8. I do feel bad for him though because he's at the mercy of whatever psycho is driving the cars. He told me when they first started renting cars, some dude rented the senna and absolutely put the hammer down on the highway and reached something like 180
Wow small world!! Henry is awesome, I called last minute for a rental and he organized us to drive the 918 and we also had the senna available. Definitely takes some balls to sit along with strangers but the high pricing should filter the crazy people out ;) thanks for watching!
@@gentianmedia3814 I mean compared to what usual exotic car rental companies charge for huracans and 570s, these guys rates are pretty darn cheap for the caliber of cars they let you drive. I was going to rent the Chiron ss when they had the prices on sale but I wasn’t 23 at the time
